I don't think she should go to Nigeria, and you shouldn't fly to the US. Maybe meet somewhere else. I think you can go to certain Caribbean countries visa-free. So maybe plan a vacation meetup there. If there's chemistry and you want to continue, keep meeting there until you're actually ready to get married. But I have to warn you that Americans have a lot of problems, especially one from the south. Don't put yourself in a situation where she has too much control. If she's not actually American (foreign born parents), odds are much better for a healthy relationship. Also, if you ever have kids, the kids will be fully Americanized (i.e. anti-intellectual and lazy). 1 Like |

Bifwoli:A lot of Nigerians move back by choice. Russians, Mexicans, Pakistanis, Italians, and Chinese don't move back regardless of what they have. Furthermore, many people who consider going abroad decide to stay just because they got a certain job. So I think you should be careful with assumptions. |

Ghana, but they seem to have actual policy against Nigerians. SA has safe places for Nigerians, but it's like the Ghanaian government is targeting Nigerians, including legit business people. Ivory Coast, Senegal, Kenya, and Angola seem like good options, but more research is needed. I think it depends on what you plan to do there. 1 Like 1 Share |

If you're willing to work in remote places and harsh environments, you can probably go to Canada or the US under contract work with one of their companies. They'll typically give you food and housing, so most of your earnings sit in your bank account. 3 Likes |

This isn't news. The residential school problem in the US, Canada, and Australia is well documented. There was also a British child migrant program where white orphans were sent to former colonies and they endured conditions similar to the native residential schools. I'm not dismissing their hardship, but if they're getting reparations and the truth continues to be out there, there's little else that can be done. They should continue fighting for their nations, people, and fair share. |
