A CITY OF LIGHT.

Matt.5.14 - Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

When you become born again, you become a light city, Why? Because you're transferred into the kingdom of light.1 Peter 2:9. Col1:13.

So wherever you are there is light. Your the light in your family, in your neighborhood, in your School, in your place of work. When you show up light shows up.

YOUR EVER PRESENT HELPER

Ps.46.1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

We have a helper who is always present, who is always ready to help, who never sleeps nor slumber.

The psalmist says when his mother and his father forsake him, then the lord will pick him up. Why? Because he has promised to never leave us, nor forsake us. Psalm 27:10, Heb13:5.

You may feel deserted, as if every one has given up on you, but the ever present help would not. He has been, and will always help you. Though you may not see or feel his presence, but he is always present. You're not alone, you've got the Helper.

HE FEELS YOUR PAIN'S

Isa 63:9. In all their suffering he also suffered, and he personally rescued them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them. He lifted them up and carried them through all the years(NLT)

Where is God when it hurts? Why did he let bad things happen to his children? And even if he feels my pain why don't he do something about it?

This and many more are the questions a lot of us asks today. God is aware of what your going through, he is happy when your happy and sad when your sad.

He became human and experienced most of our weaknesses and challenges. Heb 4:15.

What he wants from you is your trust. Trust him to see you through whatever situation your in today Pro 3:5.

Let me say this: I enjoy encouraging...or giving people sincere appreciation when it is truly due. Sometimes I just can't help myself....and people miscontrue my excitement.
I don't know you at all; However, the Holy Spirit has blessed me through several of your threads (which I also "like"sometimes, but don't want you to miscontrue my intentions). I don't ever want to be an obsessive "like-er" of comments on this site.
You, as well as a small number of other regular Christian devotional contributors--both male & female-- on this section, (some of whom I have told the same thing I am telling you) have blessed me tremendously daily.
Reading this thread this morning was the indicator that it was now time (after reading a lot of your devotionals) to finally encourage you the writer...and know that God is working through you to bless others. Remember to remain humble and give the glory to the Lord.
Although your moniker confused me a little, and I don't know what your calling is, I do believe that you know Jesus, my brother in Christ.

First of all, thanks for the likes. I really don't know and can't see those that likes my stuff. I just see the numbers.

Secondly, I am glad my devotionals are a blessing. When I started I never knew I would be getting such feed back. Thank you. My topics and messages are all inspirational. They are given to me. Am not copying any one, though maybe two or three person's influenced my work.

I am glad God is working through this devotionals because the purpose of it is to stir up faith and hope in the lives of people.

My moniker is just a moniker I chose when I joined nairaland years ago. Tried changing it to no avail...

My calling is to give faith to the faithless, hope to the hopeless and light to those in darkness, through the preaching and teaching of God's word.

MINISTER GRACE THROUGH YOUR WORD'S

Eph.4.29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

It cut's deeper than knife. It can heal the broken heart, it can set one free or put one in bondage. Word's are powerful.

We should watch what we say to other's because what have been said cannot be unsaid. You can only feel sorry, and feel bad about what you've said but it has ministered grace or disgrace already.

Scrutinize the words you speak. Ask your self if what your about saying is helpful and edifying, if not don't say it. Don't say word's that would destroy peoples self worth and make them feel inferior.

Man is triune being. He is a spirit, has a soul and lives in a body. When you open your mouth and talk, both your spirit and your soul is involved.

God is made up of the father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God. John 1:1-5. When Jesus speaks, he does not say my father says, or the Holy Spirit says, why because he is God.
A member of the God head. Omnipotent Omniscient, Omnipresent.

Jesus being a member of the God head, had to be made flesh. And as flesh, he had limitations. He had to depend on the Holy Spirit because he was not functioning as God but as man, so he had to pray to the father. Why because as a man, he needed the father to fulfill his mission on earth. I lost my mother in Bayelsa a few weeks back and no CT scan or MRi available there or the state capital, there are more that have faded away cause of lack of these basic health machines but they are building bridges that serve no value.. The people are the government...I speak for the next person or family that will need these basic health equipment.

Obviously, Jesus Christ does call us to adopting of Old Covenant laws which is what the poor widow gave her mite in obedience to. Instead Jesus Christ calls us to each give directly to the person in need...Matthew 6 vs 1 - 4.

when we give to our local church, we are giving to The work of God because the church uses the resources at its disposal to reach out to the lost through various means.

Giving is the proof of love
