chucsmoore: Well It all boils down to the car you re driving. Kola and Alakuko was filled several deep large potholes the day I went to Sango. The bottom of my car was just hitting the ground, after that trip i swear never to go there again. Muscle is very low compare to other cars. If your car is high enough to navigate that bad road, its fine.
Better still Ekoro route to Sango is better, road smooth and tarred
This route I am talking about is okay. The road sweet die until you get to ojuore. Alakuko I think is towards Alagbado, I don't have any business going that route. I will be going through abesan/command.
chucsmoore: The question u need to ask to yourself before embarking on that journey, have they fixed Sango OTA road? Or you wan take Abulegba via Ekoro enter ?
Atan is a place I go to once a while. I was there last in December last year and my usual route is through kola. If the state of the road is what it is the last time I went there then I am fine as long there's no rain.
davit: The work get as e be for now. After 3 hrs of waiting at Alausa, a request just popped in from CMD. Rider going to Ikeja. Less than 1k.i jejeky told baba to forget it. Went offline. Waiting till 10pm to take back my offline rider to Island.
Bros. hope this is not excuse for not making your 10k today o. Lazy youths! I beg na joke I dey o.
tunbe: I earn 75k monthly, It's a government job. I have (2 motorcycle) that delivers 18k weekly. I gave it out on instalment. They still have 500k to go. Just planning to get married.
This is even more secured than a private firm in terms of job security. I don't know how your own gov. job is but from experience I know a lot of gov. workers have enough time in their hands. Like someone advised above, take the loan and drive the car yourself you'll be surprised how time flies. Trust me you'll do fine.
Slickleo: I know u never enter ikorodu brt if not ur sense go tell you to rate dat guy 5
I just didn't want to quote the guy directly. To say someone endangered his life because of noisy suspension is terribly shocking. For the sake of peace and sanity in this thread we just can't start another aimless argument.
pope191: There's really no comprehension, if I get a 9 to 5 job that will pay me 150k monthly with 5 working days, I won't even think twice before jumping on it, as long as they will pay when due. Right now I don't think I can leave driving (my fear tho), kind of stuck on this lane, d exposure, if not for driving, I would have been living in my small world, the ovens, the light and sight and beautiful souls here... So! I'll obviously b driving during my free time as I've set monthly target of netting 200/250k (God willing).
About 10k daily, I'll say 50k weekly is possible, but d odds have been against me and my work pattern right now is not helping (Kind of lazy). Yesterday by 12:30 I was already on 6500 net and I see no reason why I won't make 3500 before night fall, but I don't like the way the car is firing, so I decided to go drop it with the mech and have it check. We agreed for him to change the plugs, a cyclider that machine detect misfires and as well wash the fuel pump assembly and change it. Went to pick car Ard 10 am today and as I was heading to Lekki, that's how car start acting funny and the check light kept blinking, a little bit of stop, the whole car will b shaking. I have to pull over at Yaba and beg the rider to take another ride, cos I'm not comfortable driving a car in this state. Call my oga and explain the situation to him, he said is the pump, we should get complete fuel pump assembly. I rush down to Oyingbo to get that and drove back to him, so he can fix it on time. As he coupled it, I quickly on my app and another request entered 4500 to Lekki, I start car and the shake is still obvious like fuel is not supplying adequately, had to tell rider to cancel again. When we were done placing machine on it and correct the faults. I just jejely find my way home. I firmly believe 10k is feasible daily but with much endurance. Things r not the way it used to b now, there's a natural winter, flowing in the sky
So bross na you capture this ojodu to conservation trip. Was at alausa when that request show up but PU distance and time was too much so i didn't bother to go for it.
About making 10k net daily, hmmm! Well, impossible is nothing but with the reality of the way things are it will be much easier for car owners than it is for drivers on HP/rentals.
I drive my own car and I have a day job that brings in something every month end so the time and energy I'll put into the hustle might be quite different from someone who doesn't and this will certainly affect my output.
However, in this line of business timing and positional skills matter if you are to succeed...add in a bit of luck! Yesterday I was parked close to the secretariat, alausa, and juicy requests kept coming from ojodu(inDriver), ...this is not the first time its happening and I couldn't take rides from uber for fear of the unkown. As at past 6pm I had only done 2trips and nowhere close to my daily target so as to meet my weekly target when a call came in from someone I know who offered 10k to and from idumota market today(sat). Na so I take close shop and called it a day.
So my advice, prioritize your positioning and if possible set out early.
deedee44: GTB is mad, nothing like interest on my daily savings, they even deduct stamp duty charge from my main account everyday. Sometimes N50, sometimes N100
northbird: Bro, I don't know how they do it o esp d Moove guys, who have no options.
Part of the reasons that made me leave their app, na those short trips.
I have driven more than 2km to pu. Only to take the trip it was a card trip, end trip I saw ₦300. For a corrolla, i almost got crazy that day. Different emotions running through me.
Even Keke from Ogba to college road makes more than ₦300. without any yeye protocol of smiling, courtesy and all that balderdash in the name of customer service and ratings.
Like you guys talk here. Wahala be like bicycle. I get scared each time I put on the app because I don't know where the rider might be going. I can't waste resources: fuel, time and energy for 200naira, plus there will still collect commission.
Though, most of you have opined that the moove guys may be getting preferential treatment, which is possible, because I don't see the business sense in using a car worth millions for 200naira trips.
kanuisagoat: It can even come by 2am na. Make all of us dey drive 24 hours
Warri talk say slap wen be your own go everly reach you. Its either you pay transport go collect am or the slap go find you come house. I see our blessings and breakthrough in the same way.
FuckEveryday: Omo bro, this hustle don dey make me craze small small o, So jejeli jejeli I was coming down from falomo bridge towards VI, naxo LASTMA jump enter my front with their tools say "my tyre dey ontop people wey dey go Saka tinubu" I dey obstruct their movement, meanwhile they were going there own without any issue Naxo I follow dem drag am o say I no get money, las las dem collect 2k and I went my way (that 2k was all I had made that morning)
I somehow found myself @ somolu after years of waiting for trip, I made the worst mistake so far of this young year by turning on indriver, I saw one trip(rider wanted me to carry some Papers from somolu to him) from where I was marked directly to Ikorodu Road..Island boy wey I be na, I no know how that road dey be, I turned on Google map (estimated time of arrival 2:19) fare- 1500 appx 32mins trip. In my head, I go just use the money top fuel, zoom off to airport and wait till eternity till I get trip back to lekki.
My dear brothers, as I dey move, 2:19 was moving to 2:50 to 3:19 I dey look 4:00pm 4:00pm dey look me Ontop 1500! And the worse thing besay I'll have to pass through the guys place before I get a U-turn to civilization Infact, Wen I got to his shop by almost 4:30 I was nearly deaf and dumb, like who send me Baba gave me #1500 plus extra #200 in his words "bros top fuel abeg I no get too much" I appreciated cus he has every right not to, NA ME FvCK UP!
I just turned off all the apps, Zoomed STRAIGHT to the island, buy abacha, go house, uninstalled indriver, carry car cloth Cover my car till further notice cus my mental health is very important
Pearl1910: Make them no just try am...people ran away from uber cos of cancellation fee.
I guess its different strokes for different folks. Uber and short trips. I wonder how you guys who do uber squarely survive it. Uber knacked me 3trips back to back and none of it was above 1200naira despite setting destination to Ikeja from lekki, they claimed that rider was heading towards my destination...I weak!
I entered lekki with a ride on indriver for 5650k, rider gave me 6k. Got out with a ride of 3.5k.
A friend did a trip on uber, trip ended 200naira oyinbo give am 300naira
xana101: I got activated on indriver today. I really don’t understand how it works. I see more than one request popping up. The pick up were very far. I was at admiralty phase 1, getting a pick up at vgc. I don’t know how u guys do it. I saw one going to my destination at dopemu from lekki. B4 I could pick someone else has taking it. My major concern were that of very long pick up. How can I set it so I don’t get very long pick ups. Thanks
Click on 'settigs', the spanner like icon, top right corner of your phone. Click 'sort by', from the options, choose 'Distance'.
No body don chop my data reach this guy, if it's the voice or something I don't just know
I pray LuxuryDriverng get to this level someday
My brother youtube no dey let my data rest. The content on youtube alone beats digital television far and wide.
The other day the fuse powering my car's moon roof button got burnt, and roof was open. If not for youtube I for hear wee. To make matters worse, rain fell that night.
kanuisagoat: The truth is, our mechanics are really trying. Go to edmunds and other car review websites and you'll see hundreds of car problems that still remain unresolved despite countless visits to the dealership.
I have even seen someone say Acura or Lexus(can't remember which) had to fly in their engineer to his city to disgnose and resolve the issue with his vehicle when the dealership he bought the vehicle from couldn't resolve it.
Even the engineer that was sent could not resolve the issue so Acura had to replace the vehicle for the guy.
Those were engineers with modern tools, scanners, and tens of years of experience. How much more our own local mechanics. While it can be argued that quite a number of them incompetent, cconsidering what is available for them to work with, they are really trying.
The bolded is exactly Dru's point. If the whites are having a hard time getting their cars fixed, how much more down here in Nigeria where quite a number of mechanics don't take the time to update their skills.
Dru was only stating what he felt was the obvious. I follow chrixfixit on youtube and this guy is a bad ass mech. He uploaded a video of changing the battery of a Prius and without the right skill set and tools an attempt to do that will turn that car into a lemon.
omorkelly: Some ladies are just not nice at all. Presently on a trip to Osapa London from V/I. After phase-1 she said she's having a stop over at Blenco to get some stuffs. On getting there i politely told her i don't like to wait more than 5min. She responded; it will be more than that o. That she has to search for the items and have to pay as well and afterall shebi her trip is reading!!! I calmy explained to her that 10/min isn't good for me cos i would have covered several miles in same time. Her response shocked me but i just mumu for her......She said is 100 naira not ok for 10mins; this is just January and i want ti make the whole money for the year...Me just smile and kept my cool. She spent about 25mins though!!!
250Naira! I'm sure she thought she has done you a favour.
confusedworld17: Going forward... Stop threatening fraudulent riders with statements like ; I will deal with you, I will go hard on you and so on. Cos if anything bad coincidentally happen to the rider that period, you too na suspect Oo...
Na oven lighters geng. I think he meant go down on her.
Bolt encourages this transfer, hence drivers will always be at the receiving end.
This guy made a transfer, got down from the vehicle without showing proof of transaction not until I called him to show transaction details which he did.
I guess there should be a reversal or he was out for fraud because he has blocked me.
Fare is N3,100, his number 08051453864.
Thanks.
I have learnt a lot from peoples experience from this forum. I never let you go until the alert is confirmed. A guy requested a ride for a lady, destination was royal oaks lekki. I didn't let her go until I got an alert from the guy. If you claim you're in a hurry then do alert before we reach destination. That's why I use indriver. Hope you get your money back.
