Mine is still the same
Lems2:
Good morning. Please has anyone’s “Application Transferred to VAC “reverted back to red? Or is it still the same way it is as at yesterday?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 9:02am On Dec 01, 2021
I think it's a glitch o! Because i'm only 10 working days today and it's also showing transferred to VAC. It seems like everyone has the same tracking right now

Good Morning Everyone. Please I am a silent reader here, thanks to everyone who has been contributing to this platform. I just want to ask if it takes long for application to be received by VAC. Because since yesterday morning it shows transferred to VAC when I tracked it and still the same this morning. Or does that mean I have been refused. Do they transfer to VAC first before sending refusal email. Please kindly advise, God bless you all.

Wait o…my tracking showed that my application was received by the decision making center since Nov 19 but i just received a mail saying;
“Your UK visa application has arrived at the UK Visa Section. Your visa application is under process by Visits UK”.
Does that mean that TLS Tracking is wrong??

This is why they keep denying legitimate people who plan to return. Why not go through a legal route instead of being an illegal immigrant and risking deportation? Canada even has immigration route for plumbers, truck drivers, chefs and other lower professions.

I don’t know what you’re checking because I used YouTube for my IELTS practice. I didn’t even use any other extra material and I scored 8.5 in listening. YouTube has more than enough practice tests. You can’t even finish it.
Jacknn:
Please I want to know if there is any platform I can purchase another Cambridge material. I have gone tru all the Cambridge materials from 1-16.. And in not satisfied especially for the listening.. And the YouTube materials are not helping matters because the format is not Cambridge standard. I need only Cambridge.

If there's anywhere I can get extra materials for Cambridge pls someone should refer,..I dont mind paying for it.

You should go to the Canada visa thread
BeansAndBread:
Currently in the UK with a Nigerian passport and I'd like to visit Canada for a week, how can I go about it? Is it difficult?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 10:45pm On Nov 29, 2021
Hope you know the cancellation timeframe is 15WDs….so either way, you will still wait
dzee1:
If you have 40WDs to wait, I think you should wait.
The only reason I'm trying to withdraw is cos I don't have that much time. Plus today is just 22WDs for me. I can't wait.

is it not better to find another country to relocate to? Like Canada….your wife will be studying and you will be granted a work permit. The citizenship route is also straightforward. Because overstaying by a whole 8 years is a very big deal o.
Ayaoye:
Good day house. Please I need Professional Advice. I overstayed my visit visa by 8 years. Came back 3 years ago voluntarily on my owm expenses . Now my family of 5 want to relocate to the uk on a student visa, my wife will be the student and i and tge kids will be her dependents. She studied previously in the uk and has no immigration problem. Please do you think we will all be denied because of my previous status. Mind you the law says I'm banned for just one year after leaving the uk. But I've stayed out for almost 4 years. I NEED YOUR ADVICE PLEASE..... THANKS @justwise and other gurus please don't pass me bym

If you’re vaccinated it’s only 2 days quarantine.
Hycon:
Is it true one has to quarantine for 10 days after entering the UK?
Do we have to add those days to the total number of days the person will spend in the UK?

Also, I think the expense/budget will go up because of the stay at the hotel for the first 10 days.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 4:37pm On Nov 29, 2021
I think there’s a UK students thread where people will answer this properly.

I'm afraid that the UK might delay issuance of visas due to this new omicron Covid-19 variant. Countries are already reacting and there are 2 cases from Nigeria sad

Wait o….for school you will need your school fees, your travel money and also enough money for accommodation & feeding of the 2 of you for 1 year (that is if you are going for masters).
How much is your school fees in pounds?
Eddibloc:

Ah..7m total. Please oh, nor make me fear. So whats are you saying? Like 10m? ☹
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 1:30pm On Nov 28, 2021
Well, you can apply simultaneously if that’s what will be convenient for you. On each application form, you can use the 2X income rule. I don’t think it’s realistic to use 2X income as a budget for 3 people. Each application form is different. Just focus on getting your finances right in anticipation of your next application, write a convincing cover letter and you’ll be fine.
Just make your first trip and by the time you get to the bridge of 2 years visa, you will cross it.
esdajo:
Really? Can't we all apply simultaneously the very next time I want to renew? Secondly, what about the part regarding the montly disposable income when juxtaposed with the amount earmarked as the budget for the trip? Does it really matter if its over 2x or 2.5x treshold if the total budget is lets say 1/5 (one fifth) of my account balances since I would be the one financing the trip?

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 1:18pm On Nov 28, 2021
Hmmmm….6 million after paying school fees right?
Eddibloc:
Good day all

Please I'm a fresh intending applicant.
First, I'd like to appreciate the informations you guys give freely to help others here. Thank you
My question is,
1. As intending applicant, I'd be applying for a student visa. Making plans to travel with my wife. Is it possible?
2. What would be the overall cost of this journey? Pls my budget is around 6m. Do we have a chance?
3. If we do, what documents do I need to be working on now and when do I begin the application process?

I would appreciate your sincere response to this ASAP. Thanks @all
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 11:36am On Nov 28, 2021
if you can go and come back before applying that would be nice. Going & returning establishes trust with the uk government and applying for them the next time would be smoother. The next time, you will apply & get your own 2 years visa before putting in their own application so that they can claim that they’re accompanying someone who already has a visa.
esdajo:
Good day everyone and happy Sunday. Please I have a question regarding the rule of a visa applicant not exceeding 2x or 2.5x of one's monthly disposable income for a trip. For instance, if I intend to apply for a visa for my famiky since I already have mine, does it matter if the total budget for the said trip is 1/5 of my bank account balances (I am the one sponsoring the trip) since it's already over and above the 2x or 2.5 x threshold? Please, gurus in the house should respond as I don't want to make any costly mistake by applying for my folks now or would it be better I go first and apply for them when I want to renew? Your contributions would be highly appreciated.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 2:45pm On Nov 26, 2021
Try to get your business registered first. Once it's registered, open a bank account in the business name and be doing all business transactions with that account. Out of the 2M you have now, you can transfer 1M into the account of the business as a starter while leaving 1M in your personal account (don't spend it).
Then, you should also begin to pay yourself monthly salary from your business account to your personal account on a particular date (example; every 25th of the month). Also, not less than 200-250k but it shouldn't be ridiculous (for example, your business makes 300k monthly and you pay yourself 250k monthly salary undecided).
Also try to limit your monthly spending too because the ECO may look at your bank statement and calculate that you spend 180k monthly, whereas, you claimed to spend 100k monthly (they try to do this sometimes when they are looking for the smallest reason to deny you).
Also ensure that your account/savings is growing steadily. Try to prove that your business is doing well. The money in your business and savings account should be growing steadily. Make sure that there is no sudden bulk money that enters your account. And if there is bulk money (for example, above 200-300k) you should be able to back up the source. If it's from a business transaction, then you need invoice & receipt to prove it. If its from a sale of car or property, then you need to prove it as well.
Also, you should try to run both your personal and business accounts for the next 1 year before applying. I'm saying 1 year because sometimes, these ECO's will look at your account and can easily predict that you started running the account in the last 6 months (they know these tricks).
I also don't think 2 million is enough...especially if you don't have any other property or investment. It is time to start saving aggressively within the next 1 year. Save as much as you can in the next 6 months and in the 2nd half of the year, try to save steadily without looking suspicious.
It you are married, have children or you have a landed property, that would also be a good backup for your application.

Don’t worry, after your medicals, you won’t get passport request from IRCC immediately. It doesn’t make sense to withdraw your application when you are already at the finish line. Withdrawal process is 15 working days so that will be counter productive.

Jxool:

I went to IOM already and I was told I can do the medical with copy if my passport and the Copy given to me when I submitted my application at TLScontact.

But my concern is after I do my medical any moment Ircc might send me passport request so I don’t want any delay when they request for my passport

And apart from that I need to travel, so everything is in tight corner that’s why I just want to have my passport ready
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by cutebear: 9:11am On Nov 26, 2021
Do you mean that there is a shortage of skilled workers? Because we keep hearing stories of people getting to Canada and saying they can’t find a job.
Zeus04:

They better open doors. It's been so hard to hire people in this Canada... As a recruiter, you will literally be begging people to take your employment offer. It's evident that Canada need immigrants... They can't survive without it.

Wow! I never knew this o! See me thinking they usually DHL our passports grin
Debbieeeeeee:

The passport never leaves Nigeria. They stamp the thing in lagos or Abuja depending on where you submit. The files are e-files and are worked on in any location in the world where they have offices or officers.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 3:46pm On Nov 25, 2021
But somebody already answered this question. No, it doesn't affect the decision of your visa. This happens very often and people still get their visas.
Dinoforyou00:
Good day everyone. Please I have a question. If an applicant submitted an application and stated to travel to the uk for a period of two weeks, November15-30, did biometric on October 13, and decision has not been made yet on his application till maybe the end of his travel date and after. What is likely to happen. Will the travel date that has been elapsed affect the decision? Please I want as many as possible opinions please. Thank you
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 1:24pm On Nov 25, 2021
Yes, TLS has the option and it costs N27.5k

When did that start?
I plan applying this December for a trip in February and i am just too scared.

I know it’s possible for U.S visa because they don’t even look at your financial statements during the interview. But for U.K??! I don’t think so
You might have had 1k in your bank account but I’m sure you also backed it up with investments e.g Shares, Mutual Funds, Treasury bills or any other form of investment that would prove that you won’t be a liability to the UK government when you go there because they are VERY particular about foreigners not coming in and starting to seek public funds from the government. So I think you’re not giving us the full gist. Yes, maybe you had N1k in your account but I’m sure you also had other investments.

Please correct me if I’m wrong. From the looks of things, if your visa is refused, you will first get an email explaining the reasons for your refusal (based on the refusal letters posted here. They all said they got an email before getting passport collection mail).
BUT if you don’t get a refusal mail before passport collection email, it’s most likely that you were granted a visa.
Am I correct to assume this?

Hello, so sorry about this sad
Soft42k:
Good morning to you all, i received a refusal letter this morning. I'm not pleased with the decision. I want to reapply immediately i get back my passport.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by cutebear: 9:52pm On Nov 23, 2021
Please before reapplying, make sure you scrutinise your documents VERY WELL. Your accounts, your application etc. Because there are too many stories of people reapplying immediately and they get denied for the 2nd time. Infact, if you can even wait a few months for that 3 million deposit to not be in your statement. You can do it.
I had to pay to push my application from Nov 3rd to Nov 17th because I noticed I did some really huge transactions in early May and I didn’t want to start explaining that it’s deposit from my Bitcoin investment lol! Any reason for ECO to deny us, we need to avoid it like a plague.

Thank you so much I will reapply next week When my passport arrive

Congratulations to your sister, this is really a testimony!!!
Shalewab:
UPDATE
My sister got her 6months visa.
Application date-20th October 2021
Got to DMC on 25th October 2021
Received email to pick up on 22nd of November 2021.
She’s self employed,33years old and unmarried.
Paid herself only 3months salary as she had to stop during Covid because her business got a bit difficult.
CAC was inactive.
I want to thank everyone here even if I was advised not to go ahead with the application but with God, everything is possible.
Just be truthful and provide the necessary documents that can aid your application.
There’s no one straight road to applying when you’re self employed,be honest and prayerful.thank you!
