Think9ja:Nonsense talk. Your saviour has not being able to achieve anything positive |
Poch no Sabi work o. On top 1 nil, you comot all your attackers. For how long can he hold city without any attack. The man is a joke. I see man city winning this game. Oponu coach |
Hell Rufai must have something to say about these businessmen. These men are real tycoons. Many Northern leaders should be I jail by now. They play politics with the lives of their people |
This country is a funny place. I remembered how hard I tried commercial farming as a teacher then. Na cows chop all my cassava. A friend that was beside who also invested hard earned money couldn't even pick a pin out of the farm. When people's lives are in danger, how do you expect them to risk their lives to go to farm and come and be selling cheap products to you. Many farmers lost their lives and many are victims of kidnappers. When did it ever cross your minds to fight for their release? Many people especially those in the city usually think farmers are slaves that should just produce food for them and they give peanuts. In this present day Nigeria, it takes courage to farm. If you think am saying rubbish go farm for Benue or Katsina now. Useless people, instead of them to blame government for insecurities that has affected production, they blame farmers for not producing enough or for selling at high price. If they born una papa well, go and start farming. |
CodeTemplar:You don't understand what you're saying. Do Nigerians spend dollars? Is 0.5 USD a year ago what it is now in the Nigerian economy? When you float a currency, then it should have a defined range say 900 to 1000 naira per dollar over some years. It is from this you start to work to strengthen it and increase its value by bringing confidence into the economy for investors. But we know over the last few months, the value fluctuation of naira is too high. It was about #900/1usd a few months ago, today it is more than #1500/1USD. As of today, you can't really give the exchange rate a range. We hope it won't jump to #2000/1usd before month end. The government seems not to understand anything about how to stabilize naira because if they do, as of today, we should have had a stabilised exchange rate. But now, who is willing to put money in an economy that has it's currency undulating like an erratically displaced pendulum bob? How do you project for your company? Or you don't know that there's nothing that kills a new business faster than an unstable economy? How do you sustain your business with limited resources in the face of inflation when you have not even break even? Get more loans? You APC supporters really need to sit down and think. The problem I have with most of them is that they don't think deeply. They are shallow thinkers and that same thing is affecting those of them appointed in government. See the CBN governor, the economic team, the advisors, all of them are shallow and hasty thinkers. They don't think through to understand and device means to mitigate the consequences of their policies. They miss timings, mode of implementation, and the extent of the policies they implement. "Rush and do" people. Their supporters are evil worse. They defend what they don't understand. Many of them just think with their tails. It is well with Nigeria o |
AyeMoJuba:Mumu Is Tinubu sacrificing the way he tells people to sacrifice and endure sufferings? Sincerely, I am tempted to say that ALL APC supporters are Idiots. Imagine someone saying naira must be devalued further to attract investors. Who invests in an economy without value? I'm sure as you are now, you have a dollar account or trying to get one. And if you do that, it simply means you've invested in dollars not naira. You BAT supporters don't understand economics. You just open mouth WA! to say anything the government says. You don't think deeply. Have you asked yourself that since the instability of Naira issue, how many investors has the policy attracted? Sit down and think well before you talk. Patriotism is embedded in the knowledge and defence of truth of a nation, not in supporting just any government because of sentiments. |
Tajbol4splend:So even the North that farms well, can they go to farm now? The North stopped farming because of insecurities. So the government needs to fix that and stop blaming people who do not want to lose their lives producing food for ingrates like you. Food was never a problem before we had government in this country. That shows you that people will do their things with or without government. So stop blaming people. Blame the situations and the enablers of the situations that stopped people from farming. I can't almost count my Venue friends, many of whom are farmers, who have relocated to Lagos to start life all over again. Issues happen and you blame the victim instead of the oppressor. Mind yourself |
Brain pain Catapault: |
AntiChristian:We didn't find ourselves in this problem. Some of you and your leaders dragged sane Nigerians into it. Don't talk as if many others didn't know it will come to this. APC always fails. This is not their first time. |
APC the most useless party in the entire human history. Were the thieving governors not in the know when Buhari, the Clueless, collected money in advance for oil not produced yet? They all alluded to it and shared the money among themselves. They tell people to be patient until when..? Can someone ask them what was done with the money collected in advance. No accountability but their useless supporters will be here defending their own destruction. The bizarre thing is when this acclaimed contract of payment upfront expires, they will renew another one. Worst thing is that after the agreed barrels have been payed, these unfortunate APC people can even go on to say Nigeria didn't meet the required barrels of oil in the agreed time and will need to export crude oil for free for the next 5 years. We know what will happen next. The fire of destruction of the Lord will locate and consume every evil one and supporters of evil people that makes life difficult for innocent Nigerians. Let everyone say Amen. |
Nepa Don take light |
I thought some guys here used to praise bubu's government as if there's no corruption whatsoever there. The man and his cohorts with their gullible supporters came in and drew the country 80 years backwards in just 8 years. In those years when I hated PDP for their corruption, little did we know that they would be almost be seen as the righteous by the time APC takes over. It's a Shame that people are even yearning for the economy to return to the way it was 10 years ago. Anyways, I've known before 2015 that APC is an Aggregation of Political Criminals. A group of people who only wanted power just to own and loot the country dry. APC and corruption are 5&6 Very very useless set of people Nigerians need to start demanding for their rights from this useless government. Freedom and rights are earned, they are not given. Worse is it that APC do not even think people have rights and many Nigerians are also meant to believe that they have no rights. |
HighTableVoice:Keep quite there. Is it because you or any of your relatives has not been kidnapped that's why you defend the government? 15 years ago, was there kidnapping for Ransome in Nigeria? Were those in government then not human beings? You open your mouth unabated to talk of badmouthing the government. When people are dying and some losing their source of livelihood to such evil crime, you expect them to still goodmouth the useless government that gives no shit about them because they also kidnap in USA. Was Tinubu voted to fill in the gap of the president or because he was trusted to be able to solve the problems bedeviling the country? What has he done, economic wise and security wise? Didn't he campaign and won election with those two? Many of you are just hypocrites who hide under politics and politicians in power to advocate nonsense in the name of being patriotic. Patriots don't mind who is in power. They boldly speak truth to the authority even if the leader is their kinsman. Patriots are not partisan. A better homeland is their goal. Patriots are not tribalistic. They don't defend the failure of government because their brother is in power. Patriots will always stand up for their rights instead of putting up with the shits of government. They are not asslickers. Patriots always see into the future and will do all that is possible to secure it for the coming generation. May God save Nigeria o |
Nato008:Baba, you're supposed to add werey to his name. Some people actually deserved to be jailed for their comments. Victims said they paid Ransome, Fool said they didn't pay when the useless government he's supporting could not even deny that ransome was paid. |
TimeManager:What IBB did in 1985 is what your Tinubu did in 2023. The bolded is what we are experiencing today just as in 1985. Now tell me from your logic. If IBB failed, how has Tinubu done well? Can we just say that Tinubu is IBB 2.0? -Kiss the truth |
post=128190992:You have been saying this for years, even before buhari came in and Tinubu is at the helm now. After 8 years, you're still saying the same thing. What is missing? Who will address it? Why has it not been addressed in the past 8 years or 8 years is too short to address the issue? Is the APC years not the worst in Nigeria history now? If not, mention anytime in history of Nigeria that the economy and security has been this poor? I'm sorry, I need to ask you these questions in this manner because I know you are a die hard supporter of APC and you defend everything they do, even when it made many people cry. In the past 8 years, I've seen fortune of many hard working and upright who are close reduce drastically. People who are suppose to fulfil potentials are just trying to survive. Sincerely, Nigerians need to have a rethink, embrace patriotism instead of being partisan and come together to fight for our rights from the elites. It is well o |
kokoA:Fine, so why do supporters of government proclaim dangote refinery as an economic masterstroke that will ease the stress on the economy. Just like you said, dangote refinery is a private business and a profit oriented one at that, and gives no damn about who eats or not. Dangote will sell his fuel at an international standard rate to ensure continuity in business. Any sensible businessman would do the same if I were in his shoes. For me, I think the only problem is dangote given the licence to import and have access to the already scarce dollars to fund his private business. Doing that kills the economy more. Let him source for dollars like other business men. People talk about dangote exporting to other countries, they forget that it's only a fraction of it that will be returned to the economy in USD. Most of the money might be invested in other businesses abroad and there's nothing anyone can do about it. People needs to understand that Dangote refinery is not Nigeria's refinery. |
Angelfrost:The truth is that many people knew Baba will fail even before he won the election. And that is why many of them does not expect any positive thing from him. One thing people don't understand is that wishes remain wishes, whether good or bad. Efforts command result. If you like, wish that his government will be good till tomorrow, as long as nothing right is done by him, people can cry and wish and hope all they want but the situation will not change. Until partisan, tribal and religious bigotry are eschewed and sentiments are set aside, this country will not move forward. Everyone needs to come out to stand against poor governance and compel the government to do what is best for the citizens instead of sitting at a corner and wishing the president success when he is obviously on the trajectory of colossal failure. Wishes, my friend achieves nothing. Efforts commands results. |
If this people go America or Europe, they will lose their religion. That transformer is not God's responsibility to fix but the Disco's. They should pray to the Disco instead |
Dude setting the records straight. Philip: For the sake of clarification and public notice, I am an armed robber, NOT a kidnapper. Police: It's even a crime to do our job. Where is your practice licence? Crime in Nigeria is on another level. |
tyup:Nonsense! Arrant nonsense. Minimum wage less than 30 dollars a month. A level 1 officer's daily wage can just buy that banana and nothing more. If men were to survive on banana alone, then it will be safe to say many monkeys in the bush are richer than over 50% of Nigerians. No let me vex for you o. |
bionixs:My brother, I confuse |
So why did they leave? |
Yoruba and Igbo blood. |
4ward4:It has do with politics. Nigeria is not the only country in the world. There are poorer countries than Nigeria where things like this don't happen. Democracy didn't return to Nigeria in 2015. As much as we know, terrorists had been trying to take Nigeria as far back as the early 2000's but government pushed them back, Obasanjo especially. Nowadays, the government just look away as if nothing happened. Since the time of buhari, government has been unresponsive to wasting of lives of the citizens. Under his watch, Boko haram multiplied into Isis, herdsmen, bandits, kidnappers, unknown gunmen, and he himself even added ipob, all under 8 years. Tell me, how did we arrive here that people die daily from terrorist attacks and it became a norm that all we do is say a prayer for the dead and move on? It is that stranger that was killed today, do you know who it will be tomorrow? You people defend those who hurt you probably because of ethnicity or religion. Many of those in government of Buhari and even now are enablers of these crimes. Or have you forgotten the list of terrorist sponsors released by UAE, an Islamic country, to Nigerian government? Was any arrest made to this day? Did the government even mention the names of these people? Did terrorism stop? Do you think it will stop anytime soon? If Yes, what will be done to make it stop? Who will enforce it? Leave sympathy and embrace empathy. The only way to show people love and humanity is to fight for them when they are still alive, not to pity them when they die without you doing anything when they are in trouble. We need to hold the political class accountable for everything and shun prejudice. Prejudice only hurts the common man. Stop partisan ethno-religious patriotism and embrace national patriotism. Speak up against evil acts of the government and the elite no matter how related to you they are. Peace for Nigeria. Peace for homeland. |
Buhari failed, APC failed... But then, I think some politicians have turned it to business, and the business appears to be thriving. May God save Nigeria |
JagabanB:You people keep contradicting yourselves. When Tinubu traveled abroad to attract foreign investment from Arabia and Europe, were all of you not whining about how he's able to attract foreign investments and bring development to the country? Now you suddenly turn your back against foreign investment because instead of the foreign investors to come, they are leaving. I can tell 💯 that your comments are politically motivated. You shift the blame away from the failed government economic policies to companies that basically exists to render goods and services for profit making. Or don't you know that businesses exist to make profit? You talk of dangote, do you know the number of policies that were made to favour dangote group? He solely owns license to import some products. Not even any other indigenous company owns it. Dangote rolls with the policy makers in Nigeria. I know a handful of indigenous investors who packed up between 2021 till date. These people practically relocated abroad to start something else. Some of them are still owing banks loans. Where do you want them to start from. One of them that I know personally had to take loan to pay salaries for some months because he had compassion on his staffs and he hoped that thing will change soon. But alas, the story is getting worse. He said one thing that day: "We are not begging government to help us with funds or anything, just make a business conducive environment for us and see if Nigerians won't flourish". So summarily, if policies favour your business, you'll stay and make profit. If the policies will cause you to loose all your investment, you move when you still can or divest. That is how business works. Business isn't community service. |
Quintessence44:Why the insult? Some of you don't just think or you just choose not to say the truth. Leave nairaland, go and read business dailies offline or online and try to use your sense to understand how the economy is faring. Some of the companies leaving or preparing to leave are almost known to have Nigerian signature. Many of us met them in existence and grew up using their products. Many even used their products for their own children. These companies are household names in Nigeria. They were in the country through colonialism era, military era, civil war, during coups, ethnic wars, the first and second naira devaluation period and so on. Unilever Nigeria was established in 1923, that's a 100 years old company. Leventis Nigeria was established in 1937, 86 years old P&G Nigeria was established in 1992, 31 years old When such companies decide to leave, it should really worry any sane human being and patriot. Everything is not politics. This is livelihood of people with families we are talking about. Go and do your research on 100 companies with strong base in Nigeria and come and highlight 20 of them that has an increased marginal profit in 2023 than in any other year. |
Caveatemptor:This one is wirst o. Basket nah understatement. |
ReacherSaidNoth:Abeg, shey nah glazers arrange team? ABI nah dem do substitution? The point is 10hag has no pattern and lacks sufficient tactics to win games. Whenever man u win, it's due to individual brilliance or luck. And that explains why the team and the strikers especially, aren't scoring goals. 10 out |
panpan:Why does Nigerian government always go to them to borrow money? Are they themselves not useless? |
WorldRichest:Hope say Una dey see food chop. Humiliate Ko, hungerlate ni. Dey play.. |
