The worst set of dunces on here are the ones who don't understand simple sarcasm; and the ones who post inane and repulsive posts just to amass likes and shares from their ilk.
It's a microcosm of the larger society anyway, so it just reflects that Nairaland, and at large Nigeria, has gone to the dogs. |

dere is one tin I personally noticed abt Nlanders, wen sumone creates a thread, if d first 2 or 3 comments ar pointing at one direction, d rests wl automatically follow d same direction even wen d comments ar senseless,nt until u go down d comments, u wl begin to see different opinions. Many of us ar hypocrites. Quite true, but with the exception of sarrki, and sometimes airforce1. Those niggas dey collect die if dem open thread, except if the first few to comment are their sidekicks. |

WetinConsignMe: It was 20 pounds not 10. And it was not Awo's policy. A committee of learned economists and monetary experts recommended the policy. Awo was neither an economist nor a monetary expert, he was a politician. But what do you think was the reason behind the policy, and do you think it would have flown without Awo's approval? |

WetinConsignMe: I actually think these were very great men, except maybe Ahmadu Bello, for his extremely divisive utterances. Awo didn't hate Igbos or anybody. I don't think he was even a tribalist as such, rather a pragmatist. Bro, was it out of Awo's unconditional love for the Igbos that he brought about the infamous ten pounds policy to reimburse them after the war, even those that had millions in the bank? Awo was a staunch tribalist, just a highly intellectual and stealthy one. |

Am I mad that I'll start reading this rambling episode on an early Sunday morning, when I know it's way far from the truth?
Nigeria's problem started with the amalgamation of 1914.
Then the problem was exarcebated when black gold was discovered in the Southern part, with Northerners at the helm of affairs.
We're still hurtling down the bottomless abyss of chaos since these two events. |

After sober reflection, I've come to the conclusion that most of these guys are paid by the powers that be to make statements of this sort - they're just like a higher echelon of the BMC.
If that's not the case, then this is just a typical deluded Hausa oligarch who feels that they are born to lord it over the rest of the country. |
