How Much Do You Know About Your Phone? Check out These 16 Amazing Facts About Phones

When the issue of best phone frameworks arise, no one can doubt the superiority of Android in that aspect, Android is on a world of its own entirely, it is open source which means that you can modify it to whatever your taste is, another factor which makes the Android more superior is its unlimited number of applications, as at the last count, there were over a billion Android applications on the Google play store, that is aside the thousands that are not on the play store due to diverse reasons.

In life, there comes those times when we need to felicitate with some of our friends and families on their special days like birthdays, wedding anniversary, and so forth, but due to our ever busy schedule, we always forget this, yesterday was my dad's birthday and I was so carried away with the daily bustlings of the life in Lagos that I forgot about his birthday, even when he called me later in the day, I still didn't remember as I picked up and answered him like every normal day until he mentioned the word to me, I felt so embarrassed and apologized instantly, so I wanna use this platform to tell my dad (Mr Morris) that I love him, another scenario is an instance where I had to send a text to my secretary to print some documents as against the day of usage which was Sunday, but It was past office time and I knew her to be an avid church goer (an usher),I knew she will probably be in church and didn't need to disturb her, so I settled for texting her later, but that never happened as it skipped my memory and I had to apologize to the people for bringing the documents in the last minute. I know how it can be for a busy man who forgets his wife's birthday, home can be hell for him on that day (lol).

All these scenarios were the push behind writing this tutorial, how will it feel if you are able to schedule text messages to send at a later date? Cool huh, we needn't bother about remembering anymore, all we nerd to do is write the text and schedule it, and it sends automatically at the scheduled time, to do this, we will be using this beautiful Android application called Text Later, this is a free application that sends messages at a scheduled time, this is a simple solution to send text messages at a later time or date, by default, the app sends messages at 15 minutes intervals, but you can change it to anytime you want by clicking in the settings tab.

I am replying to your question on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/3941490/4-extremely-useful-android-apps/1#58911651
I was banned by anti spam bot for trying to give Ejadike links to other Android app stores. Please Lalasticlala look into this

Now back to your question @Chimaritoponcho
You should know that Android is owned by Google, and Google owns the Playstore, the reason why it is not on the Playstore is because what most of these apps do are against their terms, so it tries to discourage you, if you don't download from the Playstore, that is the warning they will give you, but once you know you downloaded the app from a secured market, then you needn't bother, ignore the warning, nothing will happen, they are just against you modifying your device for some reasons. Go ahead and install it.

Ejadike I will be giving you the names of android applications stores, just Google them and you will get their site link, I can't give you the links else anti spam bot will ban me from this section too.

smartty68:
Another major cause of ghost screen issue is using a substandard charger and faulty screen digitzer atleast I've experienced it before about 6years ago because I even hard to format the phone thinking it was software ish. Lol

LOL, yeah, that is under solution 2

Lol

I have seen an exceptionally irritating issue of the touchscreen when phone is charging.

While connected to a charger, on the off chance that you attempt to use your phone, it will be clicking everywhere, not giving anything near what you wanted to click.

What is the ghost touch problem?

Ghost touch/screen (or touch glitches) are the terms used
when your screen responds to presses that you're not actually making, or when there's a section of your phone screen that's completely unresponsive to your touch. Exactly what the 'ghost' presses will do varies
from device to device, but it seems to be more common in some devices than others.

This ghost touches is a normal issue among smartphones like iphones, Samsung Galaxy, Sony Xperia, Tecno, Microsoft, Micromax, Gionee, Hisense and all other major smartphone developers. They are no enormous issue to stress over yet there is no perpetual fix to the issue. On the off chance that you consider going to your phone's service store, they will for the most part suggest that you perform a factory reset which is not an answer and will in no way fix the issue.

Here are couple of possible solutions to settle the issue which may rely upon various conditions:

Solution 1.

Generally ghost touches happen due to electric faults or fluctuating power sources to the gadget, I personally suffer from this issue and I have come to discover that it only occurs when I connect my phone to certain power outputs in my house, and also some certain extension boxes, I have however found a good extension box which doesn't cause the ghost screen, Endeavor to plug your phone at some other place with a different power supply and search for the issue, if the issue persist, then most likely your USB cord is causing the issue. Attempt getting a new one. Be that as it may, if the touchscreen works normally at a different place, then the issue is caused by current faults at your place.

Endeavor to charge it using the correct current supply indicated on the charger.

Solution 2.

Use the original charger and USB connector for the smartphone while charging.

Abstain from using any 3rd party USB cord or connector, especially those cheap ones in the market.

Solution 3.

Plug your phone to a stabilizer set, Fitting your phone to a stabilizer box as it diminishes electric fluctuations and give path for smooth power supply.

Solution 4.

You can charge your phone easily using portable workstation, PC or power banks and so forth. which gives steady power supply accordingly counteracting the issue of touchscreen bad conduct. In spite of the fact that charging happens slowly, it is best technique to avert ghost touches.

Solution 5.

Ghost touches are regular among smartphones and is not a major issue to stress over. There is a troublesome but simple strategy. Try not to use your smartphone while charging (I know it's hard to maintain a strategic distance from your smartphone), but give it a chance to charge, then unplug and use.

Ghost touches are not sufficiently serious to cause any technical issue.

Solution 6.

There is another more troublesome but simple technique to charge your phone. Switch off your smartphone and charge. This technique is not appreciable since many individuals won't agree to power off their smartphones due to many reasons, yet at the same time it can be rehearsed.

Solution 7.

Updating phone software may not ensure settling of the issue yet at the same time can do it.

Do not factory reset your phone, ghost screens are caused by external factors, don't let anyone deceive you to wipe your device

What makes a smartwatch a smart is being connected : either to your phone, or the internet, or both.

Watches are timekeeping devices however smartwatches are upgraded past timekeeping devices and are constitutive as smartphones. They can be referred to as mini PC with wireless technologies , gaming, navigation , thermometer, accelerometer, memory storage and so forth.

What kind of smartwatch would it be a good idea for me to get?

There are two kind of smartwatch around at the minute: those with a vivid touchscreen just like your phone, and those which joins a general simple watch with savvy features - we call them 'semi-smartwatches'.

They use generally realistic screens and keep running on mobile OS or a few mobile app. Smartwatches are progressing in the field of health with their features of heart rate checking and fitness tracker. Thus, in the event that you are planning on getting one, then here are couple of suggestions:

5. Motorola Moto 360 Sport

Available for under £200, the Motorola Moto 360 Game is extraordinary compared to other smartwatches for fitness.

You get the a portion of the standard 360 style in a design which is viable for exercises like running. The GPS tracking is precise yet it's a shame the same can't be said of the heart rate screen despite everything we discover the 'flat tire' on the screen a blemish. A strong exertion in any case, no-nonsense fitness fans may require something which is more top to bottom.

SPECS AND FEATURES

The center Moto 360 Sport specs coordinate to the non- fitness display (and other Android Wear gadgets). The blend of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 4GB of storage capacity and 512MB of RAM is extremely natural.

It's nothing unexpected that the watch runs easily in operation.

Watch case: 45mm diameter.

1.37-inch 360x325-pixel resolution display (263ppi)

1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor.

4GB of internal storage with 512MB of RAM.

300mAh battery with wireless charging.

Wi-Fi, optical heart-rate sensor, GPS, dual mics.

Motorola claims the "AnyLight" screen is the "world's first crossover screen". It implies that inside, you'll get the typical LCD display yet get outside for a run and the screen automatically changes to a black and white mode which reflects normal light.

4: Fossil Q Founder

There's absolutely no doubt the Fossil Q Founder is a well- made and attractive Android Wear smartwatch which comes in a great cost. The features on offer is great, albeit some may miss the heart rate monitor and GPS. As much as we cherish it, the level flat tire effect of the screen is a major disadvantage halting it from being truly extraordinary.

https://www.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/styles/xlarge/public/article_images/2017/02/lg-watch-sport-watch-style-press-renders.jpg?itok=bC3I0cZf

The LG Watch Style (worked in a joint effort with Google) offers everything that is expected from the best Android Wear smartwatches, removed the flat tire feature and fills in the hole with cool, useful features and a ton o style .

Roll that all up and you're left with an amazingly charming product that makes a compelling solid contention for Google's wearable platform. However there are some well-known wrinkles here.

Battery life is as yet a low point, and, as autonomous as Android Wear 2.0 cases to be, Google is still in the beginning of filling the new Play Store with perfect apps that are tempting enough to trouble with beside its own. The Style's appeal lies more in what it will be soon, as opposed to what it is at launch.

It offers the same amount of utility as earlier smartwatch endeavors, however ups the stake with a thin, dashing design and a few welcome features, similar to the voice actuated Google Assistant furthermore, a revived user interface that is loaded with sharp tweaks.

Version: Android 4.3+, iOS8.2+

Processor: Snapdragon Wear 2100

Internal memory : 4GB

Battery : Up to 24h

Charging technique: Conductive USB charger

2. Samsung Gear S3

In spite of a genuine absence of unique apps, the Samsung Gear S3 is extraordinary compared to other smartwatch choices available.

The natural controls and Super AMOLED screen from the Samsung Gear S2 are back in full frame here. Also, GPS makes its presentation on the Gear S3.

While its look is more official than the Gear S2, it shakes an IP68-protected look and can last to 3 days of use before requiring a charge.

Samsung as of late made the Gear S3 (and Gear S2, so far as that is concerned) compatible on iOS. Along these lines, in case you're searching for a more conventional looking option to the Apple Watch, you may have discovered your match.

https://images.hngn.com/data/images/full/234982/apple-watch-2-gif.gif?w=570

The Apple Watch 2 is the best smartwatch you can purchase at the present time. It's water-resistant, which implies it's more solid than the vast majority of alternate gadgets on this list and you won't need to stress over getting it wet in the rain when you're out for a run.

There's GPS locally available to make running that tiny bit less demanding in addition to it comes running the most current watch OS 3 programing.
Design astute it's looking fundamentally the same as the first Apple Watch. however, the Apple Watch 2 is expensive.

On the off chance that you already own an Apple Watch, the Apple Watch 2 may not be a justified upgrade, but rather there are a couple of strong changes that mean it merits spending that bit additional if this is your first wearable from Apple.

Nice 1 op

Op please change the font colour.

Done

The South Korean organization is no ifs ands or buts the most prevalent smartphone manufacturer on the planet however it is moreover included in different divisions: flying, TVs and numerous others. As you can envision, the more ventures that they are included in, the more stories we need to tell, and some are truly rather entertaining

https://cdn02.androidauthority.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/samsung-logo-x-x-mwc-2015-1-840x473.jpg

The organization was set up in 1938 under the name "Samsung Sanghoe" and had no claim as it delivered and sold noodles. Numerous years after that, it ended up plainly one of the biggest combinations in the nation, stretching out into other item divisions (Samsung Electronics being the most prominent). With right around 80 years in business, you would presume that it had a considerable measure of encounters.

1. Samsung started as a noodles company
Yup, it actually started as a noodles company but diversified.

2. The name itself was bound for victory

You likely realize that brand names are never picked unintentionally, whatever the nationality of the business.

While the American organization Nike was roused by the Greek goddess Niké (Goddess of Victory) to show their craving to break into the market, "Samsung" is a blend of : Sam (three) and Sung (stars).

From a western perspective, we have the inclination to connect stars with progress. In Korea, it's a little more muddled than that as the stars are references to three divine Chinese Gods (this idea had been imported to Korea) who speak to transcendence, fortunes and life span.

https://cdn01.androidauthority.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/noodle-days-e1456935787911.jpg

3. The marketing budget plan is huge

Samsung owes its fame to a few components. On one hand, it was available at the introduction of smartphones also, prevailing with regards to picking up a faithful customer base, driving a huge number of them towards their mid-go, or to be sure top of the line, items. Then again, Samsung put immensely into marketing/ attention. You've presumably as of now observed publications at bus stops or a TV advertisement.

We realize that Samsung contributed huge sums of cash into Research and Development (more than 14 billion dollars in 2015) The marketing spending plan is additionally incredible.

Coming in at 3.3 billion out of 2016 which put Samsung in the best 20 biggest spending plans, just after Nike. Out of all the huge names in the smartphone world, just Sony has a bigger spending plan (3.7 billion dollars).

4. The CEO says it how it is

Samsung's notoriety toward the end of the last century was like Chinese Smartphones of today: Quantity over quality. Lee Kun-hee invented some notorious phrases like "Change everything except your wife and children". Things enormously enhanced, especially inside Samsung Electronics.

In 1995, he was so exasperated by the absence of value in mobile phones that he set fire to billions of gadgets before the workers who were accumulated particularly for the scene.

https://cdn01.androidauthority.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Lee_Kun-hee.jpg

5. Samsung was in charge of the development of the biggest landmarks on the planet

Have you known about the Burj Khalifa tower? It can be found in Dubai and is exactly the biggest structure at any point built by man, 828 meters tall.

Do you know who developed this tower? Yes, it was Samsung.

Obviously, it wasn't Samsung Electronics but Samsung C&T Corporation, a branch of Samsung that are into fashion, business and development. As you can envision, it was an enormous venture for the Korean monster, particularly because it needed to a great extent work with others, however it ought to be pleased with the outcome.

https://cdn04.androidauthority.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Burj-Khalifa-840x473.jpeg

6. Samsung makes parts for Apple

Samsung uses its experience to help some other organizations, specifically, its greatest rival: Apple.

Regardless of two goliaths being in coordinate rivalry, it doesn't prevent them from cooperating. Samsung produces SSDs for Macs and a group additionally takes care of assembling Retina screens for iPads, according to Bloomberg. Apple's isn't exactly straightforward when trying to acquire the exact, solid story, yet it's conceivable that Samsung still produces different segments for its adversary.

All things considered, Samsung Mobile just brings in about 30% of Samsung Electronics' income, so there's no hurt in expanding to procure some more cash.

7. Samsung is comprised of around 80 organizations and representatives as well as more than 370,000 individuals.

While some of you may definitely know this, Samsung is far something other than a gadgets and mobile maker. The Samsung Group has 59 unlisted organizations and 19 listed, all of which have their essential postings on the Korea trade. These organizations extend from construction to financial services, ship building, and even therapeutic. As specified above, the organization utilize uses than 370,000 individuals, and crosswise over 80 nations, including Korea.

8: Samsung made the First CDMA phone

https://cdn02.androidauthority.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/sch-100-840x495.jpg

The Samsung SCH-100 was discharged back in 1996, making it the first phone to use CDMA technology. By and large, being the first to use a standard that many see as prohibitive and mediocre compared to GSM most likely isn't quite a big deal now right? , yet at the time, CDMA was another technology and – in the prior days quick 4G/LTE technology – really had some genuine focal points over GSM.

This won't not be the situation any longer, but rather Samsung still merits a few props for its readiness to attempt another standard.

9. Samsung manufactured the First watch phone

phone advertise really starts considerably prior – back in 1999. Samsung was the primary pioneer, and one of the main ones since, to make a watch that served as a phone. This device was named the Samsung SPH-WP10.

This exceptional watch phone couldn't just tell time, it likewise could make phone calls for up to 90 minutes. From that point onward, the battery would be drained and you'd need to keep running over to a charger.

The screen was of the illuminated monochrome LCD, and there were physical buttons for navigating around the menu. There were even voice commands for dialing your contacts.

Of course, the gadget wasn't very successful , yet it is intriguing to realize that Samsung's savvy making days really started before the Nokias.

Also, Samsung was one of the first to bounce into the smartphone game, some time before Android and iOS.
