US never denied downing the plane rather, they admitted and explained the reasons why it was downed. The radioed the pilot several times and he refused to identify itself. Diplomacy is not cowardice. The said general did his own secretly, he should have been dealt with in the same manner without turning public opinion against the US.

I like Trump, but this strike on another country’s serving military general was ill advised no matter the reason given. If he had to be taken out, it could have been done with plausible deniability through any of the US black ops divisions.
