NYSCRe: NYSC 2013 Batch B House by CrazyMan(mod): 4:36pm On May 08, 2013
My dear brother don't allow little thing disturb your precious life. You'll go for service and if your posted to a ministry or school then that's your luck. But Note that preference are usually given to most corpers in camp and not really what you graduated with or whatsoever. Nysc has no business with any school to place high their best graduates. You may be place to a better PPA if you participate in most activities there in camp eg platoon leaders,OBS officials, miss nysc base on the state and those boys like you that contest for such competition as macho what and what self... So my dear just free your mind and give it all to God. Weda you came out with 3rd class or pass, if God wants to favour you he'll surely do so without looking elsewhere(but hard work pays oo) hope you didn't come out with those??
@bolded

This is usually the believe of prospective corpers...unfortunately its not true.

Participation of such activities can win you lots of girls...true, you would be popular...true, but when it comes to getting a good ppa in the state capital, it has nothing to do with it.

If you want a good ppa or a re-deployment, start hanging out with the nysc officials you meet from day one...don't waste all your time on those activities...they're just for wining the heart of ladies...nothing more.
NYSCRe: NYSC 2013 Batch B House by CrazyMan(mod):
yhemite: Afternoon peepz..how una dey o? Pls dea is question dat has been bothering me....does any1 hw nysc place people in PPA? Is it done randomly or anyhow? Is it by cgpa or one's discipline? Cos i had 2 first class frends in my skul~ Unad, 1 who studied physics was posted to zaria and was attarched to A.B.U physics dept while d oda in akwa ibom dat finished 4rm Economics was equaly attarched to Uniuyo..likewise some odas too.. An uncle who read educational management served in tasued with 4.38 while my own sister who did economics education at oau, posted to imo state did served at imo state ministry of finance...does any1 notice a link? Cos i do..seems itz abt wat u study and wat u got as in grade.. I overheard a guy once saying dat 3rd class and pass canot escape teaching.. My batch B crew, say smthing..
Your ppa has nothing to do with your cgpa.

Once you finish all necessary clearance, your school would forward your details to the nysc headquarters. They in return would issue you a call up letter.

On receiving your call up letter, you become automatically eligible to serve...

At end of your 3weeks camping, you would be assigned to a primary place of assignment...it could be a school, a local government, a medical center...etc your cgpa isn't required as a criteria for that...

rave2u: Hello House, I just heard from two different sources that they are making all foreign graduates serve in Abuja due to security reasons. please how true is this information.
That's a bloody rumor my dear.

Are u saying that local graduates shouldn't be protected as well?

Incase you're not aware, foreign graduates are treated the same way the local graduates are treated...apart from the registration process which is done differently, your hostel accommodation, feeding and all other camping activities, would be done together with them...there is no preferential treatment for anyone in the camp.

You would confirm my statement when you get to the camp.

So discard that information.

PhonesRe: Best Blackberry Data Plan In Nigeria: Which Network? by CrazyMan(m): 11:00pm On May 07, 2013
blink182: Which Network Has The Best BBC?

Please house help me with a blackberry complete plan that has the best data bandwidth. I have been using glo until I discovered they hacked 2/3 of the bandwidth.

Please share your ideas.
I'm still finding it very difficult to understand why glo reduced their bundle from 3gig to 1024MB...they used to be my first choice..but I just can't accept their reviewed bandwidth.

Etisalat is ok...mtn can be frustrating at times and airtel doesn't cover villages.

So if I'm to recommend, I would advise you to go for etisalat.

I eat just one pack...if I'm really hungry, then I would add one super pack to it.

I don't really eat much these days.

ItsModella: what exactly?
They can be so annoying...always trying to please their pastors rather than God,

They frustrate away competent guys all in the name of my pastor didn't approve him.

They make you feel worse than the devil if you miss a sunday service, or they notice you drink.

You must play the role of a saint if at all you wish to date them.

They would always remind you of all the fasting days, night vigils...that would come up in the new month without even bothering to know if you're physically or mentally fit to partake in it.
They really are annoying if you've truly experienced them before...I can even write a book about them undecided

ThoniaSlim: What exactly do you mean by rugged life?
Over crowded rooms, poor toilet and bathroom facility, unhygenic canteen...etc.

ThoniaSlim: Also for foreign graduates, do we need to go back to Abuja to pick up our call-up letters or would they be sent to us?
You're to collect it from the Nysc secretariat in the state you're currently living in.

Eg if you're residing in Lagos, it means you would go to the secretariat in lagos to request for it.
NYSCRe: NYSC 2013 Batch B House by CrazyMan(mod): 12:32pm On May 07, 2013
ThoniaSlim: Hello Guys

I'll be serving in June. I'm heading to Abuja to register this week.

Heard horror stories about camp. . .Keeping my fingers crossed.
You have nothing to worry about...just be prepared for a ruggeded life.

CareerRe: Lagos Health Service Commission Evicts Doctors From Quarters by CrazyMan(mod): 11:36am On May 07, 2013
tunesoft: Its such a pity that lagos state has to evict doctors from their place of abode. Despite the fact that these guys work tirelessly to save lives in the state. Of recent, it just seems as if the government and even the populace don't have regards for the profession again, all beacause of the peanuts take home every month, which is nothing compareble to the selfless work input. Why pple dey beef doctors sef, it baffles me.
Where is your source to back up this story?

I believe that no coperate organization would employ you, spend millions of naira training you..only for them to pay you 15k monthly....its not possible. Unless of course you're doing a menial job.
