HAVE FAITH IN HIS NAME

Acts.3.16 - And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong..... the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness....

Peter had nothing with him to give to the man at the beautiful gate, but he could recall the words of Jesus, shortly after his resurrection telling them of the wonders they would work in his name mark 16:17-19.

His faith was established on the name of Jesus, he had no doubt that the name would heal the lame man. He refused to be accredited for the miracle, but rather glorified the name.

Whatever situation we find ourselves, let's use the name of Jesus. Let it be our Confidence. All power has been invested on the name. Let's call it with faith, and in expectation, believing him to do what he say's. Rom 10:13.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF HIS RESURRECTION

1Thess.4.14 - For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

The teaching on the resurrection of Christ is imperative in the Christian faith. His triumph and victory over death is of uttermost significant to our Christian Faith.

His resurrection signifies and guarantees our resurrection, the resurrection of our mortal bodies, glorified bodies that would be like his 1John 3:2.

It doesn't matter if we are present in our bodies or not, this would happen in the twinkle of an eye, by the power of his Holy Spirit. 1Cor15:52, Rom8:11.

He is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent. Nothing to hard for him. Him himself is the father himself the son, himself the Holy Spirit.

My Jesus, my God is alive Rom.8.11 - But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you..

THE PASSION OF CHRIST

He was so passionate about dying for us that he despised the humiliation of the cross Rom12:2. So that he could get us saved and secured in his eternal love for all eternity.

It's all about his passion, his love for us. Laying down his life, paying the price and becoming the ultimate sacrifice. No greater love than this John15:13.

LIVE IN HIS PERFECT PEACE

Isa.26.3 - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

In the journey of Life, we will encounter storms at one point or the other. The Lord didn't say if you walk through the fire, rather he said when you walk through. Isa.43:2.

The ability to maintain peace even in the midst of the storm's of life is what would sail the believer to victory.

When we fix our minds on the Lord and on his word, refusing to be moved by what we see, feel, hear, perceive and taste, the Lord sees this as trusting in him. Then his perfect peace will fill our hearts, assuring us of his ever abiding presence, which is the guarantee of our Victory.

The very verses you quote there from John 16 vs 33 tells you that in this world, those who choose to become followers of Jesus Christ, will not have peace with all men but instead will suffer tribulation.

The peace He gives you is that which He gives you on the inside, peace that is not for, nor does it belong to this world. Did you really think you could find Jesus Christ contradict His own self as far as His declaration that He did not come to bring peace between you and the world?

If God say's we can, then we can. Yes some folks may try to provoke us, but we can still follow them With peace.

THE GOSPEL OF PEACE

Eph.6.15 - And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

The reason why Christianity is never violent, or engage the use of force or fear to spread is because it is anchored on the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9;6

The gospel is all about the Love of God. John 3:16. God reaching out to mankind in love, saving and redeeming humanity by himself, and to himself. And this gospel is called the gospel of Peace.

One way we can effectively preach the gospel, is by living in peace with all men. 2cor13:11 This will be a testimony to the unbelieving.

CAST OUT FEAR

1John.4.18 ......... cast out fear: because fear hath torment....

It is almost impossible to live in this world without fear, but thanks to God we have the victory.

A lot of folks have yielded to the spirit of fear and has let it become a strong hold in their lives, and this has put them in perpetual bondage.

God's way of dealing with fear is to cast it out. Why? Because fear is a spirit 2Tim 1:7. you don't deal with fear by going to a psychologist and undergoing therapy, but by casting it out in the name of the Lord Jesus so as not to let it gain ground in your life.

HE WON'T FORGET YOUR LABOUR OF LOVE

Heb.6.10 - For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

God See's your ministering to the saint's as labour of love. That is ministering to the body of Christ most especially your local assembly, is your labour of love.

You can minister to the body with whatever gifts, talents and resources at your disposal. Don't just be idle in the Church, make use of your God given ability.

And it says, God does not forget these thing's you do. He will reward you as long as your not doing it to be seen and praised by men. Hallelujah.

REST IN HIS PERFECT LOVE

1John.4.18,19- There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear....We love him, because he first loved us.

A great man of God always say that the descending love is greater than the ascending love. The love that flow's upward is lesser than the love that flow's downwards.

A Child can never love the parents more than the way the parents love him/her. That's the descending love.

Now as Children of God, he loved and chose us even when we were undeserving. His love is greater, constant, not based on emotions or our performance, and it's perfect. But you see, our love is not. Our love could be burning hot today but go cold tomorrow, but his is consistent.

You see, he always and will always love us regardless of our short coming. His love is always constant. Boast of his love, and be confident of his perfect love for you, which will never fail.

Pls the Holy Spirit of God is not A kid. You think God is a Child that would go and come and go and come back again? He said he would abide with you forever. That's why he said your body is his house. He only leaves when you want him to. And please there's no scriptural backing for this Holy Spirit leaving you when you sin. Because when he leaves, he doesn't come back.

LIVE A LIFE OF PURPOSE

2Cor.1.17 - When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?

Another word for purpose is plan. You see, God our father is a God of purpose and a master planer. He has a purpose for everyone of his creation.

So also as believer's, we should have a plan for our lives. Our lives should be purposeful. A life that is not lived on purpose, will not experience true success.

Don't just talk anyhow, talk with purpose, dress with purpose, walk with purpose, act with purpose. We are Children of purpose.

Don't forget, the greatest purpose we can live for is the purpose of our creation in Christ Jesus. That's why we are still here.. It is ours to discover and pursue. Glory to God.

FAITH WORKS BY LOVE

Gal.5.6 - For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Faith cannot operate without love. Love is the life style of the believer, so also faith Hab 2:4

Love is not a choice to the believer. We don't chose to love. We love because that's our nature Gal 5:22. Rom5:5.

Your faith won't produce results if your not walking in love 1Cor13:2.

So, let's let go of every anger, bitterness, strife, jealously, and malice, so that our faith would be unhindered, and produce the desired results.

DON'T LOOK BACK

Phil.3.13 - Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

There a lot of folk's who are stuck up in the past. They keep on remembering past hurt, pain, disappointment, and missed opportunities. But the word of God encourages us to let go.

There's a great future ahead of us, if only we would let go of the past. You see, even our past achievements could hinder us from moving ahead in life, when we refuse to reach forward.

Take for instance Lot's wife, she refused to let go. She was still holding on to what was behind, she looked back and became Forever Stagnant. So let's forget about the past and reach forth to greatness.

ENGAGE THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN PRAYERS.

Rom.8.26 - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

There are times the burden seems to heavy, and the situation so critical that we can't use the right words in our vocabulary to express our heart to God. That's where the Holy spirit comes in.

In such difficult situation, the Holy Spirit takes charge as you yield your tongue to him and begin to address the root cause of depression, sickness, failure e.t.c.

Here is how it works; as you ask for his help in that situation, you start speaking in tongues because that is the language of the Holy spirit. It is the groaning which cannot be uttered, or understood with human intellect, but God knows what your saying because his spirit is praying through you.

So next time your faced with a difficulty, don't just depend on your human wisdom. Let the Holy Spirit take Charge for he knows all things

PATIENTLY HOPEFUL

Rom.8.25 - But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

When we have an expectation of a desired end, which is hope, we need to implore the virtue of patience.

Now just imagine if Abraham wasn't patient, or Daniel when he prayed and waited for 21 days to get his expected answer. Just imagine if he gave up. the angle would have returned back with the answer's to his prayer.

Let's implore patience, even as we hope for our miracles.

THE POWER OF FAITH AND HOPE

1Cor.13.13 - And now abideth faith, hope.........

Hope is a powerful motivation, It motivates you to faith. An hopeless person cannot have faith. Faith is born out of hope, these two work side by side.

Hope gives birth to faith
Hope believes, while faith receives
Hope sees it, while faith takes it.
Hope spurs you to act, while faith is the act.

Faith is the steps you take to get your heart desire. without it no matter how hopeful you are, your in dream world.

RECEIVE YOUR MIRACLES THROUGH FAITH AND PATIENCE

Heb.6.12 - That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

What do you do when that miracle is not forth coming as quickly as you want it? What do you do when the answers to prayers are not as fast as you think it should?

Well God promised our Father Abraham a son but he had to wait for 25 yrs to obtain the promise. 25yrs? How long have you waited?

Remain in faith even though the answer seems delayed. Don't give in to discouragement. Believe that God is working behind the scene as in the case of Abraham, and your miracle would be so big that it would be a topic for discussion

A lot of folks have tied their self worth to relationship's, family, friends and even materialism but this is so wrong. When you don't have access to these things, then it begins to affect your self image.
