chibwike: lets take a look at teams likeChile, Mexico and Algeria all crashed out in the 2nd round. Did their coaches achieve more than Keshi at this World Cup? Costa Rica is on a fairy tale run. That doesn't mean their coach can suddenly start coaching Barcelona or Real Madrid. I bet you don't even know his name off-hand. |
OP, you make me laugh. Several folks have said a lot already, so I won't bother repeating the same thing. All I will say is let the FA appoint the guys you've touted as Messiahs for our football. 2-4 years from now, we'll come back and reappraise the situation. This was how folks like you clamoured for Siasia after his U20 and Olympic feats, but just one screw up and you lot confined him to the trash can. Now you are doing the same to Keshi who has even achieved more. Issorai, it's the Nigerian way! We usually leave our adulation for when our heroes die. |
Oahray: Are you sure you watched the match? If Enyeama didn't come out for the ball, there were french heads near the post. They would easily have nodded in, cos no Super Eagles defender bothered jumping. Then we'd blame him for not taking chances. Enyeama knew that, and his only mistake in that goal was not punching far enough.Bro, you need to consider the trajectory of the ball. The ball was always going to drop behind Yobo. No amounting of jumping would have got him to it. And Yobo wasn't exactly standing beside Pogba. They were at least two paces apart. By the time Yobo turned to face Pogba the ball was already half-way into the net. No one is blaming Enyeama, but the truth is he made a costly mistake. Sh*t happens.
|
Oahray: True. Osaze goofed there. However, Yobo gifted Pogba with a free header for the first goal. He could at least have jumped. Instead he watched on like a spectator.Enyeama parried the ball beyond Yobo and onto Pogba's head. If Enyeama had missed the ball completely and Yobo didn't jump to clear it, then I would blame Yobo. Besides, Yobo did well overall at this tournament and I was one of those who kicked against his inclusion in the team. |
obayaya: Yeah!!Don't mind those blaming Yobo. his performance in this tournament since we lost Oboabona impressed me greatly. The ball deflected of him, but yes, Osaze caused the needless corner kick from a ball that was going out for a throw-in. |
obayaya: That's the indiscipline and larger than life attitude we are talking about.Woah, dude calm down. Yes it hurts but it's just a game. The team tried considering it really had no depth. |
Hate him or love him, Keshi has equaled the achievements of the much celebrated Clemens Westerhof and his 94 squad. Won Nations Cup and got to the 2nd round of the World Cup with a rag-tag team. |
obayaya: I'm blaming Osaze for that second goal!!!Osaze's defensive dribbles were certainly unnecessary. It's all good though! |
It's all over. The team tried in my opinion. Achieved more than I expected. #teamsupereaglesnomatterwhat |
NOOOOOOOOOOO! |
I think Joseph Yobo has justified his inclusion in the team. I congratulate on his 100th cap. JosephYobo100caps
101! |
Rueben Gabriel? Well, let's watch and see. |
Mikel will be the death of this team. |

superstar1: This is the news page of senate. http://www.nassnig.org/nass/news.phpDon't mind these jokers. I first saw this very CV last night on Sahara Reporters. And the contentious M.Sc was conspicuously missing even though it is mentioned on her website. The OP is just trying to mislead us abeg. http://saharareporters.com/news-page/official-cv-stella-oduah-confirms-she-never-obtained-masters%E2%80%99-degree-us |
crisycent: With all this plenty plenty wahala, the total money involved is not even upto one million pounds...laff wan tear my belleKeep laughing o. Mind you it's over a million dollars and over a million euros. And that for a young Nigerian player bought from an academy, not the professional league. |
fijiano202: Chai see how this young Champ end his Career, well he will get to hear and learn from Sinclair,Rodwell,Lescott,Guidetti,Micah Richards and co,He will sit in Reserves until he grows white hair.I remember the same thing was said about Mikel when he chose Chelsea over Man Utd (I'm a United fan by the way). Nigerians (except Chelsea fans of course) felt at United he stood a better chance of first team football because United needed a creative player to replace Scholes. But the same Mikel has played in the Chelsea first team under different managers since then. In another 2-3 years who says Iheanacho can't grow to become a key player or a first team player at City. And even if he doesn't another big team may come for him. Was Paul Pogba not at United for many years without playing first team football before Juventus came for him? Even Thiago Alcantara was not a first team player at Barca, but Guardiola still went for him after he moved to Bayern. |
dearbunny: This is another episode of super story from wale adenuga productionWe are nothing but pencils in the hand of the OP ![]() |
Hhm OP, dem say na from clap dance dey start. ![]() Truth is you guys are into each other. It's only a matter of time before the kissing and the s.ex follows. Stop wasting your respective partners time. The flip side though, is that once you cross that constantly fading thin line of friendship, it may just end up ruining everything..., and then you just might have your happily ever after. |
eGuerrilla: So SaharaReporters was not 'tribal' when it presented the following articles? The same Sahara Reporters reported this on Tinubu and they were not selective then o! http://saharareporters.com/news-page/corruption-code-conduct-bureau-serves-summons-acn-chieftain-bola-tinubu http://saharareporters.com/column/bola-tinubu%E2%80%99s-%E2%80%9Cmillions-pounds%E2%80%9D-bid-buy-mimiko-ogaga-ifowodo |
In as much as stella odua is a complete shame to the presidncy and the country as a whole, I put much blame on the national assembly. We should ask what kind of people we have in the Nass that not a single one of them would have known that U.S colleges don't offer masters degree. That's why on a thread earlier on I was adovacating for brilliannt mind like fashola in the senate because I bet someone like fashola would have immediately noted that during her screening
Have you watched their sessions when they are interviewing ministerial nominees? They often ask the nominee to take a bow of personal recognition and go, or they ask some few, near irrelevant questions and ask the person to go. They are all same of the same. |
Omen100: End time editing of profilesAs in... It's her personal website that tripped me the most. All of a sudden, the tab that will link to "HER HISTORY" isn't working, while others are functional. Naija, I hail thee. |

kobikwelu: While the jokes are funny....i am shocked as to the evolving power of social media in Nigeria....Not every issue has a funny side you know. Can I come out and crack a joke about a baby with a hole in the heart? Can any of our comedians come and crack a joke about the conditions of the little girl, baby Summaya in the MTN advert without it being considered crude? Can we crack a joke about the victims of the Dana air cash? Not the government, not the airline, but the victims who died in that crash. Is there a funny side to their death? |
naijacutee: It is not a harmless joke, and people do not have a vendetta against him. It is not "bad belle" either. The real reason people are asking for his contract to be terminated is that as a brand ambassador, he is a role model and is being paid for people to promote the brand in a positive light. By making such a crass joke, he is insinuating that he is justifying rape in certain circumstances (we know that this may not be the case as he has a mother and a sister), but as a public figure, this is not the correct message to be sending.I'm not even interested in GLO or anyone terminating his contract. I'm just saying there are things a celebrity should not be saying, period. If i have a personal quarrel with the Edo State widow, I could as well tell her, "abeg, go and die" and it wouldn't even matter. Even my friends will applaud me for telling her off. However, when a Governor like Oshiomole opens his mouth to say the same words to the same widow it becomes crude and inappropriate and is quickly a news item which many will condemn. Still can't understand why some peeps just don't get that. |
MsSantaClaus: It was a joke in bad taste, Justine Sacco also made a joke , everyone was up in arms about it, I'm sure even you, if you were aware, Senator Cruise also made a comment about Nigerian Yahoo boys and Obama, why didn't we laugh at that? What about the Oga at the Top saga? None of these comments are anywhere as bad as Molestation , which is a crime in and of itself.Eh, dear don't waste your energy on aux409. He'll never get it in a million years. |
neyobillz: If this joke was about OBJ's looks ,all those blaming BM would have had their dirty cavities wide open for a good laugh,OBJ who is probably older than most of then and their fada join, abi shey no be person born am,even while he was the C in C,he never cried out foul, now that its about rape, una dey para,Rape has been in existence since they old testament days, abi na bright invent am,BTW he didnt justify rape in this joke, its been happening in our society for ages even before BM was born,If 9ja ladies continue with their oshofree attitude, then such scenarios wont stop happening, its just a moral lesson for guys and ladies but obviously some people arent smart enough to get this, like the Yoruba's would say(I love my Yoruba language cos they have an adage for every situation in life)Ibi ere lati n mo ooto oro(Its through jokes that we learn the bitter thruth) and BTW a joke is always a jokeThe difference is if your friend jokes about your looks and stuff, you'll probably laugh and yab him back, or it may hurt your feelings. If he jokingly says, "this your sister wey dey form sef, I go grab am one dey, r.ape am mercilessly", you probably wouldn't be smiling, joke or no joke. R.ape doesn't just hurt peoples feelings, it breaks their souls. |
E3 audience offended by "rape joke" at Microsoft Xbox One event Microsoft had a splashy showing of next-generation Xbox One hardware and games at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) on Monday that included Bill Gates, Steven Spielberg and ...a rape joke? During a demonstration of "Killer Instinct" a male producer of the game was matched up against a woman, who appeared to be bad at playing video games. The Atlantic Wire described that the woman is "playing a video game like a girl" -- suggesting that the scenario was set up to perpetuate a stereotype that women are not serious gamers. "I can't even block correctly, and you're too fast," she says. "Here we go. Just let it happen. It'll be over soon," he says. The audience laughs at the remark that many have been interpreted as a rape joke. The banter continues between the two, further adding fuel to the allegations that the joke mimicked a sexual assault scenario. "You have a fight stick," she says. "Wow, you like those," he says. "No, I don't like this," she says. On Twitter, the audience reacted right away. "Wow. This is really gross. Male overpowering a female in a game, so of course, rape joke. Good one, Msoft," @Vahn16 tweeted. "Oh my god. One of the people just made a rape joke onstage and the audience actually liked it. That's sick," @IatosHaunted tweeted. "Even if it was unintentional, Microsoft should've realized they shouldn't make a rape joke in an environment already toxic with misogyny," @stillgray tweeted. "Let's bring a woman on stage and joke about how she's bad at games, and say stuff like 'relax, just let it happen, it'll be over soon'??" @Jonathan_Blow tweeted. "Killer Instinct" is produced by Rare Ltd., which is a subsidiary of Microsoft Studios. Some alleged that the demo was scripted, but those claims were shot down by Microsoft. A spokesperson for the company released this statement to CBSNews.com: "The comments in question during the 'Killer Instinct' demo were not scripted. The demo was meant to include friendly gameplay banter, and there was no ill intent." Microsoft later apologized for the behavior of its employee and issued this statement from Microsoft Studios corporate vice president Phil Spencer: "Yesterday, during the Xbox E3 briefing, one of our employees made an off the cuff and inappropriate comment while demoing 'Killer Instinct' with another employee. This comment was offensive and we apologize. At Microsoft, being open and respectful with others is central to our code of conduct and our values. Bullying and harassment of any kind is not condoned and is taken very seriously. We remain committed to make gaming fun for everyone, and in that effort, we must lead by example." The games industry has grappled with sexism for years, even as the gender gap closes. According to the Entertainment Software Association, about 47 percent of gamers are women.
