@bolded: Not always bruv. I know someone employed in a bank who had an accident in which he broke a few bones. Couldn't come to work for 5 months. His company didn't sack him but showed support. When he recovered fully he went back to work.

Come to think of it, if your company which you had served for a number of years were to fire you just because you were seriously ill for 2-3 months, I bet you'd call them a bunch of ingrates.

In the game of politics you dont look at the relevance of some ppl but who appointed them and who their backers are. Bayo na buhari boy and he was removed without the president approval. Like I said, I'm not knocking your premise. Yes Bayo may have been removed while the President was ill, and it may be because of many reasons we don't know about. Once they are in private, they will brief the President about why he is no longer there.

In truth, Buhari didn't bring Bayo into his team personally. His election campaign team did. Yes, Buhari may have taken a liking to the young man, hence the reason he asked after him, but his "removal" doesn't necessarily mean he is not in charge.

I would have been more alarmed if the President had asked "where is Babachir Lawal?"

While not trying to pick bones with your assertion, Bayo is just a photographer in the Presidency. He is not a service chief or a minister. Even the SGF can fire Bayo. It's like firing the cook or valet.

Even in corporate organizations, there are people that can be fired by HR if the MD is on vacation or indisposed without his express approval. A senior manager or ED can sign on his behalf. These are systemic processes.

Most times an entire season is shot within 3-4 weeks. So, that's like getting 150k for a month's job with feeding and accommodation sometimes included.

It can be a whole lot better though.

This Segun Adeniyi's book may end up being more of bad PR for GEJ than anything else. The book is just exposing a lot of his frailties and lack of political intelligence. It was clear to anyone with any understanding of politics that the former President was being set up to fail by his own people,either intentionally or otherwise.

1. The PDP became fragmented as GEJ sought to pursue his 2nd term bid. Many powerbrokers in the North had grudgingly supported him in 2011even when they felt they had not completed their 8 year turn at power after the death of Yar Adua. GEJ running again in 2015 was not going to sit well with them. And the party broke down with the 16 is greater than 19 Governor's Forum elections.

2. GEJ broke off strong alliances that helped him secure the seat in 2011, chief of all being his rift with OBJ. He allowed the sycophants around him to make him believe in his own pseudo-hype. Even when it was obvious to most people, save his die-hard supporters,that majority of Nigerians were not happy with him, these snakes that surrounded him told him lies,which he was gullible to buy into. Many of them where just after filling their pockets with loot. Hence the millions of campaign funds many of them kept for themselves.

3. His electoral media campaign was a disaster too. FFK and Doyin Okupe did a terrible job. They spent billions trying to de-market Buhari with all sorts of documentaries, when they should have spent those resources extolling the achievements of GEJ. They made Buhari even more popular than the incumbent in the run up to the elections.

David Mark has not said anything new. The real mind-boggling question is how GEJ did not see clearly that he was being played. And that is exactly why many lost confidence in him. He never seemed to be in charge. He only went with the flow.

If you follow developments, so called economists had pressured Mr. Buhari when he refused to float the Naira. When CBN eventually experimented with the naira float, the economy was torn to shreds and benefited only the criminals. I hope CBN is wiser now, no should mean no.

Here's someone who remembers events clearly and doesn't suffer from the usually Nigerian collective amnesia.
