Absolute nonsense

The same Jesus that said if you have faith as little as a mustard seed is incapable of healing all those people who genuinely need help in Igbobi

From what I have observed god's standards are very low undecided
Doubt/fear is opposite of faith and not little faith.

Jesus that cannot cure ordinary malaria is that one Jesus undecided
Beware of people professing faith but instead have huge doubt. Jesus doesn't heal those one as it will I'll amount to tempting God to compromise His own principles and standards.

Oga Originakalokalo, the above seem to be just stories. What makes you think that they actually happened in the real world?
You can start claiming they never happened because neither you and I was there, and it will be hard to prove, but I believe they happened and know they are still happening.

I know you are intelligent enough to undertand the point i was making regarding university industrial action. ASUU goes on strike more than every single other union in the country.

I don't understand your question about ASUU making wage bill high. Again, the point i was trying to make is govt spends a large portion of the Nation's wealth to fund universities. And it wouldn't be bad if these unis can in turn seek collaborations with the private sector to generate more income.
The ASUU men and women have next to nothing they can trade for private sponsorship. Who will sponsor a corrupt school that can't generate relevant paper or ideas to help industrial growth? I wouldn't. All they know is more money.

Where is the lie coming from about UNESCO 26% mandatory education budget? Are you saying that seasoned academicians lifted that figure from the sky.

You are invariably saying they should strike in every five I suppose. 2017 and 2018 strikes by NLC was five year gap I suppose. This union bodies can never be satisfied. I blame the university for creating more universities resulting to compounded problem.

Was it ASUU that made the wage bill to be high or the university management that employed more staffs?.

[s]The University of Witwatersrand, South Africa today has 100% industry funding - south africa today has issues funding universities but the universities are taking initiatives to the private sector and are getting funding. The ASUU officials here only put on the cap of creativity when they want to go on the next strike.[/s]
The University Management gets their power largely from their ASUU bond.

As we speak right now 3 billion is lying fallow at Tetfund hqs as lecturers have refused to assess it. They claim the scrutiny in assessing it is too much. And i ask, if you can't go through the scrutiny for accessing Tetfund grants then how would you do so for Gates foundation, Rockerfellar foun, NIH etc.

Give ordinary ABUAD ordinary access to Tetfund research pool and that money would be used up in one year.

Look what universities have turned Tetfund faculty support program to. Instead of first class graduates getting funded, university administrators are now enlisting family members on foreign scholarships who never merited it. Some of the lecturers who got 10-15 million to study in Europe would take the money and run to an unkown school in Asia and pay less- some even disappear with the grant altogether without studying.

If i was the president i would redirect all Nigerian students to private institutions and pay less. ASUU should go and eat their empty schools.
There was a thread on Nairaland some times back about a body that sent mails to Nigerian public schools about their intention to aid these schools financially for smoother operation and only few of them bothered to respond weeks after the mails were sent out.

I am still trying to locate that thread for reference.

The main issue is seed development

We need to develop our own seeds for the product we import
Are you smoking seed ?

Seed isn't a big deal. Corruption is. With N10,000 I can import virtually any kind of seed from aliexpress or banggood or indiamart.

Have you asked why fertilizer supply chain to farmers still have a cabal controlling it?
Have you asked why Nigeria isn't doing large scale mechanized farming?
Why we can't process cocoa into high quality chocolate (a $100b industry 65% powered by African grown cocoa bean)? Why 30% of harvest is destroyed by poor storage or pest?
corruption is the answer.

“The continent is home to 50 per cent of the world’s cultivatable land, and has vast unexploited water resources and various agro-ecological zones,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, said in its latest bulletin that, “the potential of the blue economy, which incorporates a range of productive sectors in trade and marine services, is presently underutilised.

“Approximately 90 per cent of Africa’s trade is sea borne, but African-owned ships accounts for only 1.2 per cent of global shipping, and 0.9 per cent of gross tonnage, while African ports handle six per cent of global water borne traffic, and three per cent of global container traffic,” it stated.
Reasons like the bold is why we can't sit down and wait for private hands to go into agriculture. The Africa govt is one that frustrates citizens with corruption and bureaucracy. The revolution must start with the govt but unfortunately the govt is always trying to make agric look feasible for private individuals.

What happened behind the scene ?
Miracles are not some absolutely random act of God the way men have come to know or take it.
They are provoked by faith. They go to the truly hungry or thirsty. They are acts of God provoked by men.

Crime › Grave Of 12,000 ISIS Victims Discovered In Iraq by CodeTemplar(op): 7:14pm On Nov 06, 2018

Evidence of Islamic State's killings are being investigated for genocide by the UN
The UN has verified 202 sites containing 12,000 bodies across Iraq
The graves date from 2014 to 2017 when Islamic State's power was at its zenith
They killed with wanton savagery - women, children and the disabled

More than 200 mass graves containing 12,000 bodies, including women, children and the disabled, have been found in Iraq since Islamic State's brutal three-year reign.
UN investigators verified 202 graves fill northern Iraq as a 'legacy of Isil's terror', according to a joint report by the UN mission to Iraq and UN office for human rights.
The scale of the killings could lead the UN to finding ISIS responsible for genocide.
The graves date from 2014 to 2017 when ISIS ruled some of Iraq's largest cities and towns.

As the militants swept through Iraq and neighboring Syria, they killed and captured members of the security forces en masse, expelled or killed minorities, and enslaved women and girls from the Yazidi sect.
The Sinjar region, home to around 400,000 Yazidis was ravaged by ISIS in August 2014.
The UN estimated more than 5,000 were rounded up and slaughtered, while another 5,000 were taken as sex slaves.
Several graves found in Iraq's Salahuddin province contain the remains of victims of the 2014 Camp Speicher massacre, when the militants killed around 1,700 Iraqi security forces and army cadets.
Armed jihadis captured the young, mostly Shiite recruits from Speicher military base, near the northern city of Tikrit and were lined up and executed.

They were buried hastily and some of them were simply thrown into the Tigris river.
In other locations the militants dropped their victims or the corpses of their victims in wells or sinkholes instead of digging graves.
Investigators said there could be thousands of bodies in the Khasfa sinkhole south of Mosul, the largest city once under IS control.
Iraqi authorities have exhumed the remains of 1,258 victims from 28 graves, according to the UN.

It urged authorities to identify the remains of all gravesite victims and seek justice for families.
It said bodies should be preserved and returned to families.
Iraq's Mass Graves Directorate and Martyrs' Commission could not be reached for immediate comment.
Iraq declared victory over IS in December last year, but the militants still control pockets of territory just across the border in Syria, and continue to claim responsibility for abductions and bomb blasts around the country.

I opened a similar thread for both APC and PDP but the usual suspects here on Nairaland avoided it like a plaque.

Let all major candidate and parties takes a stance on sensitive and pressing issues like

Herdsmen / farmers clash
PIGB
Federal character principle
Education funding and corrupt learning institutions
The NNPC underperformance issues.
Corrupttion
Restructuring
Food security
Diversification of economy from crude sales
Boko Haram
Police
ND oil clean up
Debt management
Agricultural plan
Health sector plan
Power sector plans
Ease of doing business

Any candidate or party that cannot take a stance openly has devilish plans for Nigerians.

That is really not just a prophecy but a visionary drive. The University has a solid strategic plan on how to bring this to reality.

And you would be amazed what Nigerian lecturers can do when backed by solid funding. The church is very willing to bankroll this venture. If anything i am very certain CU's dept of Economics has what it takes to produce a Nobel Prize Winner in Economics.
Exactly!
The bishop has a better idea about making a Nobel laureate than what most people may realize.
