Health › Re: Kano City Is Now The Killing Fields Of Covid-19 In Africa By Prof. Usman by DanseMacabre(m): 12:32am On Apr 27, 2020
In my opinion, this is just pouring water on a rock.

If in this 21st century notorious for the ubiquity of smart phones and smarter gadgets, the governor of the second most populous state in Nigeria could stupidly and brazenly be caught receiving and pocketing bribes on camera, to what new lows wouldn't such a fellow descend?

Make dem no worry sha. Comeuppance awaits.

Not just extinct, also prehistoric, which means it's as good as seeing a dinosaur or mammoth or sabre-toothed tiger in the flesh.

I strongly doubt that OP.

Bagehot:
In my opinion, running an heterogeneous country like Nigeria is more about stakeholder management than intellectual sagacity. You dont have to be the smartest guy; you are better off understanding how to balance competing interests, and the smart people that would handle aspects of the job. Besides, there is a potential downside of folks who lean heavily on smarts being perceived as arrogant and out of touch.
My brother, we've tried these 'egalitarian' stakeholders for too long. Let's have an intellectual for once. He fails, we experiment with someone else.

Now someone with 'intellectual sagacity' and a flair for stakeholder management, even at an international level is Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, but it's only when pigs fly that she'll get a chance.

Politics › Re: Covid-19 Lockdown: Kaduna State Govt Extends Lockdown For 30 Days More by DanseMacabre(m):
Thirty days...huh I must admit though, if even two-thirds of those stipulations accompanying the lockdown are met, alongside large-scale testing and isolation of diagnosed carriers, then Kaduna would be on the right trajectory to ending COVID 19 in the state.

But El-Rufai dey mad oo...which one is austere conditionshuh Abi isolation centre don turn concentration camphuh

Nuzo1:
Moghalu and Durotoye were my 1st and second choices at the 2019 general elections. And this was because there were the best on the table as at then.

But now the doors are open, i wouldn't choose somebody like Moghalu because i feel he lacks the political will to enforce his fantastic economic ideas. Just like Osinbajo, he may do well as a vp or an economic minister, but I'm not sure if he can pull through as an effective president.

GEJ has the economic ideas but lacked the political will.

Buhari has the political will but lacks ideas.

Yaradua had the economic ideas but lacked the political will. Maybe because of his health.

OBJ had the political will. He also had the economic ideas which was badly tainted with selfish interest.

Nigeria needs more of a leader with political will than one with economic ideas if he is willing to surround himself with sound and progressive policy makers.
I agree with you bro. But I think even character is of utmost importance too. Then too, don't you think might be mistaking 'will' for 'influence'?
Health › Re: Coronavirus: Aniekeme Uwah Sacked For Refusing To Manipulate Test Figures by DanseMacabre(m): 8:15pm On Apr 26, 2020
Lol.

The dumbest of the scum on earth are our leaders, but we keep them entrenched in power or else recycle them, so I guess we as a people are even dumber than our leaders.

If you read what I read up there and still feel those at the helm of affairs in this country give a rat's ass about your welfare then you need a lobotomy.

The maddest and dumbest of the lot are the lunatics who support and defend these demons. Una time dey come.

Yeah. I retracted after the OP correctly informed me that he isn't a critic. Bless.
