Kx: Pls dont crucify the op.
Whether 1 riyal is N48 or whatever amount is not the issue here.
The point being made is that fuel from an oil producing saudi arabia costs 50% less than bottle water.
To bring the argument home; it implies that a litre of fuel in Nigeria should cost at least N25p.l since bottle water costs N50. but water is more valuable in the desert than oil |

The want for better renumeration by other health workers translates to competing and wanting to be Drs, yet Drs will always cry abt being underpaid and fight for better remuneration bt others shld just take it as it is since they knew b4 getting in. dnt come here with ur low IQ & quote me again. They're agitating for equal pay with doctors. It's totally different. Go figure |

lolaed: Pharmacists forming a union with these other people irks me. they have thrown their profession to the dogs. and no, it is completely absurd for a ward orderly to want the same salary level as a Doctor and for pharmacists and lab workers to join in such ridiculous agitations.
These people are only trying to sabotage tthe Federal Government and should be dealt with accordingly. I don't know why ppl complicate stuff. There's a stipulated salary for each profession and every right thinking person should be aware of this before embarking on such career path. If you think nurses salary is inadequate compared to your passion to be a nurse and would prefer the salary of a doctor please by all means go to medical school and be ready to endure all the stress of the profession. There's no high paying job that is easy. The best paid are usually the most difficult and vice versa |
Romance › Re: Why You Should Marry A Working Lady by ColeworldMD(m): 8:11pm On Jan 29, 2016 |
pinkydove: So much relationship concerns are running it the minds of people, in particular between young folks. Most young guys and ladies are asking many questions concerning their relationship. Some of the questions asked are if it is alright for a working class man to date a girl still in tertiary school with the mindset of marrying her; others ask what age range is ok for a girl to have a boyfriend. Some guys are complaining that they found their girlfriend with another guy if they should break up the relationship? Most of these questions are the reason some relationships that have lasted several years come to an end with a shock. This article focuses on why you should marry a lady who is working. Even as at this, it doesn’t mean that I am against dating a lady still studying in school, rather am aginst dating a lady that still thinks as she is in school. So read on to know why I write this post. The climax of this article is that dating a working class lady has much more advantage than dating an undergrad. Why? Below are my reasons: she gets to know the real necessities of every man thus growing into matrimony with some form of appropriate knowledge. (Just hope she doesn't meet the wrong women at work). Thanks for reading. op thanks for sharing with us. I especially like the fact that it was posted by a lady. Some women won't want equality in this case, they'd rather marry someone who they lay all complaints to including recharge card & new hair money. Smh |

nzeobi: You are to some extent correct but it doesn't apply in all cases. What matters is the understanding because some working class ladies can be selfish and then rough handle you or even turn you to house boy. that's a poor man's mentality. If u're also working and earning ur cash prolly more than her u won't even have her time talk less of her turning u into house wife boy. Admittedly career oriented women can be selfish because it's still a thing of pride & achievement in our environment. |

cionon: You are right. You never can tell. I married a man I loved and thought he loved me. He never gave the impression he didn't love me. He never acted strange. When he wronged, he appologised but now married and it became a different thing entirely only for him to tell me he never loved or had interest in me from the beginning. We are separated now This is why marriage scares me. I think there's smth u're not spilling... maybe he had ulterior motive, like satisfying pressure from family or he met someone new! grandstar: its the main source. Before Tv revenues became huge, players had second jobs maybe u're right. I was thinking what happens to a team that falls from top four to battling relegation over a couple of seasons, how are they going to deal with such change as regards to paying wages |
TV/Movies › Re: Reps Bill To Break Monopoly Of DSTV Passes Through 2nd Reading by ColeworldMD(m): 10:50pm On Jan 15, 2016 |
grandstar: tv companies pay big money. to have sole. broadcasts rights of the matches on television.
For instance, sky and bt sport paid 5.14billion pounds too have the sole rights tp broadcast the premiership for 3 seasons.
So if you want to watch a premiership match on tv, you have to pay for sky subscription.
sky will now resell the rights to broadcast it in Africa to DSTV. That's why you need a DSTV subscription to watch these matches.
A large part of the billiins paid is sharedd amongst the premiership club based on their rankings.
So Leicester and Watford which are relative newcomerss could make massive sums if they remain top 10 oh well that's part of their revenue but not the main source of players wages. |
TV/Movies › Re: Reps Bill To Break Monopoly Of DSTV Passes Through 2nd Reading by ColeworldMD(m): 8:59am On Jan 15, 2016 |
grandstar: The high cost of entry into cable tv is the problem. It will cost billions of naira to enter and still take years before you break even.
Also, broadcasts rights to football games are prohibitive. What do you think sustains Mikel's 80,000 a week salary? Its certainly not entrance fees.
Added to that is the high cost of credit ie 25%. That's what ran those guys out of business pls what's the link btw football broadcast rights & players wages? |

oilykid: Bro, discrimination is something that is common not just to the black race even among the white but its more rampant among the blacks and I don't see it ending anytime soon no matter how educated everyone becomes. So, don't make it look that its peculiar to igbos alone..FYI, Enugu ezike is in Igbo Eze and not in Nsukka local govt and am yet to meet anybody from Nsukka that denies his origin.. You see that's where the problem is. Literacy rate in Nigeria is 61.3%. Now compare this to other countries in the attached picture. Again racism is a whole new topic of discussion but the truth is the more educated u are the more tolerant u're and the more u're open to new ideas and ultimately less judgmental which IMO is the major cause of this tribal bigotry. OP try ur best to spread love & pray, hopefully things will get better. Chris Rock once said. "Who are more racist, black ppl or white ppl?" He answered "black ppl, cuz anything white ppl dnt like about black ppl, black ppl really don't like it about black ppl" meaning black ppl even hate themselves more than white ppl hate them. It's just the sad truth

tafrica: I understand you, that was I added "by loan or anything" Dangote wouldn't have invested $14bn without loans. And don't forget this refinery will be one of the largest production capacities in the world if the news I read is true. The refinery refines crude oil, will also produce petrochemicals and fertilizers; this could have said a lot about the investment. I believe any interested investor could have tried it also perhaps the lower capacity ones with less investment. oh yeah.. Word is the land is as big as the largest in the world but half will be built first to test waters. I see him entering top 5 in a short time. That man is truly blessed. Entrepreneurship is the most profitable career in Nigeria, can't wait to become one. May God bless us in our endeavors. |

tafrica: I read that the project would cost N2.8Tn, I don't know if that estimation is true. I asked myself if we never had any rich Nigerian that could have invested on project like this before, either by loan or something. But as usual, we'll cry Dangote is monopolising Nigeria. Wonder if Any one has tried to invest in refinery like this and Government frustrated the plan. Imagine how much Forex Dangote will generate. He will source for the raw materials locally, we are blessed with light and sweet oil, then he sells to us and also exports, he builds Foreign exchange reserves. you made a lot of impressive comments here to which I just want to make a little addition. N2.8trn is (about $14bn) and Dangote is contributing 50% which is (about $7bn, half of his net worth) remember Forbes put his net worth at $14.7bn last year as Africa's richest man & Mike Adenuga at $4.2bn at a distant second in Nigeria. Now do you really believe there's another man that can cough out $7bn in Nigeria? Again ppl say there're "low key" men in Nigeria that are richer than Dangote but if their money is legit they should come out! I stand to be corrected though |

In the 60's to 90's Pegeout was the reigning car brand names just like Toyota, Honda and the rest are of today. Come year 2060 it may be another name in vogue.
Come year 2060, it me be 'Emek' cut from Emeka just like 'Suzuki' 'Honda' cut from the real names of the makers.
