tellwisdom:Patches like that are common on roads in the US. That is what road maintenance is all about, unlike here in Nigeria when nobody cares till tiny holes develop into craters. Eventually, the highway will turn into a death trap. |
therealdeal10:She's a soldier..not an army |
He wasn't truthful with you and based on that you can petition for his status to be revoked and marked for deportation. It is better you initiate this action before you are accused of getting involved in scam marriage. |
Omotolu:You were lucky that the Immigration Officer had no reason to conduct a search on you. Having your educational credentials with you if seen, will definitely land you back home. It is better to scan your credentials and attach to an email. This you can access anywhere in the world, than risking immigration problems. |
modath:. This reminds of a time I was on my way from US and wanted to stop over in UK for two nights, the Immigration Officer asked for my hotel reservation. Unfortunately I didn't print it and I told him that, he responded "you have the whole time in the world to access your laptop and show me". I brought out my laptop and switched it on, to my greatest shock the laptop refused to boot. At that point he indicated that I should move to a side, as I was struggling with my laptop bag, two green passport booklets fell off me. He quickly requested for them, on flipping through he realised that there were used UK visas in the booklets and they belong to me. Then looked at the UK visa in my fresh booklet again, it was at that point that he realised that brand new UK visa in my new passport is actually 10 yrs visa. He apologised and said he didn't realise I was not a first timer to UK. He didn't even ask for hotel reservation again and simply said "enjoy your holiday". Since then I always have my last passport attached to the new. |

Seventeen:-3+3 is equal to zero and not -(3+3) This is where you got it wrong. 12 is the correct answer! |
azimibraun:Snails were destroyed in US because they were considered to be pests and not that they are not fit for human consumption. http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7427.html |
Looks more like "Business Class" cabin than "First Class". |
PastorKun:He has a good case if it is one of those churches that records tithes and kept it well. |
mikeapollo:According to you, the ground floor could have been blown off (another conjecture), then how come no bomb residue was found at the site? |
The scripture says “my people perish for lack of knowledge”. It is funny to note that a lot of Nairalanders have already taken position that the SCOAN collapsed building was done remotely. If this is true, how was it done? The only way this can happen is by “implosion”. Implosion is a process in which objects are destroyed by collapsing on themselves. The opposite of implosion is explosion. The only recorded case of implosion in Nigeria is the controlled demolition of the abandoned NIDB building, done by Gov. Fashola some few years back. The process of carrying out implosion requires several bomb-like devices be planted at strategic places all over the building and on different floors. These devices when controlled remotely would trigger off, but rather exploding it implodes. These bomb-like devices could not have been planted easily in the SCOAN building because it is a job that would have taken days to accomplished. All the floors would be drilled to connect the bomb-like devices. In respect of the demolition of NIDB building, the State Government had to contract a South African company for the job. It was perfectly done such that when the building came down; none of the buildings beside it were affected. In summary, there is no way the SCOAN building could have been ascribed to implosion, because it is not possible technically. The Police man only made presumption statements and not factual ones; I expected a professional would have been factual in his submissions rather than making conjectures. |
ferdiii:Read again: He did not mention transit visa. All Delta Airline flights transit in Atlanta, so he must have had the opportunity to walk around the transit area before boarding the Canada leg. |
Congrats! May the Almighty God bless the union and will not make you regret taking this bold and right step IJN, Amen! |
Sorry young man. I will simply blame your parent for accepting a ticket with the the wrong airport code. Airport codes are unique, no two airports in the world have same code. For example, LOS is Lagos, Nigeria and it is unique. IAD is for Dulles Airport in Virginia, USA, ATL is for Atlanta in USA. Equally, the universal rule is that when you transit, the passenger is responsible for his feeding while on transit. The airline would only be responsible for your feeding if your flight is delayed beyond two hours. You also shared in the blame, the moment you knew you'll be going to Kiev you should have looked for chat sites with students from your new university, I am sure you'll have gotten a lot of information from their. For example, my son won't travel to Kiev on Egypt air for any reason. Your best option would have been Turkish, Etihad, or Emirates in that order. Anyway, welcome to the travellers' world! |
PAGAN9JA: Nice right up.Which is foolish? That I chose to be a Christian and not be involved in traditional religion practices? A Yoruba man knows what the Obaship entails and has the liberty to decides if he wants to be part of it or not. I however found it offensive for people to want to eat their cake and still have it. If any Christian or Moslem would want to be an Oba then he should not pretend he does not belong to the traditional religion. One major function he has to perform is to give his blessing for traditional religionist (I hate the word Pagan, these people traditional religionist) to carry out their activities such as Oro festival. How does a born again Christian give his blessing for Oro masquerades to come out except he is a pretender. By the way, you need to learn more on how to discuss in the public, using such words as "foolish" in public discourses is not portraying you as a gentleman. |
puscifer: can you differentiate between emir and oba ?An Oba is a traditional ruler while an Emir is an Islamic leader. The Sultan is the paramount Emir in Nigeria and thus the foremost Islam leader in the country. That is the reason why the Muslim populace have to rely on him to announce sighting of moon either to commence or end the Ramadaan. Unlike an Oba who is regarded as next to the gods, he is part of the traditional religion set up. The traditional religion worshippers are the Ogun, Sango,Osun devouts. The truth is if you're either a Muslim or Christian then you don't have any business being an Oba in Yorubaland and in Edo and Delta States. I am sure you'll recall the recent case of the Olu of Warri. If you become converted to Christianity as an Oba then the most logical thing to do is abdicate the throne. I laugh when I see arrays of Obas at the Holy Ghost Service. It may interest you to know that I am a Yoruba Prince but has never aspire to be an Oba because I am a Christian. |
