cutievik: See why we shouldn't be quick to ridicule and insult?!! When the crash that killed the COAS happened, somebody here stated that this accident occurred and was roundly shouted down. Now that there is proof, I hope the rapid fire to insult brigade will also be rapid with their apology. It's largely reaction to news without investigation from both citizens and Government that has put Nigeria in the position she is in today. 2 Likes |

Stephandesward: Regardless of who fired the fatal bullet; the number one job of government, whether local, state or federal is to provide security in the governed space. Clearly they are failing if the state is embroiled in daily gun battles. That my brother is why I blame the Army and their civilian bosses. 1 Like |

Sizzorkay: Data source 1: My own experiences. I lived in the United Kingdom for 6 years of my adult life. For school and work. Typically, if I met 10 Nigerians, 4 are Igbo, 3 are Yoruba, 2 are SouthSouth/other regions and a lone Hausa/Fulani man. In certain environments sef, na only Igbos and Yorubas you go see! No Hausa/Fulani or other tribes. P.S Being the melting pot of the world, London had and still has every shape, size and tribe of Nigerian. Thus, my analysis applies to everywhere outside of London and the M25 belt. Dataset 2: This link confirms the preponderance of Igbos in the Nigerian diaspora in Dallas, Texas. https://www.pilotguides.com/study-guides/the-nigerian-diaspora/ Dataset 3: This article perfectly illustrates my point. Igbos, Yorubas, even Igbos and Yorubas marrying themselves and a lone South South lady. But not a single Hausa name. https://www.ozy.com/around-the-world/the-most-successful-ethnic-group-in-the-u-s-may-surprise-you/86885/ My time is expensive so if you need more data to validate or invalidate my point you can Google away, or pay my research fees. With these few points, I hope you can see I wasn't just talking outta my arse! 7 Likes |

GeneralFarouq: Excuse me sir, so why hasn't the FG gone full apeshit war mode in the NE? After all BH/ISWA have clearly stated, and acted on, their intention to create a Caliphate out of that region. IPOB/ESN/UGM (whom I don't support) haven't done 10% of ISWA/BH's doings and FG is singing war songs. So why won't people deem the happenings in the Southeast unfair? 1 Like |

Daverytimes: The diaspora and the access to finance that were not there in '67 for me are the scariest. Without finance and a large diaspora, the "rebels" in the East held the FG, which had unprecedented Cold War support (US, UK, Israel, Egypt and Soviet),for 30 very bloody months. Presently the diaspora contribute US$25 billion a year as at 2018/19 to Nigeria. And truth be told majority of them are Igbo. FG needs to calm the hell down and use brain, not gun for this. For context, Buhari was a Major in '67 in the heat of the battle. Today, he is a Major General who has been retired for over 30 years. I expect far more wisdom and tact than what is presently being done by the FG, seeing as old soldiers are supposed to be wise. 1 Like |

The issue in Iseyin is a recurring decimal that I am aware of for a few years now. This is despite not being from the area. It also happens that a current Senator who is either a retired ACG or DCG in Customs has warned the Service on the floor, in camera, even this year, to stop raiding markets and operating more than 40km from the border. Disobedience, lawlessness, high handedness, corruption (sharing the spoils of the raid), misuse of official firearms, insufficient support from HQ (National or FOU as applies), insufficient manpower and a total misinterpretation of their role by the existing field officers are some of the reasons why stories like this are daily news. 1 Like |

jpphilips: You need help, for real. If someone triggered a process are they not automatically a key stakeholder in it? Will they allow said process to fail or not favour them? Either as individuals or as a collective You call me senseless, I sabi you before? If not for this thread our paths go cross? I don't know what kind of condition you suffer from neither do I claim to be a health professional, but clearly you need a mental health intervention if everyone is always wrong and only you are always right. Go and get that help before it's too late bro or sis (as applies). This will be my last reply to a obviously abnormal fellow. 1 Like |

jpphilips: You know oga, on this thread na only you get unfilthy hole! Small thing you go begin lob insults dey tell person say dem no get sense. Unfortunately this shows just the kind of person you are. I'm not gonna exchange words with you but in the name of God, stop insulting everybody you interact with here. Back to topic, I am very aware of the CDCC and a lot of the things that happened back then which produced the constitution, and ultimately the OBJ Government. Still doesn't change the fact that the constitution writing process was kicked off by the military. Which made them bigger stakeholders in the process, and the final result, than they should have been under normal circumstances. I hope you are clear now. 2 Likes |

shogsman: All points noted. However, like I asked before, if na your pikin how e go be you? There is also something called natural justice, which is why most courts in the world recognise crimes of passion. This can arguably be defined as one, if at all it is to be tagged a criminal offence. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Can I Consider Gambling As A Workplace?? by DaddyGoo: 1:16pm On May 19, 2021 |
Gambling is like hard drugs....... you feel like a winner till you realize you been loosing all along. Plus it's the only "business" that actively encourages you to destroy your capital. Bros, abeg take the money wey you don win so far go open real business, even if na small shop. The gods of gambling are not forever generous! If they decide to collect, the interest alone they will collect go pass all your winnings. A word is enough for the wise! 57 Likes 2 Shares |

Tied up, soaked in kerosene and then set a pre teen child on fire because some stupid mind told you she is a witch. My Ordinary President no even slap am reach! If na your pikin dem roast like BBQ , how e go be you for body? As for the oversabi BBC cameraman and crew that released the video, 600 years to una!! I hope as you have done this, you are ready to provide a viable alternative show to defend ordinary Nigerians..........ya, I thought not.
