Zeze06: Some enemies are very powerful, you can't go to them, you have to let them come to you... It is called wisdom.. You have a point. But in this case, it would have been nice to see Fayose face Buhari eye to eye. He can even decide not to shake Bubu's hand just to prove his point. "I no send you". That would have given him " Big Boss" status. Imagine the news headlines. |

His hatred for buhari is not hidden, I admire his bravery... Actually, he is a coward. A brave man would have gone to confront his enemy, just to let him know "guy, I no fear you. I don show". |

NeeKlaus: Porto and Inter Milan, Bruh. Porto and Inter Milan. I know bro. Just trying to point out that Porto at that time were way way outsiders. You can still argue that Inter was a strong Series A club. |

Sanchez01: This belongs to you;
Well, that's not the point. My problem with Mourinho is that he has no respect for players and he's a very bias manager. I hope you're aware of what he did to Javier Zanetti at Inter before his departure? He tried same with Pepe, Ramos and Ronaldo and was burnt.
Do we talk about what he did to Juan Mata both at Chelsea and Man U? Or should we just talk about the many disgrace he served a legend as Bastian Schweinsteiger? Mourinho is more of a destroyer than a builder.
I am result driven person. You win a match, then the celebration is temporary. The orgasmic feeling comes from lifting trophies for me. Mediocrity is not even Madrid fondles. For every player you mentioned here, there are others who Mourinho turned into big names. Being a result driven person you should know that some times you need to lay aside sentiments. I'm not a fan of Mourinho's controversial side or his methods, but I cannot question the competence of a man who has been so successful. He has consistently gotten results. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: UEFA Champions League Draw On 24th August 2017 by dabossman(m): 7:30pm On Aug 24, 2017 |
Sanchez01: You must be an Arsenal fan to think a club as prestigious as Real Madrid would go on celebrating in the streets for making the Semi finals.
Fabio Capello wọn the La Liga for Real in 2006 but his head was never spared. Why? Because he failed at the European level.
Bernd Schuster, Juande Ramos, Manuel Pellegrini, Carlo Ancelotti and even Mourinho would have been spared and overlooked if we were a club who doesn't prioritise European trophies.
By the way, may I ask how you arrived at the fallacious claim about Madrid fans not liking Mourinho? Sorry, not an Arsenal fan. *spits in the gutter*. And I didn't say Madrid, I said you personally. On that night when you won your quarter final match and progressed to the semis under Mourinho after 6 years of Round of 16 heartbreak. Did you not celebrate? It is also common knowledge that Mourinho is not exactly a beloved Madrid manager. His was a love-hate relationship with the club and many of its fans. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: UEFA Champions League Draw On 24th August 2017 by dabossman(m): 6:48pm On Aug 24, 2017 |
Sanchez01: I know full well but when a coach celebrate appearances rather than trophies, then you know there is a problem. True, Mourinho delivered us from the clutches of Lyon but that was just about the best he could do.
We signed him from Inter Milan to replicate their success and not have us qualify for semi-finals with a star-studded team. Should I also mention our horrible style of play under Mourinho? Ah, now I see your angst. You are a Madrid fan. Madrid fans will always be bitter towards Mourinho and his Bernabau reign, so no point having this discussion. But you can never deny the fact that he brought you guys out of a long draught of hopelessness. Tell me you didn't celebrate when you got to those semifinals. |

"the advantages are just numerous. "coutinho should leave boring city liverpool and come to 1st class city barcelona. Of course. And end up like Fabregas, Vermaleen or worse, Alex Song. |

Sanchez01: Care to share the names of the players he won the UCL league with in Porto?
If we are to take that into account, then it is safe to brand him a failure because he coached one of the strongest sides in modern day football but failed to win the Champions League with Real. You obviously missed the point that he took Real to two consecutive UCL semifinals. These were their first semifinal appearances after 6 consecutive years of being eliminated in the round of 16. When Mou took over at Madrid, they were far from being one of the strongest sides in Spain, not to talk of Europe. I think I prefer that kind of failure. It's way better than Wenger's type. Sorry Mukina. obonujoker: Can we also say Pep guardiola is a failure too.. coz he won Nada with Bayern... mourinho won it with Porto and inter... nothing to prove again |

Oildichotomy: Did you put the Nigerian situation into context with your statement?
Oil & Gas money comes so easy that it becomes a herculean task diversifying to other sectors. Isn't that so obvious the last 50 years already?
Until we scrap or probably soft-pedal on developments in that sector. We will end up deceiving ourselves about some hoax diversify. That draconian measure is so needed for any headway.. #MyThoughts Bro, until the other areas you are trying to diversify into have a strong footing you can't kill or starve the goose that is laying the golden egg. What do you think is funding the diversification process? All the money CBN says it is pumping into Agriculture, Manufacturing etc, where do you think it is coming from? Besides, Yoruba's have a saying that when a child sees honey, he throws his beancake (akara) away. When an adult sees honey, he enjoys both the honey and the beancake together. |

So, who would you invite. NPFL players since the local league is still on? Or a there Nigerian players in Europe who are playing regularly in top leagues around the world that no one knows of? |

Matic has really brought some stability to that midfield just like paul scholes did.. GGMU!!!! He seems to be more effective coming on. That may be because opposing defenders are tiring and he can overwhelm them with his pace and technique. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it in my opinion. |

majekdom2: Real entrepreneurs don't talk down paid jobs because that's part of what they create. It is part of the value entrepreneurs create for the society. Any "entrepreneur" that talks down paid jobs/employees is a RAT and in Misery... check well. The enterprise isn't delivering any value, thus they talk down jobs to make themselves feel good. You need good employees to drive your business if not it will fail. Human resources just like others is key in any business training. You can tell obviously that people who talk down jobs are not entrepreneurs in the real sense. Exactly. Many of them are only CEO's on Facebook. Self employed at self employed. True entrepreneurs know the real value of a worthy paid employee. |
