I didn't drive today, after I saw all the stupid price and how drivers jump on it, I gently find my way back home to sleep. Yes! There's winter, but not enough reason to slave oneself. [b]Drivers or riders r not the ones that determines price on Indriver again, it's the app itself and riders just stick to what they see.[/b]Today I was draggin price with one rider for almost 5 attempt, voom one driver snatch her, if only drivers learn to go with the middle price, the rider will have no choice, it doesn't have to be me... but what do I know, someone is ready to go to Island from Mainland for 1400.

The middle price is what I always go for, although most times I do test the riders with the highest price and funny enough they accept. The times I take a riders price is if rider is going my way and I am done for the day.

However, something strange happened in the Fadeyi to igando bus stop trip (see screenshot). Riders price on this day initially was less than 4800 which I accepted since rider was going my way but app declined saying that the trip should not go below 4800. After several attempt rider changed her price to 4800, apparently the app refused her to go below that amount.

Sometimes, I think the app imposes prices on the riders.

The way bolt matches drivers to riders is one mystery in this ehailing work I'm yet to unravel.

I have an activity score of 98% and rating of 4.90. My rating has not dropped below 4.80 in a very long time. Yet, when I'm at a location with more than one driver and a request comes in, it almost never comes to me.

I'm starting to think its probably a first thing first out thing. Since I hardly stay long enough at one place, its difficult for me to confirm this.

I think it could be the fifo thing. For instance, on uber, when at the airport, it tells you there's a long queue and although not sure, your position in the queue as well.

You can't make a left turn into Oniru from Ozumba Mbadiwe if you are coming from Lekki Phase 1.

Google map will gladly lead you into the waiting arms of lastma and traffic police at the other end. .

BTW there is a "No Left turn sign" by the signpost ( reason why you need to be very observant).

In this case, the local signage trumps any advisory from Gmap.

If what I'm reading here is true, then the bolt guy need to be locked up for trying to defame an innocent rider for his own carelessness.
I think we need to be hearing from both sides of the story now before dragging any culprit.

I read it and didn't know what to say. Will probably do her an apology. But that is utterly wrong of the driver.

I saw she was online this morning so I decided to say good morning to this hoodlum rider.

This idea of waiting at a place till you get another ride for some reasons has never worked for me. Infact, I only did that during my first two weeks on ehailing and I quickly realised I made more money moving around smartly than just staying in one place. Yes, I used just a little more fuel but I made more money.

Once I drop off a rider, I wait 5-10 minutes then i'll move towards the nearest place where I know I'm most likely going to get another ride.

When I see people say they've been waiting at one place for 3 hours no request I want to smh but then I quickly remember that every one has what works for them. Driving around works quite well for me.

You may want to read about hypermiling. Thats the technique I use when driving without a rider.

PS:
I am not recommending driving around to anyone because you may end up wasting fuel if you're not smart and you don't know the exact places to target.

I guess its different strokes for different folks. Staying put has always been my mode of operation and it works well for me.

Making money on Bolt in Lagos at present has a lot to do with DRIVING SMART than just burning fuel around.With a Corolla '05,you can make more than 13,500 with 3k fuel....speaking from personal experience.

If driving smart means not driving around aimlessly for request, trust me boss that's what I do. First off, I don't leave my house without a ride and once I drop you off I don't leave until I get another. The only time I'll drive several distance from drop off is when looking for a good place to park and wait.

Boss, I read the thing and I was doing a rough math in my head. Though I won't compare my engine size with that of a corolla but 3k capital to make 12k-13k, that is blood money na. For me I start with 2k and that gives me roughly 6k+ then I just continue to top as I work setting aside the 2k I initially started work with for the following day.

Reading your post now just made me laugh despite having a bad morning. See me see Canaan land trip, 7min PU, car no gree start. Any time fuel enter reserve and car is parked over night fuel pump gives issues. What to do now!

So apparently my car ran out of Gas, after several checks if there's a leakage in the hose, everything seemed fine.

They sha filled the gas, AC started cooling, Drove to the airport to pickup someone, and back everything seems fine. To God Be the Glory

The reason for suggesting a refill is to ascertain first if the cooling system still works, from there it can then be narrowed down to a leak or something far more serious.

See me wahala o, so my car started blowing dry air this morning as I dey go buy something,(it blew it's usual mortuary standard last night) I just branched my mechanic, he called the AC man in his work center, AC man do him check, said I'll change evaporator, change condenser, change hose and some other gilbrish, back me 135k bill.

Tho this is my first car and I don't know so much about cars, I feel it's outrageous and those things he mentioned are not all bad. Abeg who has a reliable and trustworthy AC guy lemme go there

PS: The heat part of the AC is still working perfectly, don't know if that counts sha

Try to refill and see if it chills. Could be minor leakage. Similar thing happened to me. A/C that worked previous night started blowing air the following day.

I got a ride request that took me to Apapa so i approached a mechanic I saw working by the road side. He called an a/c guy for me who examined the car and showed me where the leakage was. He charged me 8k but I told him I'll give him 5k. He refused.

I got home and took the car else where. This guy came and the next thing he told me was that he would need to open the dash board, he would also need to bring out my compressor. I just stood there looking at him like does this guy know what he's saying.

Last last 1.5k workmanship and two cans of refrigerant did the job. Had to get another person.

Check if the pressure lines still have pressure.

So I had my last bolt trip on Monday, Took rider from orchid road - Thomas estate, then rider opted for the whole day service to buy some stuffs @ Idumota and back to Thomas, we settle for 13k. Omo as we reached marina we got food then the waiting started.. from past 9am - past 5pm.

I'd say during that waiting time was the best thing that happened to me, we're still in January, the year still fresh to loseguard

First off, Investors, DONT INVEST anything above 1.5m in this business.

I own a car geng, There a other things far worth it out there you can do with your car, Take a trip to orchid road, if you don't find one example, then continue the Uber hustle

And most importantly, REMITTING DRIVERS

I have to hail you guys first of all! Na Una dey really keep Lagos moving! Any driver remitting back to back and still has a family deserves everything good in life Pls put eyes out there for better things brother, it's not easy, but it'll surely come.

I followed this page for a year plus before going into the streets of lagos But after 2months and 4days, I call it quit (to work only on public holidays)

Simple matters, the way we handle them atimes weak me. Look, plain and simple: The girls came into the vehicle with an item how they got the item shouldn't be anyone's business. Call the girls and make a suitable arrangement on how to hand it back.

Yesterday in the evening, all routes leading from 3rd mainland to ogba, ikeja; oshodi to oworo was totally blocked. I felt sorry for anyone on indriver at that particular time.

I get Ur point bruv, but do u know ideally and legally ehailing is not for pacel deliveries but passengers. The person u carried at a point in time is ur client not your app account holder cos d app is just a bridge to bring a passenger and a driver together. Lets use a normal and popular scenario where u call a bike man to come carry ur babe go where she go enter bus, the babe is the passenger not you that called the bike man.

Like i said earlier, d Driver over heard something and he felt to let the account owner know which if he didn’t call him nothing still spoil.

Now this is where I think the issue is. Why call account holder for items that was left in your car instead of the riders that left said items in the car. As far as I am concerned he went over board. Even if the girls stole his(account holder) entire house that is his headache not the driver's, after all na him know where e go carry the girls from. He(driver) just complicated issues for himself.
