i don't mean to disrespect you guys. But i've experience more than ten guys with acute halitosis problem. There is this guy that approached me. God! It was horrible - i don't mean to judge. Ok, here's for the girls of Nairaland. Guys pick up on little hints and even somewhat obvious hints. The problem is that guys can also be wrong.

If we take something the wrong way we take the risk of being shot down or completely embarrassed.

If you're friends with a guy and he's always nice and helpful but then takes a signal wrong (think you're interested) and makes an advance he could end up in a situation where you're saying "he just wanted to bang me, that's the only reason he was nice". Nobody wants to lose a friend like that.

If you want to be sure guys notice your signals, just be point blank. Guys get the short end of the stick, our actions towards women are judged more harshly than the reverse. We don't always like to take risks because we stand to lose the most.

I and my girlfriend have been dating since 2015, she has always been supportive in everything and every business i do, thou we dont stay in same part of the country.

I have always told her i cannot settle for less and i cannot get married to a lady who cannot manage her resources and make do with what was available as i want the best for us. In 2016 we talked about setting up something for her to do so as to keep her busy and so i had to enrol her to catering school where she learnt baking n so many more. Fast farward to 2017 january, we planned in opening a shop for her, in july 2017 she got the quotation of roughly 700k for the shop opening the shop and buying Goods for the shop, In september 2017 i sent her 500k for her to commense with the opening of the shop but to my greatest suprise she never used the money for the purpose rather she used it in settling family issues. Its been a year now and i intend quitting the relationship because its not what i planned 4. Please i need matured advice. Sorry if my points re not clear enough.

So I started dating this girl about this time last year. Things were rosy because I just came back to the country and I was having much money with me. I tried my best to give her what she wants. As times goes on, earlier on this year, we had a little misunderstanding and I initiated a breakup. Of a truth, the issue was minor and didn’t warrant a breakup. She sent my friends to beg me. We kept on going. Along the line, things became rough for me and suddenly, her respect for me started reducing. She hardly create time for us. She is currently in school in another state while I am in Lagos. At this point, we usually breakup up and come back. They were minor things though but sometimes we don’t talk for a while. The last time it happened, she said if we ever break up again, we are never coming back together. And then, When things started going wrong with me financially, she advised to leave the country that it will better me as well as her. But I declined. Gradually , our seeing time reduced. Sometimes she will be in Lagos and we will see just once or twice and she usually tell me that she is busy that’s why it’s like this.

Fast forward to last month. Her elder sister has a wedding and we needed to travel together. So we used my car. Half way into the journey my car engine knocked. The car had to be towed to Lagos while we continued our journey. She even provided part of te money we used in towing the car back to Lagos as well as paying the rest of the fare till we got to our destination. Meanwhile, She was talking to different guys on the phone though the conversations were not related to us but I felt this jealousy in me. While on the journey I asked her if there was someone else and she said no. I asked her to give me her phone and she did without arguing and even opened it. Then I returned it back to her without going through it. Then I asked her what I can do at this point. Cuz now there is no finance from anywhere coming in. As a matter of fact, I was using that particular car for Taxify and now the engine is down. She said she had told me before but I didn’t listen and that I should leave the country and things will be better for me again. I said okay am going to do it this time. So my mind was to come back to Lagos after the wedding and I sell it off. She was even crying while telling me.

On the day of the marriage I took another car from home and helped with the things I could. Taking her and her friends to and fro with respect to the wedding. The day after the wedding, she called me to come pick her from the hotel her friends that came for the wedding were lodging. I got there and we started taking things to the car I brought from the rooms her friends lodged. On our way to the car, a man stopped her and she was having a conversation with the man. And the man was laughing with her and even exchanging contact. This is a man in the 40s. At this point I was furious but I kept quiet. When she was done she came to the car and we set off for her house. She saw in me that I was angry. She then asked me what was wrong and I told her my mood has changed. She asked me to go drop her at the hotel and that when my mood is back on, I should come pick her. I then tuned back, and she came down. Cuz of the love I have for her, I didn’t want this to degenerate to something else. I came down I told her the act was wrong. She then told me if it’s wrong for her to talk to people and meet people because she is dating me. I said it’s not wrong but me being there, it’s disrespectful and besides there are ways she can tell me to excuse her in order to show that she is concerned about me. She then replied and said am speaking English. I felt so back with that statement. I just dropped her stuffs and drove back home.

When I got home, I sent her a long message on Instagram telling her that I cannot continue in this relationship. That I need my respect back and making money is the only value that will bring my respect back. She replied with just thanks. 3 days later, I couldn’t continue a life without her. I called her in the morning. At this point , she has blocked me from communicating with her on Instagram. I asked her to forgive me for what I said and that I was just frustrated with the way things ain’t going well with me, coupled with my car and finances. She told me that she cannot date me again and has moved on. I thought it was a joke. I kept on begging but she has made up her mind.

Last week, I started talking to her with a random account on Instagram and posed like someone that is interested in her and has feelings for her. I also told her that I am not in the country at the moment and will be back next month. For 5 consecutive days we were talking. She even initiated a video call and I declined. Then I asked her about her relationship and she said it’s complicated. That she hasn’t heard from the guy in 2 weeks. And explained all that happened to him. She revealed so many things to me via that conversation. Then I now called her with my number. She then knew I was the one. I started pleading with her again , telling her that I am sorry. She said she has moved on. That the only language she understands now is money which I cannot offer her. That she is tired of this love thing. That if I beg from now till forever , she is not interested. That I should go and make money. That she needs someone that can pay her bills and that the only thing she can do for me is being friends with me. Of a truth she needs money to pay her school fees plus accommodation fee in school which is upward from N300,000 and I cannot provide that now. So she said she needs someone that can be giving her money and that she has suffered enough; But dating me, she can never do that again.

I love this girl and it’s hard to let go. Maybe with time, I will. But how do I let go of what I feel for her and how can I move ahead at this point? Yes she has motivated me to go make money and be a better person. But it hurts me so bad that after making this money, some other lady will be the one spending the rest of my life with me. Yes I bleeped up by not listening to her when she first asked me to leave the country. And I bleeped up by initiating a breakup due to my frustration. But my heart lies with her and hopefully with time, I will heal and make enough money that this experience will be a thing that will make me smile when I look back and think about it.

Please anyone that has gotten over someone you have been so much emotionally attached to, I need your help towards getting over her because right now, the whole experience is killing me.

A rape victim who was battered by a rapist at Oluyole, Ibadan, Oyo State , has narrated her sad ordeal and further indicted the police.

The rape victim, Oghene Karo, whose sad experience with the rapist identified as Wale started off after they met at a mall, admitted following him home after he stated that he wasn’t after sex but just wanted them to chill together.
Wale who started making sex advances after they got home was rebuffed, and further slapped Oghene Karo when she shouted at him.

According to her, the rapist who claimed that he spent money on her, further stated that he won’t let her go even if she has been let off by other guys in the past.

Oghene Karo who eventually escaped but with bruises after a long struggle, reported the matter to the police, but got shocked after officers on duty only told Wale to give her N20k to treat herself and thereafter freed him. She further stated that she regrets reporting the incident to the police.

This is coming after it was reported that the incidence of rape has taken a serious dimension in Ibadan, Oyo State, with over 20 new cases reported monthly. A survey by NAN correspondent in Ibadan showed that the menace was fast assuming a dangerous dimension, with reported abuse of minors.

The baby reportedly left the room while playing and climbed the stires to the unsecured balcony. While at the balcony her cloth got trapped by rod and was strangled to death on the  process .

The Kaduna State Police command has arrested one David Shakari for raping his mother and former mother in-law in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State. 

The 32-year-old father of one who attended a festival sometime in August 2017 in the community and returned home drunk in the night, met his mother asleep and  forcefully had sex with her. It was gathered that he begged his mother the following day when he regained his senses, and promised not to repeat the act.

However three months after, the rape suspect who attended another festival in his ex-wife’s community in Mahuta and got drunk again,  headed for his ex-in-law’s house in the night. He reportedly fled the scene of the rape incident, after her mother in-law's cry attracted neighbours who gave him a hot chase. 

Speaking to newsmen, the suspect who was arrested for raping his mother and former mother in-law who are in their 50s and 60s respectively, admitted raping his mother but said he had not penetrated into his ex-wife’s mother’s private parts before she raised the alarm. He however blamed it all on idleness.

A very disturbing report reaching our newsroom says the former governor of Abia state and an All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Abia North, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu is in Coma in a Germany Hospital.


According to the WorldNewsCable, Kalu who was rushed to a Wisesbaden Germany hospital today where he fall into coma.

A WorldNewsCable source in the hospital told our correspondent on condition of anonymity that Kalu’s condition was critical when he arrived the hospital and deteriorated quickly despite all efforts by his doctors.


“Kalu’s condition is critical and I can confirm to you that he is currently in coma. The doctors are however still battling to bring the situation under control” our source said

Kalu was in his country home in Nigeria over the weekend and was seen in some public functions without any sign of ill health.

Our investigation reveals that his condition may have been aggravated by delays encountered in the course of flying him abroad after the emergency.

According to our source in Igbere, all his private Jets were engage and the only available one called to airlift him was grounded as the Pilot was reportedly indisposed at the time.

Kalu’s wife is the only family member with him at the hospital now.

As at the time of this report, we were unable to confirm the details of his ailment.

According to a report by New Telegraph, a yet-to-be-identified man yesterday died during an early morning road exercise in Aba, Abia State.



Witnesses said the man, aged between 30 and 35, was exercising on Ikot Ekpene Road, Ogbor Hill when he suddenly slumped and died before he could be taken to the hospital. The incident led to traffic build up as the deceased lay on the road while sympathizers raised a barrier to alert motorists to avoid crushing the body.

“The man was exercising on the road before he suddenly collapsed and foams started coming out of his mouth. Nobody knew what happened to him, but when he collapsed on the road, we knew there was a problem. Some people checked him for any means of identification. None was found,” a witness said.


When New Telegraph visited the area, the body of the man dressed in white sportswear was still lying on the road, even as a team of policemen took over the scene. Sympathisers gathered in groups to discuss the situation, but no one was able to identify the man before his body was taken away in an ambulance.


The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Geoffrey Ogbonna, could not be reached at press time. However, a senior police officer at the Ogbor Hill Division said the body had been deposited in a mortuary while efforts were being made to locate his family.

A BBC sports editor has apologized after he was caught saying the beauty queen who died in the Leicester helicopter crash was a mistress of football club owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Dan Roan’s remarks were picked up by microphones outside the King Power Stadium, where flowers and candles were laid in tribute to the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Mr Roan was overheard saying: “The mistress who died in the crash…otherwise known as a member of staff…i.e. mistress.

“If you were a billionaire, it’s relatively expected, so we shouldn’t judge.”

The recording which was later posted on social media, sparked an outrage among football fans. Some accused him of being “disrespectful” and “thoughtless”, while another said: “Don’t come anywhere near my football club again.”

Dan Roan, who has been a BBC News’ sports editor since 2014, has apologized stating that he meant “absolutely no offence” by the comments.

He wrote on Twitter: “Just want to say sorry for some comments made in a private, off-air conversation earlier with a colleague. Absolutely no offence intended.”

A BBC spokesman said: “This was an ill-judged comment made in a private off-air conversation for which Dan has apologized.”


Vinchai Srivaddhanaprabha was killed along with two staff members, the pilot and a passenger in the Leicester helicopter crash.

The aircraft fell from the sky and burst into flames outside the King Power Stadium after developing problem. The incident occurred at about 8.30pm on Saturday.


The four other victims were employees: former beauty queen, Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare; The pilot Eric Swaffer and his partner Izabela Roza Lechowicz, who was also a professional pilot.
