for those people who are still having trouble seeing what was wrong with ribadu's stunt, you might remain blind for a very long time. but for ribadu to finally showed up yesterday and willing to deal with whatever they place in-front of him shows that he has realized his mistake. i do not know how long it would take you guys to understand that obeying the rules and regulations by every single nigerian citizen "old, young, poor, rich, hausa, ibo, igbo, yoruba, fulani etc" is the only way out of the darkness. |
just in case you did not know: between sep 2008 and dec 2008, efcc has invited mr ribadu for at least 8 times, for questioning and clarification of some open issues, but the man clearly disregarded every single invitation. to be fair and civilized, do not let us go into those open issues, that is for another time. now question for you: what happened to those people that disregarded invitation from efcc when ribadu was the chairman? |
tipaya and robert2, so because of all you've listed it is now ok for ribadu to intentionally disregard the rules and regulation? i just pray that we do not have too many nigerian citizens that think like you people. it is ok for one to do the right thing, but this right thing must be done the right way. this is the only way nigeria will come out of darkness. it doesn't matter who you are or what you do or what you're about to do, the rules and regulations must be obeyed. what do you think would happen to this nation if other 10m "great" nigerians choose to disregard the rules just because they've done so much for the country and someone is trying to humiliate them. what exactly do you think would happen? this is a country, you can not have it your way. just because nigeria is messy doesn't mean we should allow deregulation. everybody must be treated equally, nobody is above the law. |
any attorney would tell you that this video alone could be used to prosecute ribadu. |
@poster, many other nigerians including myself have also done many video interviews in the past regarding developing and moving nigeria out of darkness. the difference here is: some people believe in "do as i say and not as i do", while others prefer "do as i do". which side do you belong to? |
very interesting indeed. i hear accountability, nobody is above the law, obeying the rule of law, respect for our country/ people and going after the people at the top. should i start asking questions or we all already know the questions? |
Cre8tivity, what's this obsession that you have with dog meat? Are you Calabar? See, I couldn't even think about Dog as meat. At a particular time, I had a Pit Bull and 5 Cats. I considered them like my kids and they all got along very well with each other.thanks for sharing, i'm just glad that am not your dog. |
even for the fact that ribadu, himself has finally shown up and ready to face whatever his accusers are cooking, means he has realized his mistake and ready to do the right thing. you can not expect sensible citizens of nigeria to defend or support another citizen that intentionally disregards the rules and regulations. again larex, the difference between us is: your favorite food is cheap dog meat. |
lol my dear, it is sad that you feel this way and i'm very sorry. you're beating me down all because i support obeying the rules and regulations of our nation. it's very sad and unbelievable, may god bless nigeria. |
my dear, you're wrong and may be you should check again. my only problem with ribadu is not obeying the rules and regulations and feeling that he's too big and above the law. selectivity, or corruption or any other allegation is left open, ribadu remains innocent till he has his day in the court of law. the difference btw you and i is: i do not eat dog meat just because it's cheaply and abundantly available. |
we'll be fine if we all obey the rules and regulations. |
you have presented your view and it is well respected. what about that? does it sound better? |
your point is seen and well understood, but i think we should give this new development a chance and see what comes out of it. at least, the corrupt governors are no longer comfortable. let's see what happens next. |
I have come to confront my accusers,” he said. On whether it was safe for him to do so, ribadu said Allah would protect him.all of a sudden, ribadu is no longer scared for his life anymore, because allah would protect him. he sounds to me like he just discovered allah last night. |
Iyke-D, if that is what you think, i respect your view. again, the great citizens of nigeria should be asking themselves why it took this long for ribadu to show up or why again ribadu had to reverse his decision just like many he has made in the past. |
@cre8tivity why are you speaking as a primary school kid?do you have a mirror? if you do, please use it more. I repeat, to relocate to other country after being wanted by your country is feasible, but not that easy. |
the simple question great nigerian citizens should be asking is: why did he take this long to show up? |
this is great for nigeria. |
obey the rules and regulations. it is that simple. |
i knew he did not leave nigeria. he can not afford to relocate. do you have an idea of what comes with relocating to another country after you're being wanted by your country? it isn't that simple and ribadu doesn't have the required capacity as yet to pull it through. don't forget that ribadu was just a chairman for an institution that shielded many known thieves. if you did not know this fact, other countries clearly know it. ribadu may be special on your minds, but ribadu is just another nigerian citizen who will line up at foreign airports just like you and myself. |
you people are the perfect case study why it would take nigeria a very long time to move ahead. we clearly know what is wrong, but because of 2 or 3 stupid reasons, we refuse to identify the failure. how in this world do you expect nigeria to go anywhere with this kind of terrible thinking? |
for those of you who continue to pick side, this latest move by ribadu is another indication that confirms that most of you people do not have the knowledge or the wisdom or the ripeness to identify what is good from what is bad, it's all about following each other, even if the dead-end street ahead is visible. you should be ashame of yourselves. |
again, i'm very proud of ribadu for taking this step. it is good for him and for nigeria. |
@ cre8tivityif everyone in the country thinks like you, then the entire country will turn into an uncontrolled zoo. do you have an idea of what happens when a zoo is not properly controlled? the only way out of the darkness is laying good examples. regardless of the matter, the rules and regulations must be obeyed, or else we will all forever live in hell. |
if this information is correct, i say congratulation to nigeria. finally, ribadu has gotten the message and decided to do the right thing. this is all we've been asking this man. now, he must wait just like the rest till the head of efcc is ready to meet with him. again, this is a country of over 140m citizens, it isn't burger king. therefore, ribadu would not be allowed to have it his way. let's see what happens from here, but so far i'm very happy to see the acknowledgement of the rules and regulations. certainly, nobody is above the law. long life DEMOCRACY. |
people find it impossible to exercise self respect and concentrate more on the topic, as it's starting to look like this battle is between cre8tivity vs ribadu, and it is very sad. i will move forward and allow only ribadu's supporters to come here to exhale and exchange ideas. i am done here. i had a very nice experience here with everyone. let us just pray and hope for the right leaders to rise up and direct this country towards greatness. thanks to everybody. |
if ibori is guilty of anything, i hope he stays in jail for 70 years. i'm not here to support any ex or current governor, i'm only here to promote democracy for all and respect for the rule of law. nobody is above the law and certainly, nobody is bigger than nigeria. please do not waste your time on coaching me on who is corrupt and who is not. i have enough info on that subject already. |
Most of your comment i've read on NL seems to be dedicated to put Ribadu under the bus. I do believe you are working for some corrupt element in the Nigeria govt that Ribadu has probably step on there toes. Any Nigeria in there right senses know what truly Ribadu stands for. I am sure you will support Babangida 's atrocities.my dear, i'm not working for anybody, i'm only promoting democracy of high standard, which i still think is the only way out of the darkness. fair justice for all regardless of who you are, what you do, what you've done and what you're trying to do. the rules and regulations of the land must be acknowledged. ribadu has not been arrested, not that he hasn't asked for it, but for the respect for all he has done, he has been entertained to the fullest and for too long. |
@ ejie: thanks for the info |
didnt know Ribadu was such a coward,u need to see the mouth he was making when his God was in power, now he is shitting all over himself,i thought Fulani men were supposed to be fearless and courageous warriors.ribadu did not only shit on himself, but also on all his supporters, who are now very much confused, they do not know where to go or how to defend their role model. in 2006, ribadu said: i will fight corruption with my last drop of blood. he did not say: i will cover my ass and run away before it's too late. |
just in-case you did not know, fg is being very careful, and professional, this is why they haven't exposed the real ribadu. but with time, it would all come out in the open. come to think about it, do you people honestly think that anyone on this earth could closely work with obasonjo without getting any illegal kickback? it is known in abuja that everyone around obansonjo got something illegal, they even have pictures and recorded discussions that would unravel this mess. just advise your man to come out and come clean. |
1. Nuhu Ribadu only left a three-page handover note with Mr. Lamorde, his immediate successor (in acting capacity) at the EFCC. The EFCC has stated that some case files involving investigations of former governors suspected of involvement in corrupt practices did develop wings and mysteriously disappeared under Ribadu’s watch.ehie: my sister, why are you wasting your time. these people know exactly what's going on, but they refuse to accept the facts. |
