God forbid I work for even 50k for a whole month as a graduate. I resigned my last job whose pay was 80k because I can't imagine the pressure I was under. I felt useless thinking with all my schooling, I can't think of a business idea that will generate an average of 3k per day as a graduate. The problem here is that there are so many street hustle that requires very little or no capital to start and pays better but we look down on such because "we are graduates". From by calculations, menial street hustle like meat selling (beef or goat), akara frying, vegetables selling, garri etc pays more when you kill pride. |
I don't want to sound like I am not sensitive enough but I think you are overreacting. More so, thinking of suicide and involving other people will make it worse. Yes, he was wrong but why not call him and ask confront him before taking further decisions? Yes, its possible both of you were drunk. He made a mistake but it doesn't translate to killing him. His response from your interrogation will determine your next line of action. |
Its truly irritating. It makes our ladies dull and always seeing life from an unrealistic perception. I get angry just sitting 5mins watching zee world. |
Omah Lay, then followed by Tems. Bella is far from it. What content does Bella have? Singing rubbish. In fact, Oxlade and Chike are better than the Bella. |
This is absolute rubbish. I was expecting to see Tems after Omah Lay, maybe followed by the likes of Cheque, Oxlade etc. Aside from maybe Bella smurda, I don't know what the rest are doing there. Never heard of their names or songs. I believe you were paid to promote the rest but you should have made it to look reasonable. |
I have a question to ask. Must you stay in Abuja, Lagos or PH to measure how successful you are or you may be? Secondly, according to you, lokoja is dry, does it mean everyone in lokoja is poor? I am from the school of thought that believe you can succeed in any location you find yourself. The answer to these questions is "what do you have to offer?". I leaved in Abuja for 6years before I relocated to Otukpo in Benue (although on transfer even though I initiated the transfer). Some of my friends insulted me that I am lazy and not ready to face though challenges that was why I left Abuja. But the truth is that, I don't like leaving fake life. Almost all my guys have been leaving in a room and palour self contain maximum for the past 10years they have been in Abuja. Back to my point, I saw opportunity to grow in Benue while I was there. I ventured into agribusiness and focused on produce aggregation and procurement. I left my previous job and now self employed. Above all, I enjoy what I do because I am not under unnecessary pressure. I leave well, eat well, have my own house and fulfilling my dreams from Benue. I only go to abuja on visit. Hunger and suffering in abuja is real. |
What is the aim of this post please? Is it that people should not thrive to make a successful family? If you can not attain a feat, that does not mean it is not an achievement. Most times, post like this tends to encourage mediocrity. People should be having free sex and having kids out of wedlock because getting married is not an achievement or what? |
He stole over 2billion naira and he was welcome into the country like a hero. Even shaking hands with policemen standing at attention. Highest thing that can happen to this man is that he will refund small percentage of the stolen money so others can help reloot it again. Meanwhile we do jungle justice to the man that steals goat and chicken; if they survive jungle justice, police will jail them for the rest if their lives except miracle happens. |
I just hate this country with passion. After the killings, the killers will be released and placed on salary in the event they are caught. They will now be called repentant BH. Anyway, the good thing is that all these senseless killings only happens in the North and I pray it remains in the North. They are so comfortable with the killings that is why they can't protest to end bad governance. If it were to be a case of 'blasphemy against Mohammed " they will all troupe out to protest. Killing of innocent people is better than insulting Mohammed in their terms. |
NEPA should be number 1. If you are using estimated billing system and you pay your bill alone, you will understand better. |
Is as much as you think you don't earn much, that doesn't mean what you are earning is terrible. Sometimes when people start saying things like "you should be financially stable" before going into marriage, I wonder what amount can be termed financially stable for a salary earner. In my own definition, a salary earner can not be termed financially stable especially for those working for private individuals/Company because you can be asked to leave at any time. My first advise is that you should forget about your certificate and look for something else to do. As a graduate, after I lost my work in the bank, I did some very odd jobs to support my family. I sold fufu, yams etc. The funny thing is, I learnt a lot in that process and by the grace of God, I am better now. Do you know that about 70% of those that work in the bank today earn 80k and below? Many of them are married with kids. There are people who earn half of what you are earning now and are married, that doesn't mean they will remain the way the are. The most important thing is to have alternative sources of income and also have a partner that can support your dreams. If you are not careful enough, you will keep hustling to get a financially stable status till you will be almost 50yrs. Having kids at later age is not too cool me sha. What's the average life expectancy for Nigerians? Buhari's economy has reduced it to 50. I don't subscribe to marrying late because I don't want to you my pension to pay children school fees and buying of pampers. |
When you see news like this in Nigeria, don't bother to read the body of the article because you already know the region where the subject person belongs to in Nigeria. |
This country called Nigeria is a scam. I think we should protest that no country or body should borrow us any money again. As some point, I think these excessive borrowing is intentional because they know the country might disintegrate before Buhari leaves. They borrow money and share between the national assembly and state governors. |
That's bad. The funny thing is, if I send 10 of these onions to my PH customers for N500 from Benue State, they will tell me I cheat them. I pray things gets better. |
In as much as I don't like the rate of killings in America by the white policemen, I wish to also condemn the attitudes of so many black guys over there. So many of the black guys are just too stubborn. If I am the policeman in this position, aswear I will also gun the bastard. They were even moving backwards and he is coming towards them with a weapon. That is death calling the idiot. |
If this country must exist together, we have to start afresh. Proper recruitment and rehabilitation of the entire police system. Maybe the military should perform the interim functions of police for at least 6 months while this process is on or better still, the civil defense should perform the interim functions. This country is completely messed up. I want to confirm please, are mobile policemen still collecting 50-200 naira at checkpoints in the east, west and south till now? |
He is right. Nobody was killed. Any Nigerian that is not in power is a "nobody" according to the elite. This is a more reason all the "nobody" should come for those idiot, blood and tasty politicians and their families. |
I have seen several post on social media asking why the North is not involved in this #endsars campaign. Let's get this straight, I see no reason for them to protest. That's the truth. I was born and brought up in the north, the police in the north don't behave the way those from the other parts of the country behaves. Yes, I say so. How many times have you heard a police man or SARS shot a civilian in the North because of bribe he/she refuses to pay? I don't think I am aware of any. The average northerner is not a coward, take it or leave it; If you try such in the north, be rest assured that you are not going to leave to tell the story. Policemen are more coordinated in the north. You will hardly see police checkpoints that are solely meant to collect 50 to 500 naira to allow passage of motorists on the highways in the North. To think of it, I think most times we are our own enemies. About 80 to 90% of policemen are usually indigenes of their local environments, so therefore; if there are records of brutalities and exploits, it is same people. Have you ever travelled from down north to the east before? Kindly observe the trends of policemen on checkpoints as you approach the next state. Benue, Enugu, Anambra.... As you go deeper, the greed becomes obvious. Same goes to the West and worse of all, the South South (I even heard some of them use POS). My suggestion is that let all SARS officers be redeployed to the core north for reorientation. |
If they really want SARS, then all the SARS should be redeployed to the North, especially katsina and other States battling with banditry and terrorism in the north. |
I hate it when people attach religion or spirituality to normal life's happenings. I am not a fan of prayer house and prophets, so I am always amazed when people can't make simple decisions on their own. You don't deserve such a girl. She deserves somebody better than you. And for the records, don't date until you can reason for yourself and not a prophet or pastor telling you what to do and what not to. |
Please someone should read and summarize for me abeg. I eye can't read long messages |
See brother, brother wey mumu ![]() |
If I am a father of a boy child especially who is up 20 years. I will encourage him to be independent even before that age. I will make sure at 16 yrs, he has learnt one trade or the other. I wouldn't want my child to be looking for a paid job from my house @ 30yrs old. Most times, what we call suffering is what is supposed to open our eyes to the real world. Nothing good comes easy. What I see now is that, Young men @ over 30yrs are still staying in family houses while keeping girlfriends. I left my parent's house @ 19yrs old. I am full street man. I very uncomfortable staying at home. I started organizing home lessons for primary and secondary school pupils when I was 17. I learnt computer hardware maintenance at some point. By the time I was 23, I was able sponsor my education to HND level. I eventually got married at 25 and hoping that when I will be 50yrs, my last child should be in the university or graduating from the university. Life is not a competition but I don't subscribe to being comfortable being dependent and broke. Currently, I sell yams, garri, rice and foodstuffs generally as a man. I have a university degree and polytechnic degree. Don't be shy to go all out and hustle. There are so many street hustle that pays more than the white collar jobs but we think its for the uneducated. |
Sorry I meant her younger sister. I know them well. So please take a chill pill. Organicist95: |

Truly sad situation. I know the guy the that drove the car. Nehemiah is a calm full Church boy who plays keyboard in Church in my area. In fact the three of them were coming from my former neighbor's house when this thing happened. They all know each other well. Two of them were secondary school classmates at the airforce secondary school, Kaduna. In fact. Currently, Irotile's younger brother and Nehemiah's younger brother are classmate in same airforce secondary school, Kaduna. So painful that people are trying to politicize the incident. It was an honest accident. From eye witnesses from the scene, he was reversing to so they could greet her, only for her to move directly behind the car from which the unfortunate to place. She hit her head on the pavement and died. Let God take control. Nehemiah is not a terrorist. |
All these men trying to impress women after smoking some few weeds to have sex. Now that the preeq is shattered I wonder how he will explain to his wife at home or his future wife (in case he is not yet married). Lessons learnt: No go de do pass yourself ( in kizz Daniel's voice) |
Mumu country. Who did this to us? |
All this Buhari and his people. Which one is bandits, militants or herdsmen? They are all terrorist organization and as such, should be treated as terrorist. They should stop making look like an organization fighting for a reasonable cause |
Buhari is working. He will soon borrow 4billion dollars to fumigate Nigeria from pest and termites. We are not even indebted yet, let this 2nd term ends, we may use the next 100 years paying pile of debts from Buhari. |
And meanwhile, the government is planning to reintegrate 703 repentant BH members next month. Who are those proposing this kind of rubbish and who are those approving the nonsense? This country ehn |
That man is a definition of a weakling. How can your wife be bold enough to attack you in public in this manner and you think you are a man? I sha know myself. I have never and will never raise my hand on a woman and at the same time, you want never find me in a position that a woman can humiliate me like this. So as a married man, you have no right to go for lunch with a lady weather married or unmarried? So any man that goes out for lunch with a lady automatically becomes a cheat and should be embarrassed? This is one of the major reasons why marriages crash these days. Very disrespectful women everywhere. If she can do this in public, it means she can do worse in private. He better files for divorce or else she will kill him or he will kill her one day. |
