It's the govt that enriched them with contracts worth billions for being thieves and economic saboteurs. In saner climes, these roundtable of murderers would be fugitives but here, they're able to hold meetings with governors and threaten a nation? Where's Dept of Social Studies (DSS) looking, aunty Marilyn? Pursuing mai-ruwa and APC members I expect.. ![]() |
The day my pastor instructs me to vote for a particular candidate, is the last day I set foot in that church! Does the church pay my taxes or do they provide me with social benefits of any type? ![]() Thank God I can read my bible MYSELF, and I see where God tells us specifically that he cannot be allies with a corrupt government- Psalms 94:20 |
Extom:When I hear or see supposed grownups use terms like 'pweety, sowi, buh, juxt, cox, etc', it just breaks my heart. Makes me want to reach for the nearest branch and cane somebody ![]() |
Amefrica:I'm sorry I'm being painfully pedantic today ![]() The bolded ought to be 'isn't worth my time'- another common mistake in our country. If you Google the entire internet and find where an individual is referred to as 'An illiterate', I will apologise and be guided henceforth. An illiterate person, an illiterate girl, an illiterate congregation, a tactically illiterate coach etc NEVER An illiterate ![]() |
Amefrica:Both a noun and an adjective, I agree. And I've used a poor example to buttress my point, but scour your reference point - the internet, and show me ONE instance of an individual referred to as 'An illiterate'. An illiterate person may sound redundant, but it's redundant-ly correct. Either that or simply say 'he is illiterate'. Labelling someone 'An illiterate' obviously shows you're both in the same state. |
olafunny:There's nothing like 'An illiterate' in the English language. It's an adjective, so it qualifies a noun. An illiterate person, not an illiterate. Can you say 'I married a beautiful' ? ![]() |
I wonder when speaking the truth became synonymous with seeking attention. If nothing, Oby has remained resolute in her quest for change, always pointing out that our president is NOT beyond redemption in the eyes of the citizenry despite his shortfalls and gaffes. Seeing the comments most of our youth make here, it's obvious ours is a mercenary generation, kowtowing to either the highest bidder or dancing to tribal and religious drums. Some clown even mentioned that the Chibok girls aren't missing! It's stupidity like this that has misguided GEJ and the sycophants are unrelenting despite the damage caused. Unless you're a bloody hypocrite, the presidents' trip was ill-timed and ill-advised. He suddenly remembered a place where citizens are living as refugees and being slaughtered at will by terrorists one month to re-election and some people here think it's ok and Oby should shut it? Can anybody in his right senses run his family or business the way GEJ is running Nigeria and expect to be applauded? |
inme:Biko, which part of Nigeria is called North? Your friend is lying anyway as I've yet to see it being rejected. It's actually in high demand. |
fpeter:And what's the reference to northerners supposed to connote? |
gboss4sure:The said $5bn is first off, a figment of the writer's imagination. Did they fly the cash in? Do you know how much havoc that sum can cause, or to what extent it'll help the Ukrainian economy if it was truly in circulation? So where is it now?The pertinent question should be when did the protests occur- Before Russia's invasion or after. So technically, what triggered it? |
gboss4sure:You've done your analysis upside down to suit your claim, which oozes conspiracy that most of us thrive on. Russia was worried that it'd lose access to the black sea thru Ukraine's alliance with NATO. Putin pressured the former president to postpone joining the EU, and he was ousted as the opposition became suspicious. Russia has refused to recognize the new authority in Kiev, and instead sent its troops to occupy the Crimean peninsula. Meanwhile the EU and US recognize the new government in Kiev, and sanctions have been meted against Russia. Who's the aggressor? Who's violating international law blatantly? Who's infringing on another country's territory? Google is only your friend when you're able to sift fact from fiction and conspiracy. |
gboss4sure:Erm, I digress from the topic, but kindly share how America started the crisis in Ukraine, and exactly what interests Russia is protecting. |
talktofemi:I didn't call it that- That's exactly what it is- THEFT. |
talktofemi:No matter how you try to justify it, taking what doesn't belong to you is called THEFT. But then, most bank customers are opportunistic rogues so c'est la vie.... |
Quite simple- If they contact you again, tell them to initiate a reversal since they committed the error, not you. You shouldn't transfer the money on their behalf, let alone an inter bank transfer. If you transfer or withdraw the funds, the audit trail will always lead back to you. |
Luxury tax my foot. How many people in Nigeria have Dom perignon stashed casually in their fridge or consume Moet to the extent that taxing them now seems a viable means of generating revenue? Which local airlines have first class seating that is worth taxing before they assert that poor Nigerians only fly economy? VAT increase will affect every single citizen and reduce our spending power, with definitely no increase in income in the foreseeable future. Reduce the aircraft in presidential fleet, reduce salaries and allowances of the legislature at federal level, dovetail duties of MDAs with duplicate functions and wind down the others. The above I listed is just to curtail waste from the government's point of view before they descend on the hen-pecked Nigerian citizenry as usual. |
That atm reverse pin tip is a bloody hoax, has never worked in Nigeria and far as i know, won't work in the near future. It's not the first we've heard of it, and won't be the last time we'll debunk it. Enter your pin in reverse and watch the terminal seize your card, then the robbers bruise you eventually. Need to try that car remote tip though. |
major466:Seems the word ignorance just came to you on a whim. Please refer me to proof, hardcopy or soft, where your American 'declaration' was made, and I will stand down. |
major466:The first statement is a blatant lie, American parliament NEVER made that prediction. Nigerians that cannot read and understand did that, so please retract that fallacy. Where was America when China was attaining greatness? Or were they preoccupied with the 'Destroy Nigeria' project they failed to notice China's rise? Keep blaming America- for our wrong choice of leaders, corruption endorsement, eroded morals, declining standards in education, non-existent security and zero power supply. Rubbish people that blame others for the poor choices we make ![]() |
I feel it's a game done in bad taste. There's nothing fun and relaxing about terrorism, just ask the victims. |
duni04:Sound warning there. I expect anyone that made his money legitimately would expect any business he's investing in, to at least be properly registered by regulatory authorities, and due diligence carried out before investment. The moral here? Register your business to make it legit and project it as professional. |
am4truth:So far you've told us only one thing that works to your advantage- Location. I also know for a fact that there are several poultry farmers already established in Jos, most steadily supplying hotels and caterers in Abuja esp. Do you have a farm already, and looking to expand? How many birds do you have and how many eggs per week presently? Do you have a ready buyer, market? How much did you set up the present one and when did you break even? What was your turnover in the last 12mths or 6mths? |
RothmasPop:What can it do that the others cannot do? What platform does it run on? Who are your target users? Remember that for every Twitter, Viber or Watsapp that becomes hugely successful, there are hundreds of functional and equally free messaging apps on Google store....largely unknown. Differentiate yours. |
akinvest:And this is the part on Dragons Den when Duncan Bannatyne Rips into you for having the guts to come empty handed and ask for other people's money to start your business. You have to bring something to the table- Infrastructure, An existing business, Some capital...anything! |
Most times, one wonders why or how the laws of economics do not work in Nigeria. Our case cannot be different from the rest of the world unless we are truly incompetent. |
calebo101:You seem to have just this template, cut and paste response to anything remotely related to PDP, GEJ, APC or bokoharam. Your beloved ND is still under-developed backwater, infested with common criminals presiding as local warlords. What makes you think even 100% resource allocation will make a difference to your standard of living or quality of government? If Jonathan is doing such a good job, according to you, you should campaign for him to represent ND interests after his presidency! |
Thank God that he looks at the heart and not the outward appearance. So whilst we can point fingers and accuse others of hypocrisy, God accepts their praise and supplication as genuine. God will have mercy on whom He'll have mercy. |
donmalcolm21:Does it really matter where the points are? The irony is that Seme border where the country loses massive custom duty income due to smuggling isn't in the north, is it? We have to outgrow this closed mind mentality of region, religion and tribe to progress. |
mikeansy:Your argument is that he didn't compose his speech himself, do you seriously believe that GEJ composes his? There's a speech writer to do this, even Obama has one. GEJ will never engage this man in a public debate please be realistic. You want ur president to dig himself into a deeper hole with his mouth abi? |
Purefoy may be unbiased but this analysis is skewed. He should remember that in Politics, especially Nigerias', money talks. Buhari isn't one to offer money to delegates, that's not to say it wasn't offered on his behalf by others. Some delegates are bound because of what they've been paid and in my opinion, 60% will do just fine from the primaries. He needs a solid running mate to give PDP a good run as this is the closest we're going to get to uprooting GEJs reign of daftness and bloodshed. |
I don't know why this riles me, but i can't stand seeing the driver of a vehicle putting his hand out the window and holding onto the roof of the car... I've tried it to see what gives, but nothing! Almost looks like the driver is holding the door from falling off.. ![]() |
