nthony10:
Police have finally fallen flat, imagine okada rider pursuing a trained police officer.
Actually, I think the police have not yet realized that its no longer business as usual. There are police stations/ posts in my area where bikes and Okada riders are always arrested for anything and everything..

A victim, someone was riding without nose cover. The officer who arrested him wasn't wearing one either! Yet having pointed out the same to him, he still shamelessly arrested the guy and the guy had to bail himself and his bike separately.

The now of bikes they seize everyday is mind blowing

GoodGovernance:
Thinking through your anus.

So FG should abandon IPPIS because of ASUU?
Why the hell nothuh

Your boss Buhari, his family and goons abandon our hospitals for those abroad even for common cold treatment.

Their sons and daughters abandoned the schools here for others elsewhere. The IPPIS if found wanting too can be replaced with UTAS... Is it only politicians that can leave what is not working out for something betterhuh

Ngige is Doctor and represents the government. Whatever he says is what even Buhari will take. This one is not about Buhari.

Note that I'm not a fan of Buhari either?

cheesy

The contract awarded to whoever did IPPIS can't go in vain... Anything done by government must be enriching a political crooner or a government official.. UTAS can't be backed because it can't favour Ngige... cheesy

Yes.

Regions that contributed in the emergence of national leaders get to also demand for slots.

SE should contribute their quota and play ball the right way. Then even other regions will see their efforts and willingly give them their turn. Not just staying in the opposition all the time and crying marginalization...

Politicking is an art. They must use it well..

Ogbeni, you and your uncle ate someone else's food. How's that a miracle?

So this thing that's doing you didn't start today. Your historical materialism could be traced back to 1956. This has gone a long way in unraveling why you and your likes have become so proficient in eating peoples food, tithes and offerings in the name of something something.
How is that a problem?

Its a simple sturvs... Someone is hungry. Nice meal came in without begging. You said you don't know, yet they insisted. You now ate the food and it is a crime?

Get a life brother! He's not the cause of your frustration and hatred grin

Culture › Re: Who Is Alarina (Intermediary) In Yoruba Culture? by dalass(f): 5:53am On Nov 13, 2020
TheMomentumTv:
Every culture with its own uniqueness and values. As for the Yorubas, they are rich in culture and values, and these are in most cases coherent with the biblical and quranic order of a perfect living.

One of the riches of Yoruba cultures is the value attached to an intermediary (Alarina) between lovers, towards a successful marriage.

The major roles of Alarina in Yoruba culture are numerous. As numerous as the roles are, one basic thing about it is the place of giving information.

Alarina gives information of a side to the other about the individual lover or the family as a whole. Scientists of today agreed on so many things that are hereditary in nature. These could range from attitudes to sicknesses. The Alarina exposes such hereditary factors of each family to avoid continuity of such trend in the new family.

Though, as great as Alarina might sound or be, it is gradually becoming a thing of the past. It's relevance is not as strong as it was in the days before 'civilization'.

The social media is taking the place of Alarina now. There are several websites where 'singles are mingled'. The youths of today care less about the history of any family. All matters to them is the individual.

The world seems to be in the era of individualism. In the time past, the individual or even the family is not enough to predict a home. The Yoruba go as far as the town of origin to determine how peaceful a home could be.

The Momentum Tv
The Alarina matter don't fade out.... Nobody goes through with this anymore. Yoruba's seem to have upgraded beyond Alarina as they do virtually all the findings or none at all and just take a leap into this important journey anyhow.

This is probably the reason for more divorce rate. undecided

Same way ENDSARS protests was a fault of those maimed or killed or negatively affected as a result of SARS and Police brutality over the years? Wow, clap for yourself!

The dilapidated infrastructures in government primary, secondary and tertiary institutions are ASUUs fault?

Professors of many years earning peanuts compared to LG councillors, NEPA bill holder etc is their fault too :High costs of living is the people's fault as well...

We provide jobs , access roads, transportation, electricity, food, water even security ourselves

What exactly does this government want to take responsibility forhuh Insurgency? Banditry? Crushing poverty? Bigotryhuh

What do you mean.

Stop being emotional to something that is not important, nobody is hating on the poor baby, and told you the little baby is poor.

The baby is richer than some adult nairalander self.

BTW: I'm not hating we just need a better post on front page.

I'm an expectant dad too
An expectant dad should know better. Your post was mean

'Poor' does not only refer to economic status. In this case, it's meaning is synonymous with defenceless.

Imagine when your own son comes, you post his picture and gushing on him. Then an idiot posts something similar to that.

Pathetic! undecided
