Nairaland GeneralDarlings . . Lets Have A Heart To Heart Chat (Its Peace Time 1) by cuteass1(op): 1:06am On May 09, 2007
*PLEASE ALL, READ ATTENTIVELY, LONG YEA, BUT ITS REALLY WORTH THE TIME* i promise grin

It pains my heart so to sit and watch what is happening . . its heart-breaking, tears-dropping and face-saddening, honestly cry cry

And i can't stand it any longer angry

Give me 5 good reasons why we can't get along like matured adults??

The worst part of it all is the fact that these are the stronger and most modernized ladies in nairaland, a team that shouldn't be beaten, a team that should be looked up to, a team to take the forum to the next generation and level, a team that should smell fun and friendliness all over it, a team that should give the newbies a reason to stay, a team that should be the heart of nairaland, a team to be reckoned with wink

But what do we have here . . lets see . . someone please help me with the list

A team that loves fights, quarrels, oral abuse and gossips, a team that people despise, a team that is dragging our names to the mud, a team that newbies look at and think "is this the so called nairaland", a team that's full of hatred, a team that forgets who they are, what they're made of and where they're going, a team that is nothing to write home about, a team that . . . cry cry cry

When i go back to nairaland 2005 and up till the end of 2006, i love what i see, i smile at the comments and arguments, i smile at the friendliness and "for a while" enemity, i smile at the conversations and disagreements, i smile at the flow and the cheering up of others, i smile at the growth of the forum, i smile at their capability of making nairaland a home, and something worth passing on

Believe me when i say that if they all were this abusive and hating against each other, there wouldn't have been a nairaland that we all know and talk about today wink wink wink

I know there is still a lot in the air to be said, but what happened to telling it out with love, I'm sure none will intentionally hurt the other, its all frustration, anger, grudges and all what not but they could all be solved in a more amicable way, don't you think??

Its obvious we all love nairaland and each other, so why can't we help it stand??

It is impossible to live without arguments and disagreements, comm'on thats why we're human, each with his own thought and ready to stand by it, but can't we argue and shake hands afterwards, meet tomorrow, by chance have the same opinion and stick together

Its not a fight peeps, its not a marathon, we don't sleep on nairaland either, we all sign on to discuss, get enlightened, have fun, make friends, get advices, I'm sure no one signs on to make enemies, we just misunderstand atimes and some misunderstandings lead to disasters
Nairaland GeneralRe: How To Search Nairaland Username Using Quick Search by cuteass1(f): 11:03pm On May 08, 2007
Well hope i can help, even if only to a point

What i do: is, I type the person's username on the "www.nairaland.com search" which is below every nairaland page, then a page(s) comes up with the "username's" participation on nairaland

Anyways its always either a thread they've participated on , or someone addressing them or quoting them. Eitherway, click on either of them, scroll down on the particular page/thread till you see the username doing the talking and TALA!!!!!!!! wink

Donno if i made any sense lol undecided grin grin
Lol maybe the Tyra of now is a size 12(doubt it though) but when she was a model she was between 2 and 4.

Maybe things are different in Europe, though maybe not since they seem to be thinner over there
What is a size 12 BTW??

Maybe i'm the one mixing things up . . the size 12 i had in mind was "british 12", is the "american 12" different??

Help me here, i think i''m lost, Cos if you say Tyra was a size 2 then i might have calculated wrong, here in Norway size 32/34 is XS, 36/38 is S, 40/42 is M and so on

So are they different . . explaining with small, medium, large terms please wink
RomanceRe: Should I Give This Woman Beater A Second Chance? by cuteass1(f): 6:22pm On May 08, 2007
DeGlory:
i am scared of my life oo but i can't stop thinkin about him
God please help me
Its difficult in these situations, to know whether to run or give them a second chance, because all are different . . but what you just said, "i can't stop thinking about him" is what frightenes me, honestly

Becasue if he tries it again after a year, it might be more difficult to leave.

I would say that a guy who slaps his wife after two years into the relationship is better than one who does so after a month, after a month he hasn't in any way "earned" the right to do such an ignorant act (no one earns it, but after a time they might earn the benefit of the doubt wink )

I don't think we should always think "if he loves me", love doesn't make someone more perfect nor less human, no he shouldn't have dared, but no one is above of a mistake . . Some are bad at handling anger, if its constant, then its another story, but if the person is capable of controlling it or seek help then all hope is not lost

In your case though, what bothers me is the fact that he does it for no just cause and NO, thats not acceptable, you're not his punching bag that he can use on any bad day and you'll not accept that wink

Lastly if he does the rest of what you complained of, then the beating isn't all there is to it. I think he has some jealousy- and possessive outburst, which you have to sit and think if you can do with or not . .
its cute to be jealous, but too much of everything is bad so when it gets overboard then he either controls himself or you walk . .

Never you settle for anything less than the best, Cos in the long run you might not be able to overlook it like you're doing in the beginning (the best doesn't mean perfect but someone who'll put effort into treating you like a princess) cheesy

Look at "pot" calling "kettle" black shocked

First of all, talkto the guys, one thing they say, lead to the other. If some guys stopped patronizing these girls with their money, and stopped flashing it in their faces, then those girls will have no choice than do without

You can't be encouraging an act and at the same time, preaching against it

I'm so dissappointed when i see girls who are after a guy's money and nothing else, but if the guys weren't willing to give it to them, then there wouldn't have been a cause for alarm in the first place wink

Who is size 12?? I'm sure Tyra Banks isn't anything less than size 12, or is she?? undecided

Tone your body, you can be a size 8 and still not capable of doing a bikini if you're not toned. If you have your parts fit and in the right places, who dare tell you not to?? tongue grin

Instead of loosing the weight, make the body you have fit and toned, and you'll be rockig your world. Do the exercises to keep in shape, eat less fatty stuff not to get bulks, be active to look good wink

But what pains me, is when someone who doesn't need it is still in the same boat as others who actually do.
We're trying to stop all the bulimnis and anorexias in the world and yet some want to join the club, its pathetic angry
How tall are you? The best way to lose weight in Nigeria is by getting a sickness. Being skinny doesn't necessarily mean prettier, its what makes you look better. I have a friend on the same page who'll get mad at me and say "well Linda , i don't blame you, its because you're slim" huh shocked

I know i've turned my head for some "not so slim ones", the way you make use of what you have is what counts, some skinny ones are not even happy sef!!!
I don't advice being "fat" or being "out of proportion", but a "size 12" . . Comm'on, thats "medium" and sounds good to me ooh.
HealthRe: How Can I Lose Weight Faster ? by cuteass1(f): 3:14am On May 08, 2007
What do you do??

You do nothing, absolutely nothing. Have you ever heard of body mechanism?? All you've listed and done, and yet no progress. That goes to show you were beautifully and wonderfully made the way you are . . and that no matter how you try it might just be a waste of your time, everyone has a boundary (i mean, when they get to that point, no more no less. Now i think you've gotten to yours)

Darling a "size 12" and you're looking for ways to loose weight, what, you want to look like some skeleton?? shocked

Girlfriend quit that bullshit and live your life, you have a perfect size and you're complaining. Some will see you as ungrateful ooh, what do you expect those much much bigger in size than you to do??

I can't give you any tips since i don't find your case pertubing, now you better start counting yourself as lucky, before i get mad angry grin grin

Should you date her?? that's the most silly question i've come across all my stay on nairaland, so we should all run into our cupboards and shut the door. . Why not ask us if you should stop taking your bath angry

You miss the point, cute-ass.

FashionRe: Fashion Mistakes People Make by cuteass1(f): 11:47pm On May 07, 2007
I've been saying this one, and fortunately an opportunity to repeat myself lol grin

People that wear under-sizes pisses me off . . someone that is a size 16, just in the cause of fun and to look sexy wearing a size 10

what's up with that?? I keep wondering though . . doesn't she have a dressing mirror, or she forgot to look into it before leaving her house?? shocked shocked

I have a friend that is large bursted and she loves wearing lower-sized bras, everyone wants to be sexy, i guess thats her definition of push-up grin grin

What the hell is wrong in wearing your own size, does that make you any less sexy and attractive??
Because with the under-sized clothings you think you're drawing attention, but meanwhile people are feeling sorry for you, because obviously, you owe no sense of shame cry cry shocked angry grin

From Davidylan
is there anything mummy does not disagree with?
Yeah right, sometimes the body rings don't matter, but sometimes until you know the person well, you are left guaging what they are by what you see on the outside.
True . . but remember there's no gurantee to a human-being so be careful my dear, before you think you're running from a wild cat and run into the hands of a "wolf(ess) in sheep's clothing" wink

@Cute ass,
Contemplating getting a piercing this summer,  stil not too sure where I want it. Also of the "list to do" is a tattoo, I am trying to change this "goody-girl" kind of look,
Hope you choose a not so freaky place for the piercing . . i've always liked the tongue piercing, but wouldn't want to go with it
Like the "madonna" piercing a lot, but with the nose-ring, i decided to pass wink

I wanted a flower or angel tattoo some time back, but didnt want a mark for life that i couldn't get rid of even when i was fed up with it so i disregarded the thought too!!!
