Furthermore....God is offering the free Gift of Life to all of us every single day. It is the great gift of Salvation and Eternal Life that is offered to us with no strings attached. God knows that through our own works we would never be able to earn the right to heaven and to atone for our sins He sacrificed His own Son Jesus Christ. Jesus shed His precious Blood for all our sins - past, present and future - and through His death He opened up a gateway for us so we would no longer be bound by the chains of death but could rather following His path to heaven. All we need to do to receive the gift of Salvation and Eternal Life is believe in Him with a true and open heart. He expects us to give up control of our own lives and leave all guidance up to Him. That sounds hard but it really is not. Once we have decided to let Jesus enter into our hearts His Holy Spirit begins the transformation process and we will be changed completely. That does not necessarily mean that life will get any easier. We will still have to deal problems and hardships but this time we will approach them with a different heart and we will have the right solutions. If we maintain a close and true relationship with Jesus Christ and if we continue to allow Him to lead us trough our lives He will open up our eyes to a truth that we never new before. A wonderful truth that will enable us to understand life's problems with a much deeper insight and will offer us solutions that we have never dreamt of before. Even if we do not understand these solutions at times, in retrospect we will see that He guided us step by step and led us to safety. If you are tired of living a life without meaning in a materialistic world that lacks compassion and love, a world that has chosen the "Almighty Dollar" as it's god and that will sacrifice anything and anybody to achieve it's ultimate goal: "financial freedom", then please consider the alternative. Jesus Christ is waiting for you every single day to open up your heart to Him and to invite Him into your life. Once you are ready to take the next step the following prayer will be your "ticket" to Eternity: The Prayer that changes Your Eternal Destiny "Father, I thank You that Jesus died for me. I confess I have broken Your laws. Forgive my sins. I receive the pardon right now. Lord Jesus, come into my life. Give me a new heart with new desires. And by Your Spirit, give me the power to live a life that is pleasing to You. Thank you for forgiving me as You promised. Thank You for the gift of eternal Life." If you prayed this prayer - prayed it with sincerity and a true heart - then you can be assured that the Lord has prepared a place for you in heaven. Congratulations and welcome to the family of God. No matter what you've done in your life, you've received a full pardon in God's eyes. That's how easy it is for you. But it was not free - it cost God the life of His beloved Son in your place. Just thank Him for such love to you. Now your Life in Christ finally begins. Go into the world and make disciples for christ...shun sin and live a blameless life. Christianity isn't as difficult as unbelievers paint it to be, infact, we christians are the most privilege because we have the holy spirit as our guide to lead and direct you every mile of the way. Good luck to each and everyone of you from the active christian posters here, to the passive readers and even to the unregistered guest viewers...let's begin this journey for our salvation, and I can assure each and every one of us that we wouldn't regret serving God. |
My love for Christ does not depend of the color of His skin.
Seconded. I don't care whether he comes as an asian, black man, albino...etc, I love him and I believe that's what matters most. |
Why haven't the polls been restored yet ![]() Anyways...I nominate cuddlemii, Jarus and sexkillz.... |

Very good development...gay marriages is bad and should be eradicated. I would suggest that we wipe off the nasty, sticky goo called Homosexuality from Nigeria as well, and fill this gaping hole of immorality with the overflowing Love of Jesus Christ instead. Nice article. |
Input: Av mentioned d G-word several times,d first to comment yet no ban?If I may ask...why on earth would you want a ban? |
Not bad... |

I still wonder why lunatics would be allowed to roam freely in Nigeria's supposed mega city (Lagos) |
rokiatu: How do you forgive someone who caused you so much pain in the past?Forgiving someone who hurts you is not always easy, believe me...most especially if its someone you love or care so much about. Forgetting that he did something to hurt you is a different ball game entirely, as its almost impossible to forget...because the memories would always be there. rokiatu: Someone who was supposed to be there for you but was not there when you needed them the most.staying angry or upset simply because someone let you down, wouldn't cause him as much pain as you cause yourself by holding onto that hurt...cheer up and avoid getting yourself all worked up over this, cos doing such would only complicate the problem you have at hand. rokiatu: This person is close to me but try as I may I am not at all comfortable around this person. Sometimes I don't even feel like speaking to this person. What could be your reason...? rokiatu: Now the person is trying to make a change but to be honest I am finding it so hard to act lovingly with the person. Please good nairalanders I need advice on how to truly forgive and forget about what this person did to me in the past. I want to let the past be history but I am finding it difficult.the best way to end this once and for all, would be to grab the bull by the horns... If he says he wants a second chance, and you feel he deserves it...then let him have it. If you feel that giving him a second chance would only make things worse, then for your own mental wellness, I would suggest that you deal with the hurt and anger he has already put you through in the past...refuse him a second chance, and try to move on with your life. Good luck. |
*kails* of course.
You are not allowed to nominate yourself... ![]() |
You made my day...thanks for this wonderful write up. Its really great... ![]() |
Just as Abraham refrained himself from disclosing to Sarah on how God told him to sacrifice their only child because he felt she would be a hindrance to him in carrying God's orders, he (your husband) also felt that sharing what he has already made up his mind to do with you might discourage him from bringing his plans to perfection. God loves a cheerful giver (2 Chorinthians 9:7) And since he wasn't motivated to give by his pastor, but gave that gift from the depth of his heart, I believe that God would definitely reward him...so take heart cos God wouldn't turn a blind eye on such generosity...he (God) would bless your husband a hundred fold. |
It means whatever you want it to mean. |
sigma seller: @ Op, u̶̲̥̅̊ want me read dis? Can smone pls read nd summarize dis story in just two sentences.Don't speak, write or sing against the Nigerian government, or else you would be severely dealt with. |
We should just be grateful to God that Nairaland is a faceless forum, otherwise most people I enjoyed reading the thread though...nice under cover work. |
I salute the writer's courage to address the glaring infringements in the NYSC scheme...Unfortunately freedom of expression has been murdered in Nigeria...we just gonna have to adopt Fela's notion... Suffering and Smiling |
Cuddlemii: I am fine and u?I feel great.. ![]() |
Cuddlemii: Hello Everyone!Hi dear....what's good. |
onila: Scientists say, When you have a difficult time falling asleep... It means someone else in the world is dreaming about you.Sounds more like some village superstition... |

Jarus: We only need the polls for voting which starts on Dec 16. We are hoping Seun would have helped us fixed the polls before then.we have contacted him.Ok that's great... |
It will be hard finding a movie I have not seen
How about taking a walk with a couple of friends...surely that should help. |
That would be very impossible in our generation...Jesus definitely deserves much credit for the humility he exhibited during his stay on earth. |
