naijapips02:
anyone telling you that Muslims are not terrorist is a bloody liar.

Wanna conduct a simple test? Go to a Muslim neighborhood and do either of these things:

Abuse Mohammed

Tear a Korean.

I bet you, even the meekest of the Muslims would be the one to Yank your heart out.

All Muslims are potential terrorists. Quote me anywhere.
Do that and i will be the first one to slaughter you. I ain't even kidding. But why will you wanna commit an act of instigation and expect not to be attacked? I have never seen a group so afraid of muslims like the christians. They will come to the internet and spew vermin like they are ready for the third world war, but light up a firecracker near them and see how they scramble like coacroches. If you think all muslims are terrorists, what then does it change on the muslims. If on the other hand you have so much hatred for muslims(because of you of a wierd abnomality that you have), then i suggest you go to any muslim community near you and try what you listed above. If however you are genuinly concerned with differentiating muslims and criminal elements, then i would say i understand your concern as it is not easy, because as i type this, i can't see a kanuri man and not be afraid. The first thing to come to my mind is that he might be hiding some explosives somewhere, but still that doesn't mean all kanuris are terrorists. So you too have a right to be concerned, but this is not the way to show your concern. If that is the case, all Niger deltans are potential militants too, all igbos are potential seccesionists too, all christians are potential sodomists and terrorists too (remember LRA, IRA, David Koresh, KKK) because all of them were christians who knew the bible back and front and felt the bible gave them the right to kill, maim, descriminate, take slaves, sodomize young boys e.t.c So you see, there is better way of showing concern when a whole group of people are concerned. I don't feel i have to apologize to anybody because i am a muslim, and i don't regret being a muslim. But atleast to nullify the concerns of brothers of different faiths, i think more muslims should stand firm in condemning terrorism, protest against it, lunch t.v programms sorely preaching against terrorism and e.t.c That i believe will help rather than abuse and counter abuse, instigations and counter instigations.
TravelRe: Visa Policy Of Advanced Countries A Means Of Control For Segregation by cronsberg: 8:37am On Nov 21, 2015
^^ Your argument doesn't make sense. What then are asians, south americans and australians doing at the calgary stampede? Because all of them go there too. For your info, different people have different hobbies and likes, yours might be football, others might be wrestling, I myself like rodeo, and I also have cattle of my own. So why wouldn't i wish to visit the calgary stampede? what is wierd in an african liking rodeo? Using your arguments, then the many africans that go to europe to watch football games should not be allowed too because what is an african doing in a european invented football game? The rodeo that you think is an exclusive white people sport was actually gotten from spanish horse riding and cattle herding traditions, which they themselves got from north africa and elsewhere (most probably fulani). So I myself being a fulani man with cattle of his own has as much right to anything about cattle as the white people. In addition, you might not know this but the fulani were the original cowboys, so it is only natural for me to have an interest in cowboy sports. And you don't even know whether i intended to introduce something similar to rodeo here in my locality and in essence create a whole new industry for my fulani folks.
And about your argument that opening their border will stretch their institutions and infrastructure, i also disagree with that. Opening of borders have happened before. With millions of diffrent people trooping into especially the U.S and other countries, if anything, it has proven to increase the countries' GDP and overall productivity. Many countries despirately need new people to fill shortages in the labour market, but a few probably racist, hypocritical people will continue to impose strict restrictions even to the detriment of their countries economies. Like it nor not, immigration is a needed thing and actually has many advantages like reduction of world wide poverty, Increase of global GDP, it will increase globalization and the one world mantra so encouraged by the west.
According to the American reformer, social activist, abolitionist and statesman Frederick Douglass "Migration is, and has always been a foundamental human right". and when confronted with the migration of millions of chinese and others to america, much like the western leaders of today are screaming about the dangers of allowing people to enter their countries, Frederick Douglass has this to say;
There are such things in the world as human rights. They rest upon no conventional foundation, but are external, universal, and indestructible. Among these, is the right of locomotion; the right of migration; the right which belongs to no particular race, but belongs alike to all and to all alike. It is the right you assert by staying here, and your fathers asserted by coming here. It is this great right that I assert for the Chinese and Japanese, and for all other varieties of men equally with yourselves, now and forever. I know of no rights of race superior to the rights of humanity, and when there is a supposed conflict between human and national rights, it is safe to go to the side of humanity. I have great respect for the blue eyed and light haired races of America. They are a mighty people. In any struggle for the good things of this world they need have no fear. They have no need to doubt that they will get their full share.

But I reject the arrogant and scornful theory by which they would limit migratory rights, or any other essential human rights to themselves, and which would make them the owners of this great continent to the exclusion of all other races of men.

I want a home here not only for the negro, the mulatto and the Latin races; but I want the Asiatic to find a home here in the United States, and feel at home here, both for his sake and for ours. Right wrongs no man. If respect is had to majorities, the fact that only one fifth of the population of the globe is white, the other four fifths are colored, ought to have some weight and influence in disposing of this and similar questions. It would be a sad reflection upon the laws of nature and upon the idea of justice, to say nothing of a common Creator, if four fifths of mankind were deprived of the rights of migration to make room for the one fifth. If the white race may exclude all other races from this continent, it may rightfully do the same in respect to all other lands, islands, capes and continents, and thus have all the world to itself.
People should think out of the box and reason why the world powers created borders in the first place. Borders are unnatural and is a form of global apertheid. Just check this link below to enlighten yourself and free yourself from the mainstream institutionalization.

TravelRe: Visa Policy Of Advanced Countries A Means Of Control For Segregation by cronsberg: 12:27pm On Nov 20, 2015
Alright Justwise, no more foul words. But i still stand with my saying that there is no need for borders. The countries that feel threatened by criminal elements should just increase internal policing and internal protective measures. What do you say of people who are qualified in every sense to migrate or visit western countries but are systematically refused visas while the embassies still hold on to the visa application fees, which by the way are nothing but rip off. I can give an example with myself, few months ago, i applied for a canadian visa to visit the calgary stampede, submitted bank statements with acceptable amount in account, paid a 30,000 naira application fee, done everything the proper way,, but still denied, with the excuse that i don't have any property in nigeria. Applied again with my business documents to prove that indeed i have some assets in nigeria, denied again because i don't have family(not married). That is after wasting money to go to the VFS center in lagos to give finger prints, hotel spendings, transport e.t.c furthermore, hotel bookings in canada, tour bookings, westjet airline bookings and many more, which uptill now westjet, KLM and some hotels charged my mastercard to deduct the money but refused to refund me after my visa is denied. As i speak, more than 1000 dollars of my hard earned money is lingering with various hotels and airlines(westjet, KLM) and they basically make it impossible to get a refund. So because i ain't got no assets or wife, then i cannot travel? what of the westerners i see everyday who are unemployed, single, even living in homeless shelters but travel to other countries freely? I am very sure of what am saying because i watch alot of documentaries, reality t.v shows, border control shows e.t.c Does it seem fair? Why is it almost impossible to go to there countries? For the singular reason that i was cheated mercilessly by those countries and their companies, i recently made it my unwavering personal goal to enter their impossible to enter countries by any means possible. Please don't blame me or remove my comment, i am simply stating my mind and not encouraging anyone else to do the same. It is just my own personal thing. Its not that i am not comfortable in Nigeria, i come from a well to do family with everything i could ask for, but i am fed up with the extreme restrictions by those countries in regards to especially africans.
I still repeat, Bullocks with borders, bullocks with nations, No human being is illegal. Please justwise don't remove my comment, i didn't insult anybody or encourage illegality or violence. Just my thoughts from a humanist, non aligned, free point of view.

Yeah, the point of the thread is that europeans should not be complaining of africans coming to europe by sea "illegally" because they did the same. But mehn after watching a video of how africans who just landed in spain and italy by sea were rioting in the streest and destroying property, and how "muslims" are protesting in the u.k waving alqaeda flags and shouting to hell with the u.k, and also the recent paris bombing that might be from the waves of syrian refugees, i now see why european leaders are really concerned by the migrant waves and the restrictive polices they enacted to stop the migrants coming.

pansophist:
Your post is one-sided, and fail to touched the realities of our new world. Imagine this.

The polulation of India alone is 1.2 billion. Lets ay about 10% of Indian population migrate to the EU, do you think the EU government has the resources to cater for this people? EU population is about 500 Million, adding 120 million people (more than the population of the Nordic, Benelux, UK combined) is catastrophic, and will suddenly lead to all kind of social crises.

I am sure you wont want some group of people exercising their ''natural right of migration'' squating with you in your cozy room, or balcony grin
The population of Australia was also few, but still english people migrated in their hundreds of thousands to disrupt and change the aboriginal people territory for ever. Did it end the world?
So also was the population of north america, that didn't stop millions of white people from europe running to that place to live. did it end the world? They simply build more towns and cities and continued living. Are you now telling me that europe can't now take in even a billion people? To hell with the culture and way of life they are trying to protect by stopping immigrants. We all know that its impossible for the european way of life (democracy, values e.t.c) to be eradicated or stopped because of immigrants. By the way, how can democratic elections, human rights, freedom of believe, e.t.c be threatened because of immigrants. I want you to explain that to me. Did the u.s stop having freedoms and values even though millions of chinese, mexicans, europeans, africans, muslims migrated there? Europeans are simply racists thats why they want to stop people immigrating to their countries, but its certainly not because they are afraid of immigration changing their values and norms.
I don't think illegal immigrants have to act or look pitiful or think they are breaking any useless racist laws when migrating to those countries at all. They have the right and should insist on beeing allowed to live in those countries. Once upon a time, europeans did exactly the same. When i saw syrian refugees protesting in hungary few months ago, i blamed them thinking why would they be so ungrateful as to protest even when europeans allowed them to enter in the first place. But now, i see the full picture. Those syrians were in their rights to protest and insist to be allowed to stay. Because think about it, why was it that when the same europeans were migrating in their millions, no one stopped or deported them, no one locked them up or raised concerns and held meetings and whatnot. But now, because the migrants are blacks and arabs and muslims, the whole world is made to believe the world will end because of the immigrants.
Or don't you really feel pained when a european can easily just board a plane in todays world and go anywhere they want without necessarily applying for visas or work permits and all those other restrictive policies? But an african will have to first apply for the visa, then pay a rip off sum, then prove to be rich by showing account statements worth atleast some millions, then further convince some official that they are not criminals or fraudulent, then prove you are married or got properties or busineses, then wait for ever in anxiety, only to often recieve a rejection letter. But a white person, employed or not, homeless or not, drug addict or not, married or not, got property or not can just hop on a plane and fly to his choice destination. Is this fair to you?
I however do understand the need to manage migration, but the way europe is doing it by trying to completly stop it is counter productive and actually going against nature itself. And saying that migrants can only come the legal way is nonsense also, because very few can qualify to migrate legally in that sense seeing that you would need to be extremely skilled in a field of importance, have thousands of dollars in account and many more, and yet still wait for a year or two to know whether you are approved or not. What chance does that live the unemployed, poor but often educated african with big dreams just like the original european "migrants" of before?
TravelThe White Man Came To Africa By Sea With No Visa by cronsberg(op): 3:16pm On Nov 12, 2015
The white man came to africa by sea with no visa .... Those are the words of a cameroonian in Agadez in Niger republic on his way to europe by attempting the perilous journey by land and sea. The words of the cameroonian made me to reflect on the history of human migration from the pre-colonial era to the recent waves of migration.
Indeed, it seems like a double standard of sorts when migration by certain groups are talked about today. However, if history can teach us anything, it is that humans will always move regardless of the barriers put in place to stop them. Let me start with the original migrants/ the colonial masters. They embarked on global voyages of migration hundreds of years ago to "discover" new lands. Those pioneer migrants didn't know what to expect when embarking on those journeys, neither did they seek the permission of the inhabitants of the territories they were "exploring" to travel there, and they certainly didn't apply for any visa to travel those places. Those pioneer migrants simply boarded ships and set sail to anywhere they wanted.
Furthermore, in their vayages, those pioneers came to discover new lands and subsequently migrated albeit illegally in their hundreds of thousands and millions to those new lands. However, the so-called new land weren't really new lands, from the new world(North america), to south america, from africa, to asia to the australian continent, they were all inhabited by natives and other indegenous peoples. In blatant violation of those terretories' soveringty, the white man arrived, disturbed the culture of natives, and created homes for themselves without permission, without visas.
Looking further into recent history before, during, and after the second world war, further millions of white europeans were on the move. They migrated to north america to escape persecution, war, poverty e.t.c majority of them being economic migrants rather than refugees. North america, especially the united states accepted them with open arms. No one advocated for their deportation or imprisonment in camps or shelters, rather they were immidiately let into various cities and towns to live like citezens. Indeed you can say, the U.S is a nation of immigrants.
I therefore find it hypocritical the debate on illegal migration today by especially europeans, who appear to forget that they themselves were very recently immigrants to other countries. A good example of the hypocrisy is the stance by the Hungarian prime minister Vicktor Orban that immigrants expecially muslim immigrants are not welcome in his country. Forgetting that he himself was a refugee during the soviet era and was hiding in another country in fear. I would say its the white man that taught everyone else how to migrate when the need arises.
So in my opinion, africans and indeed everyone else have the right to migrate legally or illegally to europe or anywhere if they deem fit. Furthermore, migration is a human right enshrined by the united nations. So with visa ristrictions / difficulties, and closed border policies enacted by most western countries, little choice is left for migrants than to migrate illegally. And they certainly have the right to.
BusinessRe: United States, EU Report Nigeria To World Trade Organization. by cronsberg: 2:23pm On Nov 12, 2015
The do you know what i just realized? Africa as a whole can single handedly cripple the west without any war or sanctions, and i promise you, the downfall of the west will mean the uplift of Africa. Here is how africa can do it.
1. Hold secret meetings between all nationalistic african leaders on how to gradually completely stop exporting raw materials to the west by implimenting protectionist policies. So that if western companies aren't willing to set up real manufacturing plants here in africa, then no more raw materials, instead invest in our own know how to utilise those raw materials.
2. Africa should aslo impose strict monetery controls such that borowwing dollars to import agric products cannot be allowed anymore. Instead, companies should farm and add value to the products here in africa and pay taxes. By now, western companies will start to feel the pinch, and start complaining because there revenues will surely be depreciating.
3. Deliberatly assist willing migrants to flow into western countries massively, thereby over stretching theri finances and societies, simultaneaously offering massive pays to real skilled africans to remain in africa and even attracting the west's best minds.
4. Since they can't do without african oil, silicon, bitumen, gold, Gas, e.t.c Huge taxes should be impossed on those items

I promise with these policies, the western economy will definitely come close to hitting rock bottom. And the will be the opportunity for africa to truly rise and shine. Africa should try doing that not because of anything but the pleasure of seeing the we are important too and can actually use our power too and if anything, to play with their economies like they did with ours for centuries.

Thats why i like official things, doing things officially the good old fashioned ways. If you have a website, then you should also have an office somewhere that is well known. If i want a visa, i instinctively know that only embassies are authorised to issue visas therefore i go straight to an embassy. If you claim to be an investment expert that can double my money quickly, then how come no one else know you, or how come you don't have and office in a well known address with a functioning website and an active landline business phone.
People should learn to do things the official way. Learn to transact and interact with real agencies, real businesses, real authorities and for you to know those you are transacting with are real, then they should have real things on ground like and office, office phone lines(preferably landlines), website, people e.t.c not some virtual ghosts who only exist on phone or on email. Thats why as soon as the electricity privatization exercise was finished by GEJ, i googled some of the beneficiary companies and was shocked to find most don't have a website, and some have websites that are clearly quickly made few days to the privatization, those websites are unnavigable, have no information at all. And you wonder if those companies are really power utility companies in the first place. smh

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Sometimes I Want To Regret Going To School by cronsberg: 8:04pm On Sep 09, 2015
You can't imaging the level of lamenting i had today when i went to a computer accesorries shop to buy a laptop charger. You see, i studied engineering at a foreign university, did my NYSC, and now years later, i still am jobless. But right before my eyes, this seemingly uneducated igbo youth who runs his own computer accesories shop counted 150,000 naira and gave his boy to take to the bank for him, while chatting with him about chocking taxes, he told me about 700,000 naira of his money are with people that he will start collecting this week because salaries are paid today, further telling me that the contents of the small glass box infront of me containing new laptops, chargers, routers, switches e.t.c are all worth hundreds of thousands, not to talk of the rest of his shop. Without a doubt the guy is worth millions, but me that spent millions to study a good course in a foreign university is still jobless and can't bust of 50,000 in my account.
So at the end, what has my foreign education gotten me? a big nothing. Even a common 3000 naira pair of jeans i consider to be expensive, but this hard working but uneducated igbo youth can afford basically anything he wants, he can even afford himself a nice ride, and i bet even afford to take vacations abroad. I should have taking the option of business when my dad asked me to choose between owning and running a business center that he had at the time with 20 computers, two brand new giant photo copier machines and scanners, or continuing in school. He gave me the options because i hated school back then. I could have easily developed that business center into a well functioning cyber cafe cum business center cum computer accesories shop.
RomanceRe: Why In Nigeria Ex-boyfriends Go To Their Exes Wedding? by cronsberg: 11:47pm On Aug 09, 2015
My wife to be dare not invite any f*&king ex our wedding. Because as soon as i notice any ex, am collecting a microphone and publicly ending the wedding right there. What nonsense. Her inviting her ex means she still has contact with them, which also implies she has some feelings for them even remotely, which further implies she might be imaging something ....... i got zero tolerance for that shiiiiit mehn. You want me to marry you, then all i ask is no contact with any ex under any circumstance, not even males not related to you by blood. Call me all fashioned, or insecure, or jealous or whatever but i can't fall victim to women's deceptive ways.

FamilyRe: Can't We Just Get Married Without Involving Families? by cronsberg: 12:20am On Aug 03, 2015
Same thing i am going through now. I met a girl, we fell in love, after a couple of months, we agreed to marry. I did the necessary introductions, her family accepted, only for the eldest sister in the family who never visits the family home to start unnecessary hold up to my plans by saying that she was disrespected because my girl didn't inform her that i wanted to marry her shocked . can you believe it? does she even have a goddam say in the whole thing? All the important elders already accepted and are even eager for me to finalize the deal, but this cranky elder sister wants to create very unnecessary drama out of nothing. That is after all the troubles i went through with my girl's brothers that i am confusing their sister, that because of me she ain't serious in school again and all sorts of crap.
Sometimes i wish they will succeed in breaking us up, and knowing my girlfriend is the type that might easily run away from home(she did it before) and will do it again if they refuse to allow me marry her, then let her brothers attempt to face me and say i was responsible for her running away, the kind hell i will put them through eh, hmmm.
I just wonder why we just can't be as simple as europeans or americans regarding these things. You meet a girl, fall in love, plan your wedding, then invite family member. If they come, good. If they didn't, that will surely not stop the wedding. Heck zoom off to vegas and have a casino type wedding. its your life dammit. Thank God both me and my girlfriend are the running away from home type(responsibly though), adventurous and full of life.

Wow, and to think that am about to get married very soon also. @Op, thanks for reminding me to stay focussed on my singlehood and continue the use and dump method rather getting stuck to one woman. Damn i was carried away to even consider and agree to marriage. Am sorry my current sweetheart, but our marriage if off (seriously), i suffered before getting you anyway, you were playing with other guys in front of me while we were dating, i know how it made me feel then, therefore its your time to feel it too. The marriage is off
