You are right. The day a tinted car showed up, I sent my location to everybody.
Very funny. How come I didn't get it?

I only experienced this once when I picked up a lady and her two kids. She was like I should wind down for security reasons. cheesy cheesy We later picked her husband though and the glass went back up.

Most riders like it when your car is tinted. The only question they ask is if police don't disturb me.

When tinting, it shouldn't be dark all through. The back could be very dark while the front could be lighter. I find it funny when guys tint the front glass with the very dark one then cut out a circle for the side mirror.
I don't like it when its too dark.

It shouldn't be the darkest shade all-round...if na u, u sef go fear na.
I guess I'll be concerned. But mine is factory tinted, so it's slightly visible.

My question may look stupi*d, but it wasn't intentional. I'm new to the system and since I'm working on getting a car for e-hailing so I was thinking that tinted cars won't be accepted due to driver/rider safety.
Some riders especially female are apprehensive when you show up with a tinted ride.

The other day a riders sister told her to roll the glass down for safety reasons. I just laughed.

Curfew is still active, after 12midnight.

From where to where exactly for 10k, I'm sure average trip time will be around just 30 mins. How do manage police checkpoints during curfew? First time I got delayed and I found myself outside past 12 I had to give those mofos N500 but the second time dem hold me and my offline rider, na 2k the guy give dem. Since then I'm always running home like vampire running from sunrise
Some where around ikola road to egbeda. The guys where going clubbing and seriously needed to be there, I guess.

As for check points, a whole lot depends on the police and their mood. When the curfew first started, I was caught by aswani police, na 10k I use bail my car.

This Buhari self, the man doings dey surprise me. Are you guys sure he hasn't forgotten he announced a curfew?

At which junction? How much?
When coming from egbeda, the round about just by that Mobil gas station at moshalashi. They wanted more but the guys gave them 1k.

Sometimes, u just need that 10minutes nap to be reinvigorated for another 6hrs.

Sometime u r feeling so sleepy and can't even drive to the next Nepa pole. Talkless of ur house.

Don't judge until u find urself in his shoes.
Bro I drive as well. My dad has been pretty sick for some time now and yesterday I drove round Lagos from one government and private hospital to another: LUTH, LASUTH, IDC yaba, subol, isolo general hospital, igando general hospital...

It was after I had taken he and my sister home around 1am that I put on my Indriver app. When you say someone is wasted, I am the true definition of that yesterday.

Now, except you are telling me there's a thin line between sensibility and stupidity, I see no reason why that guy would set himself up like that.

Bro, you self check am now. As far as I am concerned that guy is trying to setup a gofundme account.

The reason you wont see my light at late hour work is because you've to put fear in the heart of your riders just in case they've bad intention... It's a tactics i use each time I work late night.
Don't know, I guess you might be right about that speed being a tactics, just so that in case they try anything while car is in motion, we might all have an accident, is that?

That is the problem with Nigerian police, we met just one police road block but they where only concerned with their rogger.

Me I no go fit consider night waka oo... The risk is too much but you get liver to carry four guys at that odd hour, once its past 8pm na only one passenger I dey carry oo if na guy, and e go siddon for front with me... I believe no be corolla or Camry you dey use grin
The other driver used a corolla but I drive a Honda crv. Not that it changes anything but since my glass is tinted I don't roll up the windows at night. The truth is that there's no justification for taking such risk but what will I do.

I am considering coming out tonight though, so if you see a Honda crv in your neighborhood, just know its me.

Look at the time now... The rider was desperate... Order like this don't come regularly even at night except when there us curfew the following day
You're right about the rider being desperate and more over they where like 7-8guys. I carried 4 of them and another driver carried the other half.

I suspected the other driver was feli, but nah, feli too lazygrin to drive what that guy drove last night, jeez I didn't see the guys tail light till we got to the destination.

However, the reason I am seriously considering the night thing is just how free the roads are. The risk still dey cut my liver sha.

Mine is simply because I don't have option 4 now, some riders even bid and use driver to cook noodles.
But this happened last night. Seriously considering just night movement on indriver. That trip gradually moved from 5k...7k, then to 10k. Road was free.

Why pity for such a person? He's just plain stupid to me. If you feel like sleeping after putting so much hours, why not go home. In fact why not call it quit..go home and have a good rest. He's lucky they didn't carry him and his car.

Let me speak for Uber Nigeria which I know.

Uber initially had a program that paired drivers that needed cars with partners that needed drivers. Officially.

As a Partner, from your account u can manage your fleet, see all your driver's performance, the trips they took and their daily earnings.

Infact if u want to go the Fleet Manager route, all ur drivers' weekly payment enters your bank account as the partner. Then u and driver will do counter balance as the case may be.

All those functions and systems you are referring to are in place. So we can say without a doubt that Uber Nigeria is aware, designed and sanctions Rentals.
Thanks. I didn't just have the power to start that argument. A friend back in the day got his rental car through that program.

It would have been a case of an elephant trying to fly if uber didn't take the rental route in Nigeria.

FINALLY someone stated the obvious
I disagree. In this part of the world I think their business model was designed to fit rentals. Without rentals it would have been very difficult for uber to function in this climate. Any other model that is not rentals will not work in Nigeria for the simple reason that the percentage of car owner-drivers will not meet the demand.

Bro permit me to say your line of argument is laughable...

In all my explanation, I never opposed landlord or car owner asking for more, all I said is that it should be well documented and agreed by both parties .

Tax is affixed and that explains why different workers pay differently according to what they earn,

10 of 100,000 is 10,000

10 of 80000 is 8000

Tax percentage is affixed, regardless of what your earn .... Rent fee is affixed (depending on the contact signed), regardless of what the car renter earns.

Any question?
There's nothing to laugh about except you're laughing at your image in the mirror. I ain't talking about the percentage, I am talking about the fact that you pay more because you earn more.

Dru welldone.. grin. your strategy eventually worked out. Lure drivers with 2k challenge to upload dashboards(dashboards that doesn't mostly translate to money in your account) and now, onwers are bent on increasing rent or 40k/60k. But the truth is, except you decide to drive your car, drivers will always have larger share because they really deserve it. Please where is @BAZO? your silence in all these is begining to be suspicious. grin. My Boss @izzou, I hail sir.

Boss....can you tell me your sector/industry, that your boss pocket 100million monthly (that's over a billion yearly) .

What gives you the impression of 120k, 80k weekly?.....did you consider fueling on the part of the drivers and other miscellaneous expense?

You need to read up the word Rent.....what do you think your boss will do if the owner of the premises come to her and say madam I heard you are making 100m per month...going forward my rent is now 60m monthly? ..it's either she agree or look else where for other options.

Try to read and understand my point....you have everyright to increase your rent, drivers have every right to accept or reject.. do you
And is it out of place for the landlord to ask for more? With regards to tax you pay according to company revenue. As staffs of an organization you all don't pay equal amounts.

30k to me for a single man is still now bad because you cant compare a single dude with a married man but 30k for a married man to me? Is a big No! Take it or leave it!
You always look at this married man matter from a driver perspective. Don't you think car owners are themselves married?

Come to think of it, thank God she even spoke and I had the opportunity to defend myself. Some will just keep it to themselves and report to bolt and trust them, na straight hammer.
So have you raised this concern to bolt.
