grandstar: God didn't take away your babies. Never, ever say that!
Below is what Job 34: 10- 12 says
So listen to me, you men of understanding:* It is unthinkable for the true God to act wickedly,+ For the Almighty to do wrong!+ 11 For he will reward a man according to what he does+ And bring upon him the consequences of his ways. 12 For a certainty, God does not act wickedly;+ The Almighty does not pervert justice.+
Rather bad things can happen at anytime to anyone! Even Jesus faced the threat f being killed in a storm.
Please read Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 which says
11 I have seen something further under the sun, that the swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, + nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches,+ nor do those with knowledge always have success,+ because time and unexpected events* overtake them all.
12 For man does not know his time.+ Just as fish are caught in an evil net and birds are caught in a trap, so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaster,* when it suddenly overtakes them.
So God is not to blame. He made everything pretty in its time but the devil come put sand sand in we garri (Read Eccl 3:11, John 8:44, 1 John 5:19)
Let's all pray for God's kingdom to come and rescue all groaning creation. That is the only hope for mankind (Read Matthew 6:10)
Read what Psalms 72:12-14 says will happen when God's kingdom comes
12 For he will rescue the poor who cry for help, Also the lowly one and whoever has no helper. 13 He will have pity on the lowly and the poor, And the lives* of the poor he will save. 14 From oppression and from violence he will rescue them,* And their blood will be precious in his eyes. In your haste, you forgot a portion of the bible. JOB chapter 1 vs 21 says the Lord giveth and He TAKETH. Blessed be the name of the Lord...... That too is from the bible. So I dont understand this one you are saying o. |

adem30: Bro, when we clamour for youth to take over this country, I bet you that we might find ourselves in more mess than what we currenctly are. Mind you, I am a youth and partly support youth taking over, but before we move to that level, do we really define the kind of youth we want?
Take for instance, lets make take Nairaland forum as instance, some categories of youths we have here are more corrupt than those old thieves, both minded and character, this will give you a clue to the future leaders we are nurturing.
Another example are the present youth in the politics e.g, Dino, Saraki, Gov. Bello etc what future do this country have in such people? Most people shouting now are only doing this for personal gain.
My conclusion is, If truly We youth are ready to lead this country, we must start from condemning every single corrupt leaders no matter their Party, Religion, Ethnic. It is so annoying seeing youth who can not yet define their future supporting an accused person facing trial. They use us to make their ways to the top and then dump us by the road side, waiting for another 4yrs to be sharing 1k, 2k highest 5k
The major problem buhari have today is doing what no other past president have gut to do, by standing against corruption (though one sided) this makes him gather more enemies even in his own camp. What are our own contribution the fight against corruption? Condemnations. Mind you, If Buhari refused to steal any kobo for all the time he will spend in office none of his children will be poor. What I was expecting is, why cant we allow someone to lay a foundation to fight against corruption and let better person take it up and do it proper latter? All we contribute online is to abuse each other religion, ethnics while those idiots will meet in Abuja and laugh at us.
Did you ever see Yusuf Buhari during his father's campaign? NO, he only came back with him for innaguration while many youths lost their lifes and some wounded during his campaign.
We better get it right once and for All Dino and Saraki are youths? Oh Lord of Mercy! |
Sports › Re: Remembering Yakubu Aiyegbeni Today- His June 2010 Miss Cannot Be Overemphasized by Collins10(m): 9:12pm On Jun 29, 2017 |
chinchum: It wasnt the miss that was entirely painful, it was the worth of the miss. It was a game we badly needed any type of win to progress. It wont really hurt if we were 2 goals up and he failed to score.
For me, Sani kaita was the one who deserve to be blacklisted the most for conceding a silly red card at less than 40 minutes in to the game of the previous match. It was a match we most likely would have defeated the greeks as were a lone goal up, but we lost 2-1 at end of the game. If Yakubu had not missed, we wouldnt be calling Keita na! See, there was no total guarantee we would have even won that game. It was 1-0. People do not neccesarily need red cards to initiate a comeback... But wetin pain me na the quality of the miss, not just the worth. If it was an outside 18-yard box shot that Yakubu played and it hit the bar, you think people will react like this? It would have been a miss but people will be like "Na outside 18 na. E for score am o but e try." All the same, the thing pain all of us shaa. But nobody should give Yakubu positive words like "He later scored na" OR "He is the 3rd highest scorer in the country." Lets face it: Dude shamelessly messed up big time! |

Game ended 2-2 , and we needed a win to progress to the second round of the South Africa 2010 world cup. We didnt forget o. That miss is out of this world! Even if a person scores a hattrick in a game, does it totally remove the memory of such a miss? Watch that thing again o. |

Of course, she gave the guy the money to present since she was heavily pregnant and felt she needed to cover her shame at the time. He also beat after she delivered and kept defrauding her. She lost a very stable job because of him.
I'm not defending Tonto though because she actually went too far by insulting the man and his mother online like that. I feel so sorry for your friend... But that part where you said you no see the money again is not neccessary na. I mean it is of total irrelevance to the credence of your story. |

Look at it this way: What If Tonto transferred the money secretly to Churchill's bank account or if she gave the money to him in the bedroom when they were alone, and Churchill in turn handed the money over to his people to pay You think his people will not return for the brideprice? As far as they are concerned, Churchill paid it. And its not even like Tonto has a proof to show that she paid it! Its simple logic na! |

Nevertheless it's a commendable scheme from the Government whom we know is battling recession.
