It is better that way, not when something bad happens they start looking for one Emefiele to put the blame on. |
I don't hate Tinubu and I think he is a good politician but he is not invincible. Power comes from the people, there is a certain level of unpopularity a leader will reach where no force on earth can save him, the people don't even need to hate you they just have to start seeing politics as a job for 'those other people not for us', you hear statements like "it doesn't matter who rules they are all the same", Government becomes a force of nature, something they adjust to but can't influence. That is the kind of mentality that encourages coups, because the coup plotters understand the people just don't care anymore. Ironically Tinubu might jubilate about the lack of protest in the South but the lack of protest proves that this kind of mentality is becoming very popular in the South. |
aariwa:Warrant Chiefs were imposed on Igbos because Igbos were so disorganized, Warrant Chiefs were the only way they could get anything done. Funny enough many of the Ezes and traditional rulers in Igboland today were descendants or beneficiaries of the Warrant Chief System including Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It's interesting you mention Igbo Ukwu, which were beautiful art works. But where was it found? In the Nri Kingdom, one of the few parts of Igboland that were organized and had Kings. |
babasolution:Well he freed the Greeks from Persia regardless and he was an Emperor. We can agree on that |
babasolution:Macedonia was a city in Greece, Sparta, Athens, Thebes were cities in Greece too, it was Alexander the Great that unified Greece to fight against the Persians. |
babasolution:Alexander the Great was from where? America had democracy sure for white men only |
babasolution:Good you mentioned that Benin Monarch not the Benin Democracy shielded the people from slavery |
babasolution:Rome had Emperors, France had Emperors, Egypt had Emperors, Greece had Emperors, Britain had Kings It was Alexander the Great who freed the Greeks from the Persians It was Emperor Augustus Caesar who gave Rome Pax Romana. No leader shaped the 19th and 20th century like Emperor Napoleon who brought greatness to France and defeated the ruling European powers. Today Oyo and Benin Empire artifacts are admired and studied in British museums. Great civilizations are founded by Great Individuals, they can be preserved by the masses but they are founded and reformed by Great Individuals. Your 'free society' brought nothing to civilization, on the contrary 'civilization' brought a lot to your 'free society'. |
babasolution:Twins were not considered abominations in Yoruba land and Human sacrifice was abolished centuries in most Western cultures and even among Fulanis. Mind you they didn't have the superior democracy. If you committed the same crimes everyone without 'Ancient Democracy' are commiting then why would you claim to be better than them |
Ancient Democracy where Twins were considered abominations Ancient Democracy where certain people were labelled Osus. Ancient Democracy where women were pursued from her husband's house if she didn't have a son. Ancient Democracy where sick people were labelled cursed. |
Who gives a bleep about the largest tribes? Quantity does not equal quality The vast majority of leaders in Nigeria have belonged to minority tribes, the exception is Yoruba |
We will take you seriously when you stage a protest against Simon Ekpa the way you did under Buhari... Lots of insults targeting Ekpa would also be nice |
They won, Chidimma dropped out and left their country, they have their 'proper South African' winner but despite that, they won't stop the insults. It's good this way let the whole world see them for what they really are underneath their so called patriotism. |
Shinjawestern:Your assuming some people are reasonable and can make fair judgements, whereas the truth is some people hate first then look for grounds to justify the hatred. *Confirmation Bias* |
Why do Igbo politicians love copying Lagos politicians and they never copy the best of Lagos politicians but always the worst. |
Is this girl worth voting for? It's clear she loves clout, she should have resigned from the SA competition a long time but she really dragged it out and allowed Nigerians to be insulted for no reason... Next she came to Nigeria, she didn't even try to take the time to learn about the country or her history - she just immediately jumped to miss universe contest... Is it by force to be a miss something? |
Namaster:A career and a calling aren't they the same thing |
Jos |
Yes I know Prophet Jeremiah product might not heal, but why is Verydarkman targeting only Prophet Jeremiah? Don't catholic church sell rosary to people marketed for similar reason? Don't other churches sell things like holy water for the same reason? I know a guy who once had 'holy biro' before. But Verydarkman ignored other churches and just singled out Prophet Jeremiah, why? He simply woke up and decided to destroy somebody's career (and get views) for no good reason. |
CriminalTinubu:Didn't even read the post, the writer was wrong about you |
trium:They read news in Yoruba yet you don't bother watching their show (unless news like this pops up), what does that say about you? |
Yorubas and their audio politics, it's funny how they are always promoting Yoruba culture yet it always seems like no advancement has been made and they need to promote Yoruba some more. |
Northerners and Yorubas have been enemies since the dawn of time... Usman Dan Fodio vs Oyo Empire Nupe Kingdom vs Oyo Kingdom Awolowo vs Ahmadu Bello Sani Abacha vs MKO Abiola They only face Igbos because Igbos are terrible at politics and don't know when to keep quiet, I bet you lots of Igbos are there on twitter puting mouth in this fight. Also, Northerners do not depend on the South West neither do the South West depend on the North, whereas Igbos depend on both. |
It's called Nostalgia, they fantasize about the good old days when they united to kill Igbos, it was the highest moment in their worthless existence, they have nothing else to look at since then. I blame the Igbo elders, sometimes you have to face your problems head on, Igbos always try to run away from their problems, all this Biafra nonsense is just another running away. North can make stupid statements like this because at the end of the day, worst case scenario, Igbos will cry and try to secede again and will lose again, it's a high profit-zero risk game for them. Igbos need to learn how to be brave. They didn't protest because of cowardice but at the end of the day it's still Igbos getting blamed, cowardice doesn't pay. |
It's either he shot the protesters or shot himself |
mployer:That's because the businesses are run by Igbo individuals not by the Igbo Tribe |
I would say it doesn't matter, the protest would have not been this successful if Igbos had participated, it's like a funny jinx... Anything Igbos support will always fail, this works both ways, if Igbos support the protest it would fail... If Igbos want Tinubu to stop being president, all they have to do is support him. |
It seems like every protest in Nigeria is always plagiarized and plagiarized badly The Endsars seemed to happen almost the exact same time as the black lives matter protest... The current protest happens after Kenyans started protesting... Is this protest genuine or are we just copycats? |
Let's call a spade a spade Ifeanyi Ubah was assassinated, they tried to use 'unknown gunmen' before but that failed, so they used poison in a place far from his base, where he would be unprotected. Assassinated because of their hatred for APC. They warned this one so he wouldn't be next in line. |
Well said, he didn't make false heavenly promises to get power like tyrants do |
