If so, why do people from this same Anambra always complain about Sharia laws in the north ?
Did their complains revoke Sharia law?

If you are being attacked and you bind together with people who are sharing the same enemy as you to have a better chance... Is it logical? Is it tribal?

PoliticsRe: Why No Igbo Man Should Aspire To Be President Of Nigeria by danvon(m): 6:25pm On Mar 05, 2024
Presidents don't even have the power to direct the country, that power belongs to the elites and cabals...

Tinubu was more powerful and independent when he was not the president.

PoliticsRe: Defence Academy Attack Mastermind Killed, Military Warns Against Coup by danvon(m): 10:13am On Feb 23, 2024
Sometimes trying to prevent something from happening only makes it happen faster...

Let us look at Rome, Julius Caesar was becoming too powerful and many senators feared he was turning the Republic into a Monarchy, so they went and assassinated him...

After Julius Caesar death all his inheritance went to his great nephew Octavius who would use his uncle's wealth to wage war on rome, avenge his uncle and successfully turn the Republic into Monarchy.

Nigerian leaders should be very careful about enacting a self fulfilling prophecy

How many igbo properties were targeted during endsars protest looting?

What about igbos that were looting and destroying public properties in lagos?
Chinaza, an igbo man burnt BRT (an investment that's worth trillions of naira)

But yen yen yen, igbo must claim victims with their 2by2 shops.

If people are going on looting spree, you think they target cell phone charger seller, or fanyogo and gala sellers?
Nope they'll target Oba palace and that beautiful Lekki

Omokri is an exile

One of Machiavelli rules is "don't trust exiles"

They are trying to go home and they would say and promise as much nonsense to get them home.

We already tried parliamentary system and it wasn't a bed of roses.

Presidential system has worked for over 20 years, might have worked poorly but it worked.

Mind you Britain is experiencing inflation as well and they have a parliamentary system.

Imagine caring more about protecting another man's wife and daughter than your own safety, and calling other people simps.

True, Igbos have a serious masculinity complex, they try to compensate for their emasculation by their women, the more emasculated - the more the complex manifest itself.

North is still the best, women on a separate bike, men on a separate bike.

Keep your pride, keep your morality.

Buhari was a dictator Tinubu is a politician

A dictator tries to ban those who opposes him.

A politician infiltrates his enemies and use their own strength to destroy them.

Atleast 50% of the soldiers in Nigeria are Muslims so where would Peter Obi get the soldiers from?

It's more possible for a Muslim Muslim leader to start a religious war than a leader with little power.

Peter Obi would have been another Aguiyi Ironsi, pandering desperately to the North and East until they finally kill him.

PoliticsOpinion: Tinubu The Revolutionary? by danvon(op): 10:33am On Jan 26, 2024
Everybody in Nigeria wants change for the better, but the problem has always been rooted in the system.

Everybody wants to change the system but the question is "who will bell the cat?"

Changing the system is a risky business, everybody wants change but nobody likes change, a man who tries to change his society would always risk being hated and demonized, only when the fruits of his change have become clear would he be respected (and even then he could still be hated)...

The military leaders in Nigeria understood this very well and the wise ones usually tried not to upset the balance too much, the few that did usually ended up dead...

In China, Mao Zedong really messed up the country with his Cultural Revolution and Great Leap Forward, his predecessor Deng Xiaoping began undoing Mao terrible policies but very delicately made it look like he wasn't changing anything and like he was even promoting Mao's policies.

That brings us to the present, Tinubu is the first democratic leader to make rapid changes in the country in such a short time, from ending subsidy to reforming the police, now shifting CBN...

These are policies that most democratic leaders would never think of, they would talk about it but would never do it, especially in such a rapid pace...

The problem is when people think of a revolutionary, they imagine an unkempt bushy faced man, screaming from the fringes, but when you check leaders who had more impact on their societies they are usually far from this picture...

Tinubu might just be the change Nigeria always wanted but only time would tell.

aswani:
This is the only part of your response I will reply to, there's only so much energy I can expand to combat blatant falsehood and conflation.

Biafran officers where extremely badly behaved and indisciplined in illegally invaded Benin City. Examples of officers not paying for goods and services, summary execution of locals that dared to appeal (not even complain ó) to them for fairness and other sundry ill treatments abound.

Wilful abduction and rape of locals and general drunken behaviour was a daily occurence. Loutish bragaddocious behaviour, of the likes we still see on Nairaland today was a common thing.

Victor Banjo was having to clear up the mess by personally going to the Ọba and various high Chiefs to apologise and beg on behalf of his Imbecilic soldiers.

You know what the kicker is, all of the above bad behaviour that I have stated was a small thing compared to what happened when the retreating Biafran army passed by Benin again. By this time, there was no principled Victor Banjo to try and help exert some restraint as he had gone ahead of them to meet his maker at the hands of Ojukwu.

As I have said before on this forum, that there are Ndigbo still in Benin City today is a testament to the magnanimity and forgiving spirit of Ovb'ẹdo.
Lol cherry picking, please respond to the other points... They should be responded together

Again if the Midwest saw Biafrans as enemies, what is wrong with the actions of Biafran soldiers?

Muritala and his partner Taiwo would order Asaba Massacre...

Adekunle would order 'shoot anything that moves'

By comparison it seems the Biafrans were very lenient to their 'enemies'.

This is actually very bad for the people...

This kind of factories usually have very very terrible managers, if you work there you would be treated like a piece of shit...

Why? Because they know they can replace you in less than 24 hours, if you get tired and quit there are thousands lining up to take your place.
