not much difference. Girls who did not grow up with their fathers do not necesarily have problems relating to their husbands. It is all in the mind. I have seen girls from decent families turn out to be nightmares in marriage. My aunt came from a dysfunctional polygamous home, she's a great mother of 5 kids with a contented husband today!

Dear you don't have to be sad, like arikky said its her (their) loss. And in as much as it hurts, or you didn't see it coming there is a saying that in life, we loose some and we gain some

Some girls can be very insecure which can be one possible reason. "What if you got close to her boyfriend and . . ?", remember she did the same to you, so she has to have it at the back of her mind that the same might be coming her way. For some girls, the "prevention is better than cure" policy works best for them!!!

Some girls on the other hand loose focus, not intentionally but because they get carried away. They just found new love, and my gosh every other person on earth could varnish for all they care. You just have to excuse them. Yea we do say "we'll not let anything come between our friendship", but somethings are easier said than done

Some girls, friendship with them should just be called "charity work" Cos its like you were just sent into their lives to help them through the bad times and be forgotten during the good times. There's little or nothing you can do about it, they just don't value you the same way you value them. Like Arikka said, we are human and capable of forgetting and doing mistakes, but forgetting you both during graduation and marriage to me ooh has another definition of friendship marked on it

And then there is getting married when your good good friend is still single, darling very few of this case remain the same . . why?? you may ask. Well more or less, your "worlds" change. Its no longer the same because you now have different aspects of life to cover. You might find out that your agenda no longer match, and even if you tried you find very little to share in common

I had this friend, infact she was my best friend when i got home from school in naija, she's a year older than myself but we were TIGHT, real close. She gets married and what happened?, no matter how we try to hold unto the relationship that once was, its more or less ia lost battle.
Now when i call her on phone my mum bursts our lauging because its only a "greeting call" of how are you? I'm fine!, how are you? i'm fine! how are your kids and husband? they're fine? but how are you? i'm fine? and that continues for the next 2mins, til we say "we'll talk later"

Its real difficult to hold unto friendship when one has moved upward, you sort of get into a new society and new bunch of friends that fit more into your own category of life!! A few make it afterwards, but only a few. Its just life, its unfair, yea, but we hust have to live with it.

Forget it dear. I'm sure life has better friends in stock for you. Thats just how it works, you loose some, and you have new ones come your way. Where and when you'll meet your life-time-no-matter-what-circumstances friend(s) is yet to be told, but don't give up. It happens to the best of us

More reason to why families should watch and control the eating habits of their growing kids, do not just sit there, thinking and saying "she's just a kid", those words got this family here. Please be parents in cases it warrants you to, say No when you have to, Cos its their best interest in the long run that matters.

Well i only tried it once and swore never to do it again. Don't you have an oven??

Well this is what you do: You light a hip of firewood, and cover all around it with some aluminium or zinc (this is to make sure the smoke doesnt go to ruins)
Thel fill a bowl with sand, let it not be too deep, so the heat can reach through to the cake, the place it on the fire (you should have some thing like blocks for it to stand on, just like ordinary cooking on firewood)

Do this some hours before the baking, Cos the fire sand needs to be heated before you place the cake or else you'll spend two day at it lol

Then make a mixture of your cake dough, pour it into the desired form and place it on the fire, you should also cover the cake with something since this is taking place in the open

Cake recipies: which cake do you desire to have the recipies on . .
chocolate cake(one of my favourites)
orange cake (tastier than the name makes it sound)
banana cake ( i love banana to death, but the cake? not my taste at all)
norwegains call it "marmor kake" ( i love this one too, has two whiter layers and a chocolate coloured layer in the middle)
bløt kake (too much crea, if you're in naija then you might want to forget this one Cos of the sun)
muffins (these might be a perfect choice, they're tasty and you dnt have to cut it, its already divided)

If she can't cook then you have to settle for some other alternatives, but the guy has to make sure he's cut out for that or else it becomes a problem after the edding and honey-moon. And thats exactly what we do not want

I've seen cases where a girl pretended she just "loved" eating out, after the wedding, well its obvious hubby can't afford breakfast, lunch and dinner outside, so he asks the wife to cook and there she is making phonecalls to ask for guidelines, this nearly split the family when the husband found out

Now there's nothing wrong in being a "stranger" in the kitchen (not i deal in my dictionary though), but be sure to have both parties'attentionaware of it before the "I do"
