Felicity001: No na... I'm not that poor to offer N1,950 for a trip of almost an hour na
But come to think of it... Dis my moniker don dey go viral ooh... You sure I won't go put a patent on it so? 1,950 for a trip of almost an hour is more than any driver can bargain for. If hypothetically you're able to make 1,950 every hour and you work for 12hrs that's 23,400 and that's not small change. |

Na so one late afternoon, uber knack me ikorodu from somolu, though ride was smooth with less traffic as I dropped rider, on my way out, them knack me island na so I japka. BAZ001: Thanks, So inDriver won’t take any commission. I need to stay back and study the APP, all the ginger to hammer this weekend has gradually gone down. inDriver is not really a bad app. Study the terrain very well before accepting trips so you don't end up wasting time in traffic. That first hand knowledge of knowing where rider is going gives me inner peace, something uber can't offer. For me I don't think I'll last doing only uber for the entire day. |

BAZ001: After seeing plenty millions in Dec and post that you can net 20k soft job during weekends and I have plenty time and car staying idle na so, I activate my accounts and register on InDriver. Ready to hit the road fri - sun (must net 20k) Na so first gbagan gbagan na one babe 9min PU , 10 mins waiting outside for her trip na 14 mins, got to destination and ended trip, fare - 800naira. Rider : how much Me: 800 Rider : Account Me : what is account R: I mean ur account number Me: (in my head which kind waka be dis ooh) Me: from which bank R: zenith Me : okay let me give u my zenith no. R: omg you have every bank account? Me : I will get alert faster Alert landed and I repositioned.
Main reason of my Epistle na cos of InDriver. Na so I begin monitor request before I accept gbam another driver don accept.
For where na so I accept one fastest finger too. Rider fare - 1,850 me I suggested 2500k Rider accepted sharp sharp na so dem give me ride. That was when I checked destination on map 1hr 25min after ojodu Berger from Surulere and everywhere red for road. Chaii I don mess up PU - 15mins drive. Then timer began to warn me to call rider To cut story short I can’t cancel trip cos I slide “I’ve arrived”. Rider has been calling non stop APP says I can’t cancel cos I’ve left PU. The other option is to complain about rider. I dey house dey look app , app dey look me, still unable to cancel. No be ban I dey play with for 1st trip Boss I beg no burst my belle with laughter. For me despite doing fastest finger I try to quickly scan the map, if B dey for a section like ikorodu, ota, badagry, apapa, iyanaba axis I don't bother accepting. With time you'll learn to study the map and know first hand where to and where not to go. |

After waiting for about 15min, she called that the item will not be released to me. She asked me to send my account details and how much i will collect!!!!! I told her not to worry as i didn't embark on the trip, but she insisted it wasn't my fault and more so i already spent my time waiting So i sent my acct but didnt stipulate any amount...... I immediately received alert of 2K .... I quickly sent back appreciation message.
Meanwhile today is very dull ooooo. Only two trips since 6am Drop her digits let's give her a call to show appreciation. |

Please how do you handle such riders:
Rider book a ride and you get to PU, called rider to notify them you're here and you get "I'm coming".
10 mins later rider is still coming, only for rider to show after 10mins and they tell you can you move faster am running late or am in a haste.
Me: what have you been doing before you ordered the ride? You kept me waiting for more than 10mins and you're asking me to fly cos of your negligence?
This thing dey always pain me.
Please your opinion. I always tell them my priority is to get them safely to their designation. Better late than never. |

Olayetan: So today, being 1st Monday and 1st day of the month, I started work late, I was just resting due to the weekend stress cuz I’m always on the road through out the weekend.
I decided to set destination to ajah from mushin then when I get to island, I set destination back and close for the day.
While destination was on, a request came in from ladipo market to igbo efon, I was happy cuz I knew that would give me nothing less than 3k, on getting to PU, rider asked if I can deliver 2 Tyres to someone at igbo efon, in my mind, I said this is a big opportunity for me. I asked the rider if we can run it offline and rider agreed without feeling reluctant, he asked for my price and due to fear of overcharging people, I asked for the highest estimates and he said 3400 then I demanded for 4K for the offline, He agreed without pricing.
He made a call to the receiver and told him my price, that moment, I just realized I could carry someone going to island along with the tyres, then I started waiting for request on inDriver going towards island, but I went back home while I was waiting for the request to come.
I had waited for about 10mins and didn’t see any request going towards island then I decided to set destination back to ajah on bolt.
Just few min after setting destination to ajah, a request came in on inDriver to agungi with an offer of 3k, I quickly accepted the offer before another driver did and the rider accepted mine too. I was about calling the rider when another request came in on bolt going to island also but I couldn’t say where exactly on the island so I 1st called the bolt rider to ask where he/she is going and she said agungi, and inDriver rider was heading to agungi also, in my mind, I said I will run the 3 trips at once.
When I checked pickup location of the 2 riders, they were actually on same street but one at the beginning while the other at the end of the street, I was like see how God made this so easy for me.
I went to pick the inDriver rider 1st and explained to her, she agreed without feeling insecure, in my mind, I was like this is easy mehn,
The other rider was waiting for me at the filling station on the street, when I got to her, she opened the door and realized someone was sitting beside me at the front, she thought she entered the wrong car and wanted to go down but I stopped her and explained to her, she was feeling so insecure and wanted to drop but I convinced her and she agreed reluctantly to go with us but online.
In my mind, I was like who mind if it’s online or offline, so far you are going to pay me for the trip, then I’m making triple on a single trip.
Both the inDriver rider and bolt rider were actually going to like 2 estates away from each other but inDriver estate came 1st while the bolt rider estate is the next junction but I decided to drop bolt rider 1st since it was online, her trip ended on 2800, she made a complete transfer of 2800 and I went to drop the inDriver rider and she paid in full her 3k offer too.
Remember I still have 2tyres in the trunk to deliver, drove straight to Igbo efon from agungi, told receiver the traffic was really mad and I would have done the trip online cuz it would have read more due to the traffic but actually, there was no single traffic cuz I didn’t leave immediately, due to how I talked to him, rider paid me 5k instead of 4K we agreed.
That’s how I killed 3 birds with a stone and made 10800 on a single trip and I didn’t use up to 1500 fuel to cover the trip. That's an over kill boss. But next time the indriver trip and tyre would have been sufficient. Sometimes things can get too complicated you'll think its village peepu. |

davit: Guys let's look after our health o. Obviously, we are more exposed to Covid-19 than others, not even when we can't but listen to some of our riders to avoid being rated low. App says no AC, but if you do otherwise you get badly rated. Same with passengers more than 2. And same app will block you for low rating.
As I dey type so, I'm down again with malaria like fever. Still treated same last month. Just hope no be Coro. Boss if na coro, use it for uber/indriver. Nothing do you! [jokes] I had to educate two ladies I carried yesterday about coro and AC and how windows need to be left open. Babes no agree, them say I just dey give excuse not to put on AC(well, that one follow, my engine na 2.4ltr. What to do na!?) Felicity001: Yes na, haven't you try making a request in Indriver b4? Even you'd noticed during the festive seasons Indriver hiked fare (surge). As you try to make a request in Indriver it will tell you "this is the normal rate for this route but you can increase the amount to get a driver quickly"... Something like. So the app won't even bring up a fare amount of N100 for a 2km/4min trip for an example. I quite agree with you on the bolded because fadeyi to igando should not be more than 2.5k. So I was quite shocked when I saw that price, even more shocking was babe wanted to pay with clitocurrency. Told her I don't mix business with pleasure. Drama! |
