thoniann: I wonder where he lost it. This dude used to be the first foreign based player to report to camp anywhere in the world. Na waaa!
That was when he was still looking for clubs, the moment he got what he wanted and signed for a premier league club, we saw his true colours. Odemwingie is big trouble, his talent does not match the troubles he brings at all. 9 goals in ten years.

Bobbystanley: Age factor is one major problem that has killed Nigerian football..the likes of
Chrisantus
Ramon Azeez
Stanley Okoro
Ajiboye
And most fantastic guys dat won the U-17 world cup back in 2007 and also got to the final of the 2009 edition hosted in our own country..after the tournament u will never hear their names again because the played those tournament wit dia last strength.
See Sunday Mba said he is 23years wen we all know dat he should be in his late 30's.

In conclusion,Let's just be realistic about age because we've got the talents accross the country and we need scouts to discover them..thanks
what about Oduamadi, Omeruo, Obabona, Onazi, Mikel etc, they all played underage tournaments and we still hear their names today.

lineal: Uruguayans will not allow us to beat them. They bleed football.

But faith is good. I will support us and enjoy it even more if we win along the way.
Bleed football indeed, they have won just one out of their last five matches.

julioralph: Its simple Logic...
Suarez, Cavani and co are v.fast forwards.
While Ambrose etc are quite slow...
I hope we win but a draw wouldnt be a bad result.

Poor logic, what about our fast forwards and their slow defenders?

artade: Mikel sure gave world-class killer passes. The only problem was that the passes were sent to jet-lagged tortoise-legged strikers who lost all of over 4 one-on-ones with a professional driver cum part-time goalkeeper. So Mikel was hardly ever the problem in that match.
Tell them

optimus-prime1:
lets look@ J.O.Mikels records a bit shall we; individual and team efforts.
1- Second best player FIFA youth championships
2- Second best player AFCON
3- Second best player in Africa CAF on 2 occasions
4- second best midfeild player in Africa CAF currently- just behind Man city's Yaya Toure
5- Champions league winner
6- premiership winner
7- Video Game appearances
8- AFCON winner... The list goes on
yet he struggled to make an impact in midfeild while playing against Teachers, Janitors, Drivers and Fishermen who have no Idea of professional football...
Mikel could'nt even score, coming from a player with a high Coaching career prospect when he retires...
Mheeen I was embarrassed
Your parents are also embarrassed. What have you achieved in life?

He has returned to fitness, training with his club now.

cute9ja: we cannot play well for 10 mins, simply beacuse they are not 'proffesional footballers'...and I bet the super eagles players will find our various occupations difficult too... It's a shame, a team of only one professional footballer, Tahiti, and truck pushers, vendors, mechanics that just came together scored a goal! And even outplayed the super eagles for about 15 mins!...think before u talk
Watch Tahiti against Spain and Uruguay before making your conclusion. Those players are representing Nigeria in their profession, who knows you and your profession? How many people gather to watch you when you work? Rubbish

omanzo02: Osaze was on BBC sport as analyst for the match, and he spoke in support of the team, one thing I noticed he always use 'we' when making reference to Nigeria.
so what, is he not a Nigerian? He shouldn't come anywhere near the team though.

Afam4eva: New Zealand and Australia are not longer in the Oceania division. They play in the Asian division now. Tahiti beat the likes of Solomon islands, Faroe Islands etc to make it to the confederations.
new zealand is still there, they were knocked out in the semis
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Tahiti - Confederations Cup: (6 - 1) On 17th June 2013 by collynzo2(m): 9:23am On Jun 18, 2013
honeric01: Imagine, the same New zealand that lost no game in the world cup lost the continental crown to this same "plumber" of a Tahiti team..... Tahiti didn't get here for the fun, they defeated countries to get here!

I think the 1:0 was from the last confederations cup. spain won with just 1:0
Tell that to the hypocrites here, watch them give excuse when Spain fail to score up to 6 against Tahiti. Just save this post.

Newzealand went unbeaten in the last world cup, all draws.

many hypocrites here, this is how people were calling for Keshi's head after poor performances during the group stage of the nations cup. After they won the AFCON, it emerged that the NFF were actually ready to sack him if they lost to Ivory Coast. The same people who were calling for Keshi's head turned on NFF for not having confidence in the coach. Many hypocrites.
