It's not because the city elite didn't care about poor people , it's because the govt didn't give a shit about " people like Arthur " i.e people with mental illnesses.The therapist that Arthur was going to was reliant upon the government for funding.

If roads go bad and if govt hospitals or govt organisations that are meant to help the needy go out of service , it's not Dangote or Otedola you will blame. You will blame the govt.

Again no where in the film is it implied that there was a system favouring the rich.


The poor people were simply bitter that the rich people were rich.

Heck even in Nigeria that things are really bleeped up , you can't see a poor man resenting or wanting to kill a rich person simply because that person is rich.

I have to admit, i went to far, i was having a movie bad week, in the sense that other movies i saw in the same time frame with Harriet was horrible, thus, my expectation for the movie was way too much. And when my expectations & imagination from what i read, fell short from what i saw, i became rankled & lashed out at the movie.

That was basically a summary & it was gotten from Wikipedia if am not mistaken, that barely scratched the surface of the Harriet Tubman's story. Had it been that i still have the Ms word document i did on her, I'd have gladly mailed it to you. The movie was good but historically inaccurate, hence my very poor rating. All the same, let's just leave it at that.

I tried watching vis a vis and felt it had a Telemundo vibe to it.. Stopped watching after one episode.. Not my thing. Rather watch Wentworth if you are interested in female prison drama.

After watching the S1, I felt its also kinda hyped tho buh thank God I chose to continue... One of the best series around, its bomb, a mega hit.
9.99/10 ratings, meanwhile I'm always stingy with my rating.
