Sweetnecta: the floor is yours. please provide direct evidence that Jesus is not a muslim. provide the name of his religion. we already know that Jesus is from the children of Israel. ethnicity is different from religion. Why not start by providing concrete evidence that Jesus is a muslim first...If your evidence is sensible enough, a reply would be given. |
Omonjoe: Thanks for ur view. Why I actually ask is because a pastor told us that it is right and advisable to take water while fasting that during Jesus christ, it was only recorded that He was without food and not water. So what can u say?You should know that fasting is an exercise in willpower , in reinforcing the ability to control one's body and to demonstrate the dominion that the spirit can have over the flesh's drives, urges and desires. The willingness must be there otherwise even if you drink water it still wouldn't make any sense to you...cos you would accomplish nothing. A pastor shouldn't lecture you on how to fast...fasting is between you an God...it should be done at your convenience and in a structured manner and not according to the church's time table. Look at fasting as an opportunity for you pour out your distress to God...the moment you see fasting that way believe me, water would be the least of your worries. |
@topic..yes Logicboy, cyrexx, wiegraf, ifeness, inurmind, muskeeto and many more which because of time, I couldn't mention...are all connected to atheism. I'm sure you don't need me to prove it to you. |
The definition of fasting is to prayerfully go without food and drink for a period of 24 hours and above. So, to drink water, does not completely follow that definition. However, we should not worry about what others do and what they don't do in this situation. Health concerns are reasons to not fast. When it is medically deemed necessary to not fast, then a person should not. If you fast because you feel others are fasting, knowing fully well that you aren't medically fit for it, you're likely to fall sick in the process.... So don't fast cos other are...instead fast because deep down you feel that urge to wait on the lord. And if you do so, I can assure you that he would give you strength. |
Why not...after all christ donated his blood to us. ![]() Matthew 26:27-28. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. If christ can donate his blood freely to us for the remission of our sins, who am I to deny a fellow human my blood if he needs it to survive. |
Would you mind explaining that image you put up there please... |

Ujawissy: I ve just been given civil engineering in one of western fed uni i don't know much about dis course should i accept the course or still put in for elect/elect.engrs in d forum pls help.Engineering is engineering...be it civil, electrical...etc. You're likely to do similar courses until your third year when you'll focus on your main course. If you feel civil engineering is difficult, then electrical wouldn't be any different. My advice is that you accept the civil engineering which you were given, and be serious with it...put in all your efforts, and I can assure you that you'll have course to smile at the end of the day. Good luck. |
To summarise, tithing is not compulsory and you can give whatever you want. One issue that is never discussed is "how churches spend their income ". It would be great to have churches present public accounts of their expenditure.
This is the first time I would ever agree with you on an issue...I guess this calls for celebration. |

OC cool: tnx 4 d info but re corpers being paid regularly by d state or do they also owe? nd hw mch is being paid?Well...Anambra state pays regularly its rare before you hear cases about the state withholding corpers alawi...and they pay 4,800. |

An0nimus: God bless you plenty for thisYou're welcomed bro |
It annoys me when I see the rate at which most Nigerians are dropping their roots for western the culture....Why must we keep ridiculing ourselves...even the western world whose culture we've adopted at the expense of ours don't bear such silly names. Why would I be an Igbo or yoruba man, and name my child it is well, God is good, I will make it...when they have direct translations in my native tounge. It is well in igbo language means ogadinma (a lot of people bear it) God is good means Chidinma (another popular name) I will make it has no direct translation but you can always go for Chiagoizem which means God has blessed me. I love my culture and by God's grace, when I eventually get married, all my kids would bear traditional names. greatgod2012: As for me, i love d native names die, i cant imagine myself calling my kids all those english names,Same here. Winneygirl: So assuming d surname is Olutade, d child's full name will be...Seconded! |
Mine is success. |
An0nimus: Serious?? Someone wants me at Anambra and I dey make shakara lol. How's the place like in general?Well the camp is average at least. And the state is corper friendly. Accommodation there isn't difficult to find, and its affordable. Enugu is a very expensive city. Infact its agrguably the most expensive Igbo city...when in camp, you won't really understand until you go for your PPA. That's when reality would dawn on you. You'll see a very small room and feel it won't be more than 30k...when the landlord tells you the price, you might even collapse...you'll take 5k to the market and come back with nothing. Imo on the other hand isn't a corper friendly state. They owe youth corpers a lot. I wouldn't advise you to serve there. Anambra still remains the best...Even your ppa would be much fun cos there are lots of big towns where you can do it...towns like Awka, Onitsha, Agulu, Nnewi..etc. |
kulyie: D church date is d exact date when couples should have their anniversary, its the conventional wayTraditional marriage is the main marriage cos that's where all traditional marriage rites are observed. You go to you wife-to-be's house, present drinks to her people, take her out of her father's house into yours...etc Church wedding is more like a thanksgiving service. Therefore I feel the anniversary should be the date of the traditional marriage. |
What is our banking sector turning into? I thought they used to scan those note under a pink or purple fluorescent lamp thoroughly before accepting them. What made them stop? Or has the mass sacking in the banking sector affected the staffs on ground? Leaving very few hands for great tasks....hence making it very impossible for them to confirm the authenticity of Naira notes before accepting? |
