IslamRe: Does The Quran Permit Suicide? by CrazyMan(m): 9:05am On Jan 01, 2013
maclatunji: Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verses 29-30:

29) O ye who believe! eat not up your property
among yourselves in vanities: but let there be
amongst you traffic and trade by mutual good-
will: nor kill yourselves: for verily Allah hath been to you Most Merciful.

30) If any do that in rancor and injustice soon
shall We cast them into the fire: and easy it is
for Allah.
So how about the ones that kill themselves and others for virgins...shouldn't that be considered as suicide and murder?

If the koran is against suicide like the verse you posted, then shouldn't jihad advocates be seen as murderers...and shouldn't Allah also cast them into the fire?

I also need a little explanation on this cos I seem to be lost.

IslamRe: You Think Islam Is The Problem! by CrazyMan(m): 8:00am On Jan 01, 2013
Islam isn't the problem...Satan is.

His mission on Earth is to steal, kill and destroy.

So far, that's what he's been doing...so whether is islam, ethnic, racial...etc we should know that the main masterminder of all atrocities is the devil.

The man is a clown...he makes random prophecies....when anyone of them becomes a reality, people would begin to shower him with praises.

He should know that Nigerians are no longer foolish...

Christianity EtcRe: Nairaland 2013 Watch-Night Service by CrazyMan(m):
Good evening my fellow Nairalanders, as we all know, the year would be over in a couple of minutes.

So I would suggest we have a sober reflection on our lives so far.

I would like to share a brief sermon with us.

The topic: A time for Renewal

Those of you with a bible can turn with me to luke 3:10-20.

10 "What should we do then?" the crowd asked.

11 John answered, "Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same."

12 Even tax collectors came to be baptized. "Teacher," they asked, "what should we do?"

13 "Don't collect any more than you are required to," he told them.

14 Then some soldiers asked him, "And what should we do?"
He replied, "Don't extort money and don't accuse people falsely—be content with your pay."

15 The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Messiah. 16 John answered them all, "I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

17 His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." 18 And with many other words John exhorted the people and proclaimed the good news to them.

19 But when John rebuked Herod the tetrarch because of his marriage to Herodias, his brother's wife, and all the other evil things he had done, 20 Herod added this to them all: He locked John up in prison.

The first step towards recovery is to submit to God's light for clear understanding and direction.

There is no degree of decay or corruption that God will not handle.

We are for relationships and fellowships with God and man. When we are not in a relationship with God, everything goes wrong. But when your relationship with God is perfect, then every other behaviour will line up together with it.

Dealing with our shortcomings means facing them squarely - in our thoughts, social and emotional lives.

Our fellowship is with God and if we live in sin while claiming to be christians, there will be no headway to recovery.

To live in the light, we will continually see our faults as the lights revels them and then make corrections.

1 John 1:3-7. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to make our joy complete.

5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Are you doing that now?

Note verse 11-13 of luke 3

Relate appropriately with others and offer them help when necessary.

See also Galatians 6:1-2. 1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Note verse 14 of luke 3 our society (Nigeria and Nairaland) is fast becoming a jungle where everything is accepted.

People cheat one another, accept bribes, have no regard for the law, have no regard for God and their fellow man.

Greed and hatered has taken over the nation today.

People are no longer polite and respectful, but would like to intimidate the weak and harmless.

Are you one of such people?

We have barely 30 minutes to the end of the year...its not too late to give up such attitude.

our prayers would be brief

Prayer 1. Search me O lord and deal with every wicked way in my heart.

Prayer 2. Teach me o lord to serve you whole heartedly come 2013.

Prayer 3. Lord I re-dedicate my life to you...help me survive the new year.

You can now pray...

adim2: When u get to onisha, there is no need going to owerri again. Because you will get a direct bus to umuahia. When you get to onisha, u can get umuahia from peace mass which is treckable or you take bike of 100naira going to itc which is not also close to abia line. There, u will get a direct bus to umuahia. Going to owerri from onisha is wasting of time. But i will advice u check peace mass first.
Good...but you should note that he's a visitor in onitsha.

So trying to locate the ITC park which is on the other side of the bridge would be quite difficult for him.

In the evening bikes charge as high as N500 just to transport you acrosss the bridge.

So assuming his bus runs into a severe hold up at ore, and he gets to onitsha say by 8pm, do you think it would be easy for him being a visitor to locate the peace park, ITC park and others...even if he eventually locates it, how sure are you that those transport companies would still have buses going to Umuahia by that time.

His best option is to move directly from Lagos.

NYSCRe: A thread for corpers posted to Abia by CrazyMan(mod): 9:29pm On Dec 30, 2012
adim2: Look for a bus going to onitsha or owerri, i think this two destinations are easier to find. Then when you get there. Take abia line to umuahia.
Your advice is good, but going to onitsha or owerri first would be a waste of time.

From onitsha to owerri is slightly above an hour drive (minus the time spent in looking for passengers)

Then from owerri to Umuahia is also roughly 2 hours (minus loading time)

So if you calculate the time the bus leaves Abeokuta to onitsha along with the time spent on looking for passengers in the subsequent buses, and hold ups encountered along the way, you might end up reaching Umuahia by midnight.

I would suggest that he goes to lagos, and get a direct bus to abia...it would be cheaper, faster, more convenient and less stressful.

Take a bus from Lagos to Umuahia, stop at tower, and charter a keke napep (Okada has been banned there so you won't find any) to ohafia park.

From ohafia park, you would get a bus (ohafia line) to Ebem direct.

Good luck and safe journey.
