See nice camera shot. |
canalily: wen messi have tried. Who is aguero?Aguero is the guy who drinks Extra Joss with Yaya Toure. Real men drink EXTRA JOSS! |
Calebosko: somebody told me mikel was a snail, but d Germans are more like a milipeed, dats class......sometimes footbal is more dan run run, mikel was class. You sure say you wear your glasses so? |
FACT: Ahmed Musa was the last player to bridge the Argentine defence, and he did so twice. #letsgogermany |
This is Brazil's worst nightmare in the making. An Argentine world cup win at the Maracana will be too much to bear. Well, Germany may save their blushes. |
It's all over o! Argies win! |
Sneijder o! |
Robben scores. Garay scores! 2-1. Advantage Argies. |
Terrible from Vlaar. Messi scores easily. |

Sadly, there will be no Tim Krul cameo tonight. |

Raptureminded: yepa petrol dan finish ooo. Ah. I beg wen its 10 min 2 go somebody sud wake me up oo. I wan rest smallNo worry, I go pour you cold water when match finish. E fit be hot water if Holland lose sha. |
shymexx: Uneventful and boring = best football match, no?You're so on point. It's just too cagey for my liking. I'm almost tempted to turn to my Football Manager game. Guess both sides are afraid of experiencing the Brazilian humiliation. |
Looks like it will take a moment of magic or madness to win this game. Robben almost had it. Here we go fo extra-time. |
toluleke: .i just pray his children won't grow to end up in becoming calamity yobo like him....na d holiday dey him eye na y he perform like madman....make dem no make their papa their mentor na messi mk dem watchNo disrespect to your pops, I'm sure he is a stand-up guy, but did he ever take you to Disneyland? Yobo's kids have every right to be proud of their dad. He has achieved a lot in football. |
Thunder fire anybody wey mention Mikel, Yobo or Keshi this night. Today, it's all about the humiliation of Brazil! Chai, but why? |
This Argentine team has been largely uninspiring in my opinion. Just wumbling and fumbling through by the odd goal. They just haven't lived up to all the hype. |
Commentator: France were unconvincing in the 2-nil win over Nigeria. |
Shy Dare: We av some1 who has delivered & we wnt 2 replace im. Can't we have a coach 4 5 or 8 yrs 4 d sake of stability ? If oliseh is so gud let im go & win a major trophy somewhr. Rather dan dis daft NFA 2 develop better youth programmes dat wil produce technically sound players (players who can deliver perfect corner kicks, crosses, & free kicks. Players with immaculate passing & ball winning abilities) they r negotiating with carlos queiroz & talkin about oliseh. Sad truth is dat we av technically deficient players, keshi no doubt needs assistants-we nid an opposition scout/monitor and a gud tactical trainer. Keshi is still d man 4 d job, we just nid 2bring in kelechi iheneacho, yaya etc 2replace mikel & moses. Local lads should also come in into our midfield. Our slow & inept midfield contributed 2our exit.God will bless you for the bolded. Nigerians think it is the job of the Senior national team coach to teach grown a$$ men like Musa, Osaze, Mikel, Emenike and other players how to play corners and free kicks, or how to have good positioning offensively and defensively. These are things you learn at U12-U14 level. Even Okocha alluded to this on Supersports when he said what most European kids know about football at age 10, African kids don't learn until they are 17 or 18. There is no tactical play you can carry out as a coach if you don't have players with the technical ability to execute them. |
brownlord: Very true, but since both of them don't follow keshi to Brazil and they left their football sense with their girlfriend or wife, why dint keshi do what a sensible coach with do, mikel played nonsense all through the game, the annoying thing is he could not proven pick injury that's why I'm angry, Someone need to be benching mikel seriously, he's getting too comfortable in the teamLol, well, maybe Keshi thought his game would pick up eventually. Balotelli scored for Italy in their first game and was largely anonymous afterwards, but he started Italy's games. Besides, who on the bench could have replaced Mikel? We saw Ramon Azeez against Iran and Uchebo against Argentina. Remember the USA friendly? Mikel was subbed and the middle fell apart. Mikel had the opportunity to sell himself on the World stage and he failed woefully. |
lloydtruth: "We have made our position known to Keshi two year deal with certain clauses accept it or leave it,we can't beg him or persuade him because he is not doing it for free, he gets paid for his job and if the conditions are not favourable to him we have options and Oliseh is our top choice."Point of correction, he gets owed for several months to do his job. |
na wa ooo so you people think Keshi will build NEW team. Ok na come AFCON 2015, under Keshi, Mikel will still be playing 90 mins for eagles after sitting on the bench the whole season at Chelsea
And you know this because you googled it, or your Ifa priest told you so? |
brownlord: What is the similarity btw mikel and Emunike? Between Moses is now useless and I see no reason why he was included in our game against France. As for mikel he was playing against us at the World Cup.Be honest with yourself Brownlord. Before this World Cup, if anyone asked you to name a starting 11 for Nigeria, will Mikel and Moses not have been on that list? Again, be honest. |
tuffgongjo: .u didn't,portugal best finish is 3rd place in1966,queiroz's best claim to Glory is been SAF assistant,he failed @ Madrid, portugal just to mention a little.his best record @ d WC is getting portugal to d round of 16.so how is he better than Keshi?Er, I was being sarcastic. |
tuffgongjo: .please is it the same Queiroz that I know?Yes the same one that coached South Africa and Portugal to win the World Cup. Er, did I get that right? |
MEILYN: I dont think you understand football. You only know history. Coaches win games for their teams in the worldcup, if only Keshi was gøod tactically, we would have won France. We were better than them in that match. Keshi tried, he is good but not on the world stage. Understanding football is not about knowing how many trophies or how many countries Keshi coached, it is about analyzing the game on the pitch.I agree with you on the bolded. If only Del Bosque was tactically good, Spain would have defeated Holland and Chile. Afterall, understanding football is not about knowing how many trophies Del Bosque won too. Lord save us from this coaches who are not tactically good but win trophies. Infact, if Prandelli was tactically good, Italy should have defeated lowly Costa Rica too. |
brownlord: When i was thinking NFF would arrest him for playing 10 men against 11 in all our world cup games. Before the World Cup, tell me you didn't have Mikel on your own personal list for the World Cup. Mikel, Moses and Emenike were pivotal to our winning AFCON 2013. when Emenike and Moses didn't attend the Confederations Cup, many of you said we didn't do well in their absence. Now they didn't perform at the World Cup and you are all complaining. |
chibwike: and you can put into considerations the teams they played with in the group stages and compare that to nigeria's opponents....before saying Keshi achieved more than their coaches.Did Keshi conduct the World Cup draws? Mexico had Croatia and Cameroun in their group. Is Croatia any different from Bosnia? Before the World Cup started folks like you said we would be annihilated with goals by Argentina and that Bosnia would tear us apart. Go and look at predictions by global pundits before the World Cup. It was Argentina and Bosnia that were favoured to go through. I see folks like you hyping Algeria, Ghana and Ivory Coast as having played well just because they play fast-paced football that achieved no meaningful results and I laugh. |
