fiizznation: Yeah Mr pessimist, never sees any good in others. None of your backward state can be compared with kano state in terms of social, physical, infrastructural or whatever development. Kano state is miles ahead of wherever cave you came out from. Now the topic is talking about a $1billion railways tracks, you mischievously brought "almijiri" into the discuss just because of bitterness for people who don't know a simpleton like you exist. Pray tell me, between the almajiris and the hundreds of drug barons executed all of the world, who is more better? Of course the almijiri is better because he doesn't uses greediness to take the lives of innocent people all over the world.
Never do well like you have already made social medias a place for nuisance were every tom and dick display all sorts of foolishness, that's why many sane minds are avoiding various fora.
Now what's your business with kano state or governor ganduje? Is he your state governor or its the railway tracks meant for your village you called a 'state' ? In all honesty, I don't care. I care about the humongous federal oil money wasted there at the expense of more deserving places. Kano state gets more than the SE, ofcourse it should be a paradise but it is not. It is just an Islamic haven with a lot of decent, un-used roads due to low productivity and abysmal level of human development and millions of despicably poor people who would behead people at the chant of allah. Despite out-receiving the SE in federal resources, it lacks behind the SE in most UN indices of human devt. It has more poor people, more illiterates, more out-of school children, poorer heath care, instability than the entire SE. That is how devt is adjudged, not barely used paved roads and fly-overs. If kano was in a separate country or under a proper federal system where parasites have no place, then I wouldn't care how you use or waste resources. But it is not a productive state, it is a parasite leaching off others like a monster. As a rational human being, how do you justify kano getting more than the SE combined in a supposedly progressive nation? |

MIGHTYMAN82: With huge amount of money a state like akwa ibom collected but yet still the are poorest state in nigeria Akwaibom houses Nigeria's most lucrative offshore and even some onshore reserves . what they get is absolute peanuts compared to what they contribute. I am not justifying corruption but the facts should not be muddled up. |

oduastates: You know nothing about American politics. The school feeding program is back by the American federal government. It was a campaign issue before the program started Obama campaigned on making the food offered more healthy and he did make changes. Clinton is campaigning to provide early child care. Those are national issues that affect every single American. That is what federal policies mean. You don't see them talking about localized issues like boreholes, erosion control for certain states , FG control of Texan and Alaskan oil, FG control of silicon valley and many other notable Nigerian BS. |

This is why Igbo women should be very careful when making marital decisions beyond the boundaries of igboland ( and I don't mean the SE alone). We need to think about the future sometimes. |

CandyDiamond: In Igbo land, the part I am from, if a woman is treated badly in his husband house and she left with the children when they are young and grow up with their mother and decide not to go back to their father, they will be assimilated into the kindred of their mother. Nobody is denying the fact that they will be assimiliated. Ofcourse, igbos are civilized and would always recognize their own blood. But when it comes to high positions, especially ones keenly contested in the Igbo community or as a group, that fellow is already at a massive disadvantage. Infact, it would take a miracle for such a fellow to rise to any prominent position in igboland. That is the fact. It is inhumane(I know), but the fact nonetheless. Children are traced to their father's house in igboland, and rise and fall on that merit. |

One thing i can say for BMB is that he has gotten the eastern bloc as well as the niger-delta anytime he wants to run for any political office as long as it does not conflict with a potential Igbo candidate. He may need to build ties in the north and the coast is clear. But that should be after buhari is long gone from power due to his cult like figure there . I believe the next most important thing to the east with regards to Nigeria after an igbo presidency is Ben murray bruce. |

mikolo80: who will ask him ThEse our hungry elders that will keep quiet once they see money? Who wan question billionaire for Nigeria There are levels he will never be able to attain in igboland. He should try running for politics for example which is always keenly contested in the east and even some chieftaincy positions. His non-Igbo paternal roots would haunt him then. Sad but true. |

The demerit of inter-tribal marriages. The boy should be careful. Children of igbo women who married non-igbo men are barely recognized in igboland. It is a sad fact. He better hold on to his father's people well. That is his real root. |

MadCow1: Thanks for taking the time to indulge me..
Just some points.. I don't think placing flat panels would work. The Sun hits the earth always at an angle from the East or the West depending if its risings, setting or falling. Flat Solar Panels would mean this Keke would never at anytime be getting the full energy from the sun which then means the Batteries would never be fully charged at anytime.
Some other Nairalanders have brought on the aspect of weight of the materials used to build the Keke Plus the weight of the passengers/goods it would be carrying and the energy required to move the Keke..
More weight = More Power from the batteries, couple that with the inadequate harnessing of the Sun's energy = failure.
This is just me thinking out loud.
I think the Inventors need to explain to us all the challenges they considered during the design phase and the measures they took to overcome those challenges. Ogbonnaya onu would have been the best to grill this man to explain his science. Amina muhammed is just there for the cameras. |

APC:- PDP has destroyed this country by looted the treasury dry.
APC:- The recovery money isn't enough to revive the economy.
This means the money looted by PDP are in real sense not up to those medal figures |

obstead200: well, I rest my case. believe what u wish. I will maintain my doubts. Just know that solar cars (for now) are designed to be extremely light weight:- (carries only one person most times).
fridges on the other hand are very different. there are DC fridges that operate with less than 100watts You have a point too. Solar powered cars for heavy commercial use is not out yet. Even if the technology is available, certainly Nigeria is not the first point of call. Unfortunately, those clowning ministers are not even knowledgable enough to ask the right questions. |
