one thing is for sure, if the right thing is done illegally or incorrectly the outcome would only multiply our problem by a very large number. and that is what we're currently experiencing in nigeria. regardless of what the matter may be, nobody is above the law slogan must touch every single citizen, from the top to the bottom. if you sit and think about it, the percentage of the citizens that prefer nigeria to remain motionless is very little, not even more that 8%. therefore, there isn't any excuse, if nigerians want nigeria as a country out of the darkness they must find a common ground and fight this war together. and i'm not recommending anything like mend, because mend is a business. |
Muza:muza, in nigeria? i don't think so. may be the ladies, but the guys have shown us over the years that they do not have the balls to make things happened. |
so, where do we start? |
i wouldn't take the job without first presenting my conditions. believe it or not, anything is possible if people are willing to make things possible. our problem in nigeria starts with too many people having different rules for different situation. imagine a soccer team with 25 players and 25 rules, how do you expect this team to function properly? the owners and coach must work together to establish a single rule that must be obeyed by every single player. but if we continue to promote mental disablement, which also creates imaginable obstacles in our minds, i'm sorry, nigeria will remain in this darkness for 1000 years more. |
i would go after every single one of them, no discrimination. i would stick to my plans, i would be professional, i would follow the same successfully tested method and document every single step taken during my operations. i wouldn't allow my ego to over shadow my success, therefore all criminals would be treated with respect. i would obey all rules and regulations at all time. i would protect the image of my country and sincerely fight for my people. since efcc is not a business, i wouldn't sell any looted properties that belong to the fg. i would allow my actions to judge my success and make very little noise. i would promote transparency and allow every single nigerian citizen to join me while i work my ass off to pull this country out of darkness. and finally, i would setup a 3 months training program in usa for 200 efcc personnel. this program would prepare 200 efcc officers, every year, to be trained to become the best at what they do. my last name will remain the same, i wouldn't change it to mrs.efcc or mrs.nigeria, unlike you know WHO? |
beautiful words of wisdom. that was very kind of you, we need to see more of this type of positive attitude on nairaland. |
my darling iyke-d, why do you sound so hostile? you need to turn it down just a little bit, you're scaring me. and i'm so sorry for not using CAPITAL LETTERS, the program that i'm running doesn't permit caps. love always. |
darling fadaka, you're very welcome. so far, i think dapo is handling things well, we all wish him the best. |
boss, you've presented your point clear and fair. i hope dapolam has a good answer for your post. but boss may i ask you couple of questions? 1. why do you think dapolam has had his turn? and 2. why do you suspect dapolam's intentions? |
This is pathetic!!!a sample of a good nigerian. this is how to think. |
there shouldn't be a comparison between the 2, but it is fair to see both sides of the story. i honestly think ribadu is ok but what is killing him is: not being able to understand the importance of following rules and regulation during his operations. he needs to understand that if certain steps are not taken during any operation, the outcome usually comes back and bite. if it requires 10 steps to complete a process, it is a standard procedure that all 10 steps must be completely taken and documented. |
uk requested evidence to prosecute ibori from the agf and nigerian minister of justice, mr michael aondoakaa, "as per international rules, this is how it's done". since ribadu was the person that was working on this case, mr michael aondoakaa immediately sent a message to ribadu, requesting for the evidence for review and approval before sending it to uk. ribadu acknowledged the message from the agf but did not respond for many months. uk again sent another message to the agf requesting for this information for the second time. agf again immediately sent a reminder to ribadu. ribadu acknowledged the message for the second time, but still did not release the information to the agf. few months later ribadu sent a message to the agf informing him that he (ribadu) had sent the information directly to uk. agf was very upset and notified the president and others. friends and associates of ribadu also made it clear to ribadu that he shouldn't have disrespected not only the agf and the president, but the sovereignty of nigeria. ribadu did not care and felt firm about his decision to send the information directly to uk. |
before we pick sides, i will look for my findings between ribadu and agf and post it again. |
my dear eleven, we need to grow up. i do not think there is any need for this type of advertisement. it is obvious that ribadu has crossed the line, and the best we could do is: find a way for this man to over-come this mess. if you have problem with his replacement, go ahead and let the issues be known. and i promise you that we will finish her together. nigeria would only come out of darkness if the citizens are bold enough and willing to identify what is wrong with the system, no matter what the matter may be. shielding some people because we love them or they've done so much for the country is the main reason why efcc has fallen apart. if we encourage people to disobey the rules and regulation, what kind of country or future are we trying to build? |
Nairalanders:- A thought cross my mind that what will happen IF Yar'Adua Recalls Ribadu to head EFCC?this is a sweet dream that could never become a reality. my dear, look, this administration doesn't think ribadu can not do the job, the only issue here is that there were too many complicating issues during the last administration. therefore, for efcc to function smoothly, i do not think this administration has enough confidence in ribadu to continue with the process. in real life or well developed country, this is a great move by the current administration. the big question is: have they picked the right replacement? if the answer is no. then the right thing a responsible administration would do is look for other qualified candidates to replace the new replacement. but going back to ribadu at this stage would be a stupid move that isn't good for the country or ribadu himself. we've got to move forward, nigeria has other great citizens that could fill the position and do a great job. |
@DAPOLAM, surely you are doing pretty good with your campaign so far,my dear fadaka, the last time i checked, sewn is still the owner of this forum. therefore, till you or your family takes over this forum, you have no rights at all to inform me on what to say or how to say it or who to say it to. it is sad that minds of most nigerians are so corrupt to the point that, if one is taking a stand for what he or she believes in, it automatically means this individual must be looking to benefit from it. well, fadaka, not everybody crawls on the floor in my neighborhood. |
my darling kobo, thank you so much for sharing. politics is not a science, in politics you hold on to what works. and what works last year doesn't necessarily mean would work this year. my dear kobo, you can not teach me how to swim, i live in the sea. don't judge book by the colour of the cover. love always. |
my dear must_a_far, You have to do a lot to convince people that you are not going to be like your father - the worst oyo state Governor of all time.this is not a clever and respectful way to ask anybody a question. i prefer this better: during your father's tenure as the governor of oyo states, it is my understanding that he did not accomplish much, what are your plans to convince the people of oyo state that they wouldn't regret selecting you as their representative in 2011? that's a sample of asking touch question positively. |
If you believe you are human, then I urge you apply the same standards when judging the questions here. We are speaking of NIGERIAN POLITICS HERE. We are speaking of a group of people who have ignored the welfare of their own fellow me for one corrupt and inhuman reason or another.how many nigerian politicians hold an open forum discussion over the internet? for dapolam to boldly come out day after day to address questions to the best of his ability should be labelled as being courageous and serious about contributing positively toward the rebuilding of this country. there is nothing bad in asking him questions as long as we are very careful and treat him the same way we want our own brothers or ourselves to be treated. please do not misunderstand my point, dapo doesn't have to come here at all. if we want more politicians to engage in this type of discussion, then we must show them encouragement by asking tough questions positively. could you do that? |
my sector is pulling nigeria out of darkness and rebuilding the future of our country. i hope i've answered your question. please note that this topic is put together for dapolam, therefore our concentration should not be shifted. |
@DapoLamquestion like this is unnecessary. politicians are human being, we must show some respect by carefully constructing our questions. |
Naijex: may i ask why so much interest? |
yemmysee: that sounds very good. |
Creativityif this is how you honestly feel, then you must be a comedian. very funny. |
my dear pataki, you shouldn't misunderstand my point. it is ok to ask question, but it isn't ok to abuse anybody in the name of asking questions. what happened to motivating one another? what happened to trusting one another? and what happened to showing love and respect for one another? we could sit here till 2020 busy throwing all kinds of questions at this man, if he's going to deceive us, i think it will happen. we need not to pay negative attention to each others' objective, i'll love to see more encouragement coming from all of us. this is the only way to a brighter future for the country that we all love. |
just in case you did not know, there are tons of sweet answers to any questions, and an excellent politician is well equipped to handle himself or herself well when any question is being asked. therefore, i will rather judge a politician by his or her actions and not by asking silly questions. |
sample case study que: how did you make your wealth? ans: my uncle or my aunt loaned me ₦5m in 1999, which i've paid back in full, to start my business. God has been good to me, business is doing very fine. i'm growing, my employees are also growing with me. you are covered as long as your uncle or aunt is wealthy and you can show evidence that the ₦5m loan was paid back with interest. i honestly don't think you can judge a nigerian politician or any politician by asking questions on a forum. |
just because we want change doesn't give us permission to unnecessarily abuse each other |
dapolam, not everybody would like you as dapo or as a politician or as ex governor's son. i think you should take it easy on yourself at this time. 95% of these people throwing questions at you do not have plans to participate in any election in nigeria or to return back home to live. so, why waste your time entertaining them? continue to work on your plans, get involved at all levels and believe in your product. nobody has the power to stop you, if it's going to be, it would be. you have my support and i admire your courage for being involved in pulling this country out of darkness, unlike some people that live in other countries, that have nothing to bring to the table but questions to bring a brother down. no need to take rubbish from anybody, please feel free to set people straight whenever they cross the line and forget being mr nice or pastor adeboye. that is the only language most nigerians understand. no disrespect to anybody. |
i knew ribadu wasn't going anywhere. he can not afford to relocate. do you have an idea of what comes with relocating to another country after you're being wanted by your country? it isn't that simple and ribadu doesn't have the required capacity as yet to pull it through. don't forget that ribadu was just a chairman for an institution that shielded many known thieves. if you did not know this fact, other countries clearly know it. ribadu may be special on your minds, but ribadu is just another nigerian citizen who will line up at foreign airports just like you and myself. |
it is known everywhere in abuja that ribadu did not handle not only the recovered funds, but also major recovered properties, well. in order to enhance ribadu's strategic qualities, i would like to see him return back to school for the following advanced classes: management skill, management conflict, civil rights and liberties, legislative behavior, public policy, business, politics and power, political organization (bureaucracy), comparative politics, modern political philosophy, and symposium in political science. i'm very familiar with these courses and i'm sure that upon successful completion of all these classes, ribadu will become a better professional individual. nigeria is a country that has rules and regulations, ribadu can not just continue to operate like a villager. |
i've told you people many times that ribadu is an original bushman. the man operates like an illiterate. he is starting to bring embarrassment to our country. i've recommended to him to take few more classes to polish up his mental state of mind. his supporters also represent what is wrong with nigeria and they should be ashame of themselves. if we condone stupidity, the future of our nation becomes water in basket. we can not have one set of rules for people like ribadu and have another for you and i. it doesn't work well this way. defend your work and defend yourself like a great nigerian. is that too much to ask? |
