Here, you contradict yourself. You claim Fashola succeeds in Lagos ONLY because of the resources at his disposal, but there's little he can do as president, where he has access to far more resources?? It goes without saying that if you're faithful in little, you'd be faithful in much. Lastly, by whatever indices performance is gauged, Fashola has acquitted himself decently at state level. This is much more than can be said for a host of other governors and even the president.

Lets say I earn 250,000 which comprises basic salary, housing and transport alone, each itemized. Then a tax of 50k is deducted, and the balance is what I receive on payday. I can rightly calculate my tax to be 20% but I can't tell you how each bracket was taxed.

Had to go look at my payslip once more. The bulk of my tax is borne by basic salary, entertainment, lunch and transport. About 35% actually. Another 1.7% approx is charged on my clothing,furniture and housing allowances. So you are correct on that. BUT, my leave, bonuses and medical are not taxed, far as I know.

I daresay you're incorrect on this one. The portion of your income that is taxable is Basic salary. No one taxes your allowances. My firm is overly tax conscious and we even receive tax refunds for over-remittance. Do you work for FIRS by the way?

If you truly developed a business model you're passionate about and earn a living from it, i doubt if you'd just decide not to open shop one day because you're the boss and can do whatever you like. Many business and so-called entreprenuers fail mainly because they lack discipline and don't have a business plan; They just go with the flow and keep yakking about not working for someone whilst their businesses are barely afloat.

The army post BH attacked in garkida was totally decimated and had at least 4 pickup trucks, some fitted with GPMGs, blown up. Why don't you digest that for a bit and tell me what BH has that Nigerian army obviously lacks.
