Gentlelife50: Wetin again una wan hear? You people are entrenched in the belief that increasing the AC means more fuel consumption so there's no explanation that will change that belief, I am sure a lot of people here don't know about the fan under the evaporator. The fan circulates the AC wether hot or cold, so if you increase the AC it's the fan's speed that's increasing. The AC fan can even work without the engine working, blow breeze as a fan will do but the compressor can't work without the engine working. That means increasing the fan won't add extra load to the engine, engine speed increases once the compressor picks. It have nothing to do with the outside fan like someone earlier argued, the outside fan works with the cooling system.
It was meant to blow and trip off from time to time but we always disconnect the thermostat arguing it will make car overheat and allow the fan to work non stop. I know that if you increase the speed of something it requires an equally amount of energy to compensate for that extra speed. The same way your body will need more energy if you run than when you walk. But then again the question is which energy source will need to work harder to compensate for that increment? Anyways this is what google has to say on this matter:

Cooladex: This are the kind of days I pray for.
Set out this morning as early as 5am to take an offline client to Local airport fro my side (Ilupeju), trip was less than 14mins. Guy gave me 3k. I blew down to Gra as it was still very early to chill smwhere when a trip entered, destination was berger buststop. I got to the hotel and notified the guy. He came out after like 10mins with 2 luggages,I started trip and confirmed destination again. The man said berger bus stop but if I can take him to ibadan he won't mind( For my mind, I say wetin be my job again). We begin negotiate price. This man agreed 30k based on Yankee returnee and I am to just drop him off at tollgate ibadan, where they will be waiting to pick him up. But the devilish siblings in ibadan insisted 30k was too much and told him to price me down. We agreed on 25k. I dropped him off at ibadan and got back to lagos at exactly 10am.
Started d days hustle and is still netted 7k b4 3pm. Home now resting..... Had similar outing Saturday. Came out pretty late(5:15pm). I got a request from around Diamond estate to 1004; rider is German. Trip ended 4,600 rider gave me 5k. Another ride request entered immediately: Eko hotel to lekki phase 1. As riders entered they saw a phone, my first rider had forgotten his phone. Several min later forgotten phone rang: Caller:"please my friend lost his phone Me: phone is with me, will bring it later Caller: okay Several min past, again forgotten phone rang Caller: please are you coming? Me: was on a trip but I am on my way to you Caller: please don't take any more trip we'll pay you for your time, just start coming Got to 1004 Rider: how much is your money Me: just give me anything Rider: my initial fair is 5k so I'll give you 5k Me: thank you Got home, around 12am, my phone rang (same German rider) Rider: please can you pick someone from marine beach NPA HQ and bring him to 1004 Me: I live far from apapa won't be able to make it Rider: how much will you take Me: its late not sure it will be possible. Why not book another ride Rider: its past 12am the apps ain't working Me: if you can do 20k I might try Rider: 20k is too much. How about 10k Me: sorry sir can't do for 10k but if you're able to pay 15k I'll go Rider: 15k is still much [hanged up] Several minutes later my phone rang Rider: send me your account details I'll send you the 15k Before long I got an alert for 15k. Funny thing though, I got to pu and called the person I was suppose to pick up but his phone was switched off. Called the German guy to tell him, he said I should give him a min he'll get back to me let him try. Some mins later German guy called to say he tried calling the person but couldn't reach him. He pleaded with me and told me to go back home that I could use the money for my weekend. Na so I face house. Got home to 2am. Gave security man 5h and police I met on the way 3h. From just one person I made 25k. And I came out around 5pm. Night work dey sweet! |

chucsmoore: . Nope u got it wrong those drivers are very smart, they know what are doing. they know how to cash out on Indriver. I converted 2 trips of 3k each to 5k. Surulere to sangotedo N3750, I accepted and converted it to my suitable price. Chevron to Ikeja GRA N3,350, i accepted and converted it too. Only few drivers know about this Conversation techniques. Fastest finger then u convert it to own price. That's how to profit on Indriver. I do this conversion a lot |

Blackbishop: Boss you have spoken the truth, though not all is agreed on, like the Angryigboman part of not applying this to his life method. You never can tell bcuz he doesn't come here to show off.
But on the other hand dreaming and reality are two different medium.
Success by mouth is different from the physical wealth, and here wealth is different from riches you can be rich health wise or financially but doesn't mean all round.
The main point here is to always Dream It-Pray For It-Work the Work. Nothing will drop on your lap like manna.
I want you to all analyse this; 2 Farmers are praying for rainfall, to start their planting season. One was praying and at the same time tilling the land in preparation, while the other was just praying and fasting and sleeping.
Which 1 do you think God will answer first.
In all pls pray and work the work.
I hustle now not to Hustle later. Like me carrying my knapsack up and down lagos in fact holding danfo for back to move within lagos Last last everybody go dey alright.
Make this people approve my papers then am off this rock. Life no balance. You'll be surprised. |

brogxy: Like I said earlier that the text in the image is what you are meant to preach, here you have the translation as I perceived you might have thought I wished you bad.
"a single tree attached to its roots stopped a truck loaded with hundreds of trees detached from their roots. If you want to be strong, stick to your roots and your principles." What you failed to see in that image is that the trailer was not built/meant to uproot the tree, that was not its purpose in life. The thing for which it's purpose it is to uproot that tree is the chain saw. Know your purpose and go after it with everything in you. |

Looking back at journey of doing ehailing for 4years. I will sincerely tell u that the energy, time and effort still doesn't worth it.
Ehailing doesn't have potential and capacity to give me the money I want. Its a rat race, its time consuming and very stressful in correlation to money u make.
And there is limit to what u can make as a driver.
Like kanuisagoat said "Some people want more out of this life" How dare you bite the finger that fed you! Show gratitude. If ehailing were to be human how do you think it will feel regarding your remark. I think a lot of us just needs to be grateful for the opportunity life has offered us to put bread on the table without begging. In life you have to remain steadfast, disciplined and focused if you have to get anything out of it. Its never going to be easy and if anyone tells you otherwise then its all lies. If you get a good paying job today would you say your primary education got you the job? But that primary education was part of the process that got you to where you are, though fundamental but vital likewise ehailing. Ehailing should be seen as a fundamental aspect as we journey through. Take out of ehailing what ehailing is willing to offer. Ehailing is not a one shop for everything. But at the same time can be everything depending on how you look at it. During one of my ride requests I met this young girl, quite bright and intelligent. We connected and when I dropped her at her place she offered me to come into her house: its a 2 or 3 story building; each floor is a bed room except for the ground floor which serves as the sitting room. She pays 1.2m p.a. Won't go into her life details because I asked her why pay this much when you can actually build your own? She said she's already doing that! The reason for this story is because this girl suggested to me a brilliant business idea I could venture into considering where I worked which was something I never thought about. So understanding your terrain and the little opportunities it offers is key to your survival. Being successful in life is knowing how to pick up data from your surrounding and converting that data into meaningful information that you can then use. I guess what I am trying to say is: ehailing is a fat cow, how you milk her determines what you'll get out of her. Don't complain embrace it. |

Back in 2012 when i still reside in mubi LGA of adamawa state, i use to drive a manual car from there to lagos and back every three month, a distance of 1,500km. Then i use golf 3 gti and due to fact that the car was manual, the car was fast. I still drive a manual car upto date and i dont feel any pain of any sort. I know how many times i don sleep for steering while driving auto, na God the save man oo. Oga find what your issues are. If you sleep while driving don't blame it on auto trannies. In the north they are doing in drives and attributing it to "cause unknown" (first hand account from friends that ran down south to get away). In the south, they are calling it malaria and typhoid. izzou: The comparison is very different
In driving, The right leg works most, whether it's auto or stick. Or is there a way the automatic makes your right leg to rest?
The left is mostly used to Clutch down, and this happens when you want to brake completely, or change gears.
The hand shifts the stick in seconds. It's not like you need so much strength to move from 1 to 2.
I'm starting to believe that many people talking down on Manual cars, didn't drive it much
To be sincere, it's not bad at all, talk more of how it's being exaggerated Based on your assertion you may think its inconsequential because you rarely use your left leg and right arm but the fact remains that a certain amount of energy and inconvenience is required to use a stick. |
