urahara: It's not because the city elite didn't care about poor people , it's because the govt didn't give a shit about " people like Arthur " i.e people with mental illnesses. The therapist that Arthur was going to was reliant upon the government for funding.
If roads go bad and if govt hospitals or govt organisations that are meant to help the needy go out of service , it's not Dangote or Otedola you will blame. You will blame the govt.
don't be naive. who do you think run the government?
the elite run and control the government dude.
urahara: Arthur got beaten up by upper middle class eople and he also got beaten up by just some random regular kids.
His colleague that gave him that gun and reported to his boss was a poor person like him.
Arthur himself said it that everybody was so mean , notice that he even told Murray that he was dressed up as a clown not to protest as he didn't " believe in any of that stuff ".
Again no where in the film is it implied that there was a system favouring the rich.
The poor people were simply bitter that the rich people were rich.
Heck even in Nigeria that things are really bleeped up , you can't see a poor man resenting or wanting to kill a rich person simply because that person is rich.
i don't have the energy to argue about something ewu n' okuko ma.
Chibudollar: With the way this Fast and Furious franchise be going they better turn it to series, they might even get to 15 with Spiderman appearing because I don't see any rational explanation on how that niggga caught a car mid air..
mekaprime: I have to admit, i went to far, i was having a movie bad week, in the sense that other movies i saw in the same time frame with Harriet was horrible, thus, my expectation for the movie was way too much. And when my expectations & imagination from what i read, fell short from what i saw, i became rankled & lashed out at the movie.
Seunpaul01: That was what he said. He rated it average.
Emotional connection? Just imagine.
Would u agree with the low par statement on the effect? What we all see and agreed it was an obviously improved tech/effects than the T1 n T2.
no fucking way!
one of the best thing about dark fate was it's vfx. it was da bomb!
viewers main gripe about the film was that killing john connor and choosing another saviour kinda rendered T1 and T2 insignificant, and honestly i agree with them.
but as for the visual effects, dark fate looked glorious on a 1080 resolution.
franky this is the first time i read that someone had issues with dark fates' vfx.
From the way you rated Terminator Dark Fate said alot.
I know it's your opinion but this is a public forum and your opinion matters to us here. Majority come here to get movie references. Your rating help us decide the movie to watch. It is unfair when you come here and bad rate (1/10) a movie that majority of rating site give not less than 70% or 6/10.
mekaprime: That was basically a summary & it was gotten from Wikipedia if am not mistaken, that barely scratched the surface of the Harriet Tubman's story. Had it been that i still have the Ms word document i did on her, I'd have gladly mailed it to you. The movie was good but historically inaccurate, hence my very poor rating. All the same, let's just leave it at that.
from what i read online after watching the film, the film is historically accurate, i think it's part of the reason rotten tomatoes rated it high.
it's also a solid movie. your 1/10 is very unfair and deceiving.
realestniggah: I tried watching vis a vis and felt it had a Telemundo vibe to it.. Stopped watching after one episode.. Not my thing. Rather watch Wentworth if you are interested in female prison drama.
THANK YOU!
that's what i've been drumming on here since i quit vis a vis
it has a telenovela vibe.
it also had nothing on wentworth.
i was expecting something like wentworth and was extremely disappointed.
ibnlawal: One man's food is another's poison.....How can one say Vis a Vis is hyped, I can't just process it. Its bullsh*t, aswear.
After watching the S1, I felt its also kinda hyped tho buh thank God I chose to continue... One of the best series around, its bomb, a mega hit. 9.99/10 ratings, meanwhile I'm always stingy with my rating.
i avoid shows that don't challenge me intellectually and vis a vis is very deficient in that aspect.
it may scintillate you but it bores me.
i like my shows slow and meaningful.
also, it's overhyped....
if people are rating a show 10/10, 9/10 and saying it's the best show they have ever watched, they are overhyping that show because there is an offchance that someone else will have a contrary opinion.
vis a vis may be a good show for you and others with similar inclinations, but there are people like me that can't stand it.
you need to make peace with the fact that your vis a vis is not universally adored, and move on.
KoiceReloaded: It's a thought provoking film alright. Nolan even left subtle clues to guard us to Leonard's wife killer. Many people missed it, but I didn't.
Guess who it was?
leonard mistakenly killed his wife and his brain in order to cope with the trauma, invented a phantom killer.
leonard dedicated his life to hunting someone that didn't exist (thanks to his brain/mind lying to him), but along the way, he got used by people that knew about his medical condition for own selfish gain.
spoilers!!!! read at your own risk. don't say i didn't warn you!!!!
what a masterpiece! i had my suspicion but i wasn't able to piece it all together till the last episode.
leanne is special and can reanimate objects and dead things. this was confirmed when she reanimated a dead cricket and dog.
she ran away from a cult she grew up in to be with dorothy whom she had admired since she was a little girl, but the cult found her and wanted her back.
eventually aunt may convinced her to leave the turners and come back to them, leaving baby jericho to turn back to a reborn doll.
one other thing.... i have a strong suspicion that most the cult members died in the explosion stemming from their alteration with the cops. am 95% certain that leanne animated them all and the reason aunt may &george want her with them so bad is so that she can "serve" them by reanimating the dead members that died in the alteration, but it's a theory of mine. it makes sense tho and explains so much.
at least dorothy is finally "awake" now. will sean become part of the cult?
