We are talking about adults not children...

In my school they flogged the whole class for making noise multiple times from Pry 1 - SS 3, but it never stopped people from making noise, all it did was foster a strong sense of solidarity among us.

I personally remember a case in pry 4, our class teacher asked all of us to sleep, she left the class - then she sent another teacher to check up on us, that teacher went back and reported that we were all making noise despite the fact that everyone was asleep (except me). Our teacher then flogged all of us mercilessly for something we didnt even do.

Collective punishment is nothing more than a combination of laziness and stupidity unless the goal is create a sense of teamwork like in the military.
