How can spraying money be part of our tradition and culture when money itself was imported by the British? Paper money itself was even more recent Our ancestors used cowries for trade and it wasn't even widespread. |
Well said |
faceland:I use to believe this, but I learnt this is not always true Sometimes appearances is just as important as reality, taking more responsibility might make you look desperate, like you don't have options, and nobody likes a beggar, (there are more movies made about criminals than beggars), the employers would never double your salary infact they would come believe they are doing you a big favour by paying you at all. You can be hardworking but always add a little touch of selfishness and self respect, it makes them value you more. |
mrvitalis:But even the Eze of Nri said Igbos are jews, even Nnamdi Kanu denies his ancestry so why should Dokubo be punished for doing what all Igbo leaders do Abandon their ancestry when it favours them, sons of the soil when it favours them |
Imagine being bribed into tolerating your own daughter's rape and torture that is how corrupt some people can be... Imagine spending your time as a police officer to arrest and detain a rapist, only for the victim's father to drop the case after being settled... then tomorrow they wonder why police don't care too much about fighting crime and why they have no issue collecting bribes. |
The motives are different Russia is trying to annex Ukraine because it sees Ukrainians as it's own people albeit confused Israel is trying to get rid of palestinians because it doesn't see them as it's people |

1Sharon:What law are you talking about, i remember all the different punishment I endured in my school for crimes I didn't commit (usually by women), police officers make arrest sometimes without probable cause, soldiers beat people up for the tiniest excuse, the soldiers were themselves beaten up for the tiniest excuse during their training... The point is, the law sees all this maltreatment going on and it does nothing why? "Because we were only trying to discipline them and teach them a good life lesson" That is the excuse the women will give in court and since the female lawyers are themselves guilty of this the women will most likely get a free ticket. |
The father is 75 and might soon pass away, what is the essence of selling all the lands aside from impoverishing his son? |
1Sharon:It's now he's the head of the house? What happened to equality and feminine power (responsibility).... If he interferes it would make things worse for the maid, it would be implied that he has some sexual attraction to her and that would worsen her situation, besides the maid would become a woman one day and if she has anyone working beneath her she will most likely replicate the cruelty. It's a feminine cycle of cruelty |
Women are tribeless they don't have tribe, they are far too selfish to concern themselves about the tribe |
Appearances can be deceiving |
Alex Otti is a very pragmatic leader totally different from the Headless mob |
Observe the parents, I bet one of them overthinks or is extra prayerful The child has inherited their contemplative character. |
That is a hip exercise nothing sexual there |
I used to do a printing job before and that girl reminds me so strongly of my coworker then... This girl would always talk shit about my boss to the customers, even though she was paid more than the rest of us, does less work than the rest of us, gets more days off than the rest of us, yet she's always the one who complains and bitches the most... I always blamed my boss for not sacking her though... Now I'm starting to think it's general. |
Why is she sharing it on social media? Does she want public approval? Is her conscience or God's blessing not good enough for her She wants to be congratulated for adopting a child no one forced her to, what does that say about her? |
He made a fair criticism though Some governors cannot be trusted with power, arguably some political parties can't be trusted either... State police would work best in a country without sharp ethnic and religious lines, I think they have to structure it in a way so that there must some form of weak central authority. |
He is 80 years old, he got tired of waiting for death to sneak up on him and choose to face it bravely. He is a hero, he doesn't need any pity, pity is the death to pride. |
DeepThroater:I'm trying to say when Deborah allegedly insulted the Prophet she was burnt alive, in broad daylight, the police didn't really do much and they couldn't do much even if they wanted to. You are condemning this people for taking this case to the police like civilized people, you keep mistaking respect for authority with fear for authority. |
DeepThroater:They should free him asap and he should counter sue the community for false imprisonment and for confiscating his property (the monkey carcass). this is funny laugh one kill meAnyhow sha you would have complained if they had burnt him alive, the police are there to protect lives and properties including that of the community. They did the right thing. |
DeepThroater:Yes, the customary law this man just broke |
DeepThroater:Do you consider homosexuality a crime? |
DeepThroater:In China Pandas are considered national treasure, they are used in peace treaties with countries. Wild animals can still be considered properties, if you doubt go to the nearest zoo and kill an animal, see if you don't end up in prison |
DeepThroater:You can argue as much as you like but in court, motives are more important than actions If he knew monkeys are considered sacred in that community and still chose to kill it, that proves he doesn't respect the community he lives in and has no problem hurting the community, which makes him a criminal. |
DeepThroater:If you have a dog or goat and some stranger came to your house and killed it, would you claim "He bagged himself some bushmeat which his God given rights guarranttee him to forage to preserve and sustain himself." |
DeepThroater:Wild creature of nature, yet it has lived in peace with the Indigenes of Awka for centuries. I've lived in Awka myself and the monkeys mind their business, I rarely saw them. The monkeys are the property of the Indigenes of Awka, if he was ignorant of the customs, he could plead ignorance, but he was fully aware of the customs and still choose to violate it, this proves contempt and malicious intent towards the Indigenes of Awka, he has the motives of a criminal. |
DeepThroater:Destruction of public property |
DeepThroater:Their complains did nothing, if they should violate the Sharia law in the north they would be swiftly dealt with regardless. This one was not even harmed, despite being fully aware of the customs. |
