You would agree with me that last saturday, jambites were given us live updates with their devices from their various centers across the nation.

How would you rate a student who takes his handheld device into a examination hall and begin to post live updates on Nairaland, facebook, twitter, bbm...etc as the exam progresses.

Would you rate him/her as the serious type?

Is he/she pursuing a career in journalism hence his/her actions?

I can categorically tell you that apart from confirming their paper type with the one they have on their device, about 60% of candidates didn't bother to go through the questions. They just shaded what they had in their device.

I wouldn't hold jamb responsible for the massive failure, rather I would blame it on the unseriousness of the candidates.

You would not be allowed to stay fully in camp for the 3 weeks.

After your registration you will be decamped because the camp is not conducive enough for your condition and state of health.

You can enroll for professional courses...a self developing educational programs that would not overlap with the time you are going for your service.

You can look for a job (if you have a diploma or polytechnic certificate) .

You can go into business...selling of phones, setting up a viewing center...etc.

The minimum JAMB score for universities is 180...that of polytechnics is 170. So yes you can hope for a polytechnic.

An exam where over 90% of its candidates depend on malpractice to excel, what else would you expect when things go bad?

Go to companies and firms in line with your course (mechanical engineering) submit your cv and IT letter from your school...I'm sure they would get back to you.

On the issue of payment, its quite difficult as an IT (SIWES) student to get paid, reason is you're a trainee, therefore it would be very difficult for a company to pay you as a trainee unless of course you possess some skills which they feel would be of benefit to them.
