Chazleeray: My biggest challenge was relying too much on me google maps and helped me really well, Though i was kind of Lucky because i always vibe well with my rider's. Google is your friend[and this is the only phrase I find to be true, not the Nigerian police one], only with time you get to rely less and less of it once you get accustomed to the roads. But if you find that you are having challenges with finding your way just try and open up to the rider, a lot of them will be more than glad to direct you. Driving in this hustle can quickly make you tensed if you don't hold it together: traffic, car issues, bad energy riders, police... At all times try to be at peace with yourself. Take full responsibility of events as they unfold. Be calm and collected. |

Felicity001: Its that chain like tool they use for the filter that's the challenge.
But me i don't like the DIY abeg person wey learn work no go chop and feed him family? Most riders have a car(s) but still use our services.
1k or 1.5k no go kill me or make me richer There are certain things I just feel one should be able to do for one's self, and I think this is one of them. My oil filter is snugged in hand tight so I don't use any tool to get it removed. True 1k or 1.5k no go kill you neither will the knowledge on how to do it will. |

Chuwaa2: How much is your oil change biko. Most mechanics now too de drag for 3k. I do my oil change myself. If you know how to change oil for generator, this one is similar except for the inclusion of oil filter. Just know the quantity of oil your car needs for the change and that's all. Open cap, remove dip stick and remove filter then remove nut from oil pan. |

Resurgent2016: I doubt they can win the case in court, on what basis is the road a 1-way street by 3? any road sign to indicate? any warden to direct drivers so?
As someone not familiar with the area, how am I to know an otherwise dual way becomes 1-ways by 3 pm?
If I say pursuing 5-star makes some drivers timid, some people will say it is necessary to make a living.
I have driven on BRT lane and on sighting lastma, I moved to the main way. When they stopped me and threatened to take me to their office. I denied right there and then I had ever used the BRT lane and asked them to produce evidence that I ever did pass the road. If they can prove I did, I will accompany them to their office. After, causing like 10 mins traffic, they had to let me go because they definitely could not win the case. Immediately my case was resolved , they brought out their phone to snap anyone else passing the BRT lane. Boss don't be fooled o, there's a sign there that says it. |

kanuisagoat: I should not be saying this in a public forum but if its going to keep putting bread on someone's table, I guess I have done a noble thing.
The thing with staying active on bolt is to outsmart them.
Guys, get another phone and open three bolt rider accounts.
Once your client did not show up goes above 20-22%. Book yourself two times from each of the rider account and cancel.
It will raise your passenger cancelled and reduce your client did not show and you have enough leverage to slide arrive and cancel as many trips as you want with client phone number is unavailable or client did not show.
Other advantages to having multiple rider account is that you can use it to boost your ratings and also to meet your bonus targets.
PS: Note that you must not cancel more than 5 times in 24 hours else you'll be blocked for one day, then one week and indefinitely. Dude you could build a nuclear bomb with this same energy, time and effort. Why waste it in trying to outsmart bolt. |

radautoworks: yes, you will be wrong. You see a woman obviously in emotional distress and that to you signals "I could hit that?" Women talk to unburden themselves. In this case she even told you she had nowhere else to do so. Men talk to problem solve. The day you understand the difference the mystery will be a lot less. The only thing I can say right now is that she said a lot of stuffs to me that I can't disclose that won't make me wrong to insinuate that "I could hit that". But then again you could be right about the emotional distress part. I have even been forced to ask her if she's been vengeful on her husband for the pain he's caused her over the years? |

radautoworks: And this is the problem. You guys think just because we are sociable we want to sleep with you .
Do you know how many guys I've invited to go out to eat or a movie or new activity I got a great deal on because I just didn't want to go by myself? I had zero interest in them and just thought they were cool dudes? Yes, because unlike men, women can see a guy they like and want to get to know them AS A FRIEND.
Sometimes I invite a guy platonically because I know if I go by myself random strange guys will bug me unless they see me with a man already. Why not ask another woman? One, because then the guys will just disturb both of us and two, a lot of things I like to do other women don't. Men are just wired differently. Forgive us. |

So you know for a fact she did not block him and he started calling from other numbers? Is that not how stalking works? I think we can all agree that in whatever way and manner he used, at the end of the day, if the lady is not comfortable with his advances, he should know when to stop. |

Pearl1910: For this matter, that guy is clearly demented...how can u tell a woman's "husband" that his wife is fine so u must toast her that he should get lost. That driver no be normal person, so its not by whether she gave him reason to hit on her or not. And she must have noticed his behaviour too late so she just flowed to appease him before him stop mid way and harm her. Just like Radauto said even if she gave him green light, it cos she may have just been managing the situation till she gets to safety... That what I think. Totally agree with you on him being sick. But I still think she could easily have ended the ride when she got down to buy food and just order another. I feel there are certain measures she could have taken that she didn't take. Like I said, what do I know. |

Duke111: Chief, i duff cap for this, cos u just described me in every sense.
I carried a rider earlier feb from presken hotel gra, throughout the ride we started chit chat so tey we got to her destination n still continue chatting using style waiting for another ride.
Another ride came den and heading to d PU i got a text of how i made her day and hoped we could see again.
I just nodded my head in yinmu way and moved on.
Two weeks later she ringed me and was hinting if we could hang out that day, well i told her I traveled to benin city and she was like wow that wen am back i shud let her know.
Some lady riders are very sociable and me wont say cos u r social den I’ll now be strategizing on how to get u laid, for me its out of place.
While some riders and demons in lizards clothing. Rating a driver as horrible n nonchalant is so insulting.
I go tell uhna another story latter
Peace The reason why I was trying to make madam radu understand that woman matter can be complicated. Picked a rider sometime in January [married] and as I speak with you today we are really good friends. There's nothing about her family I don't know. If there's something to talk about I'm the first person she calls [let me not even go into details because she's told me a lot]. She's told me intimate stuffs about her life, some she says she can't tell her husband, though I won't call her attention seeker but I think she just needs someone to talk to. Let us assume for a brief moment that she's single and I decide to hit on her, will i be wrong for doing that? Honestly speaking, she's given me good reasons to do it but that's not how I roll. So it is possible that the content of their conversation may have urged him on, but what do I know. |

radautoworks: I'm calm. My comments were about the driver not CRV. Did your see where she said stalking? Does a block prevent someone from stalking you physically? I think she meant stalking with the calls. He will be very stupid to go to her place of residence that will be trespassing and a very serious crime. |

radautoworks: you men will never understand how much women go out of their way to be nice to men so they don't attack them. Ask your sisters and cousins if they've ever experienced something similar and how they reacted. It will open your eyes. The male ego is a grenade and can't handle even the most polite of rejections so the average woman will stroke/pet the ego long enough to get to a safe place and GTFO of there hoping he doesn't go off before then. Truth is there's a whole lot about women men don't understand. Like how a woman says no but in actual fact means yes. But a times simple things can be complicated. |

radautoworks: I don't care what is said in a conversation. When a woman says stop, you stop. A polite (usually to avoid angering a man) comment does not give you carte blanche to stalk and harass. I don't care if she told you she wants to have your children! Madam be calming down, no be fight! Like I said the lad maybe sick. I was never in support of what he did. |

Cheddaz: I carried a Jamaican Lady raised in South Africa with a clear foreign accent. Na so she share her experience with a bolt driver. She is based in Ogbomosho but I think she runs the restaurant at Farm city Lekki so she goes back once a week. she should be in her mid 40's or less.
She ordered a bolt ride and the first thing driver said was that he liked white , she's light skinned. she was surprised at the statement but shoved it away because he was driving a white car. so during the trip they started gisting, they also stopped at KFC and she got a meal for herself and the driver. Got to destination.
Her nightmare started. The driver turned to a stalker, calling at odd hours, sending WhatsApp msgs, asking for a hookup and all, it got so bad that she had to call bolt even informed her embassy because she has been kidnapped before. She even had to ask one of her very top ranking police officer friend to pose as her husband to make the guy back off. The guy told the officer that his wife is fine na, if person no toast am problem dey na, that the officer should f*ck off.
The lady said, normally she be Jamo and she be real werey but this man behaviour, she fear. I just concluded to her that the man obviously has mental issues and that it's people like him that make riders give bad reviews about bolt drivers. The driver was in his 40's as well. The gist shock me sha, though e dey happen steady Something may have transpired during their conversation that probably urged the guy on: just saying. On the other hand, like you've rightly said, the dude might as well be a psychopath, someone who is seriously disturbed. But she can easily block him off. |

Bammzzie: As per drivers ratings, no one knows how far riders can go to rate u low, even if there's another rate worst more than 1 star, riders will use it on we drivers. Ok I picked a lady around surulere, on our way going my phone keep ringing so I later asked for her permission if I can pick d call and she said yes, she nw asked me if riders doesn't allow drivers to pick calls, I said yes nw especially all this island girls, she nw said some drivers worst o, that they'll keep making long calls while driving Nd riders dare not talk but after d end of d trip they'll give d driver 1star with very bad review. She also said she first look at my face Wen I reach d PU that I wasn't smiling and that already give a bad impression already before she later knows I'm nice and jovial... She gisted me about how she show a driver pepper while driving her to her house and d driver said he can't go further cos d road in their area is very bad and his his car is low, she said she told d driver that's not her fault, all drivers knows Nigeria roads are bad, that he shld hv raise his car before he join d platform... After alot of dragging The driver sha manage to go front a little to like 4 houses before her house and because of this she rate d driver so low, reported him, send his num to her friends to report him as well... U can imagine how far she went to block the driver frm his career. I just pity the man, and riders that do this d most are ladies btw 16-25 years (my observation). What I'm saying in essence is that u can't please a rider 100%, jst do ur best and leave the rest. I am trying hard to understand, you took permission from rider to answer your phone? What happened to your hands free? I always carry my earpiece along with me. Jeez! |

geezyk: Good day everyone, I'm a newbie on e-hailing, for my less than 1 month on e-hailing I've seen the good, bad and the ugly, even though I drive 3-4 times per week and 8hrs max I've seen life, most riders using bolt are ladies, if I'm to make a percentile of my riders, I'll say 90% ladies, 10% guys of those 90% of ladies 20% have given me a tough time.
For instance a trip from Alh. Masha to Ogunlana ext. Nearly made me mad, a woman with a newborn, his brother and probably their elderly mother, they got into my car, asked if they knew the shortest route to take, the lady said other drivers take the fastest route, told her I'm not familiar with surulere, her brother said he'll try, we moved, on getting to am area, the brother got lost, I had to use the map to navigate, the lady was just saying gibberish about wasting time so I can get more money, it even got to a point the brother had to shut her up, I just dey vex, if not for that elderly woman, ill just send them down, las las trip ended 800, she just rushed down without even closing the door.
