Normalcy cannot exist in a looted, burnt out, deserted town. Can any of you go and sleep there, soldier or no soldier? They should just tell us they have regained the town but saying normalcy has returned is pushing it too far at the moment. Saw tanks being shipped out of yola this evening, wonder where they're to be deployed. |
Ideyontop:Did she or did she not abuse her office and wrongly purchase overpriced vehicles for her personal use? I'm showing you images of airports supposedly upgraded during her tenure, now being given facelifts once more. If you have images of the remodeled airports, please be kind enough to share to buttress your claims. I have more than enough to show you of her rubbish works. And lastly, fixing the airports under her purview is NOTHING spectacular Abeg. That's what her job description says. Allegations of corruption however, are the issues that have tarnished her image, and should ordinarily preclude her from being elected to public office. But then, what do i know? Does PDP have any morals? Do Nigerians deserve the looters they get as leaders? |
Ideyontop:Enjoying the ripples of her transformation you say? Do you fly at all? If so, name ONE airport which you consider transformed under her leadership. Some of you people really DESERVE to have criminals as your representatives ![]()
|
Zoharariel:Conspiracy theorists were bound to turn up here.. ![]() CIA gimmick you claim? Where's your proof? Putin too honourable you claim? The same Putin that's scrambling for portions of Ukraine? Please define honour biko.... You seriously believe that because the plane or crew is Russian, Putin would be aware of its mission or cargo? Dude the man has bigger delusions of grandeur than to be bothered about Chad and Nigeria. |
Amazing what Nigerians are willing to believe when they want to shift blame. What equipment in the northeast is so sophisticated that the US had to request it for the drill? And the NA declined because it'll leave citizens at the mercy of insurgents... ![]() There's NOTHING here, read my lips, the NA here are just infantry and carry one primary weapon. So the US asked for all our AK47s abi? Comic relief for the weekend. |
silvermania:With his wealth of experience, he must not necessarily become an employer of labour. Do you know how much value he can add to a start-up, or how he can help improve an already established firm? Secondly, what makes you think organizations want younger employees? And if you're so sure, how come we have so many fresh graduates still unemployed? Op perhaps your industry is the problem, not so much your age. Have you considered this? |
Well it's better than Crack attack, when the display of female butt crack was the fad. I felt like slapping some girls that period.. ![]() |
Where did they draw the sample group from? PDP headquarters obviously. Rubbish poll, rubbish result. 1 hour of electricity a day, plus i get to pay 4500 a month for electricity supply |
Captwahala:Even common Nigerian police wear masks these days, I wonder how it aids their performance. How can armed men drive around with no form of identification and not arouse suspicion or cause panic? |
The list is in no particular order. Mossad is ruthlessly efficient, head and shoulders above the rest. I'd even rate MI6 ahead of the CIA but Pakistan's ISI? Corruption riddled and largely compromised, but i gather they're feared in their country. DSS and NIA will never make this list, least of all because of the quality of their recruits Where CIA goes to top colleges to head hunt talent, senators and ministers send daft unfit candidates to become civil servants at DSS. |
BH is an Islamist terror group, we cannot disguise it with euphemisms. It's true that the trend shows mostly Christians as the victims, sadly it's also true that the Muslim ummah failed to publicly denounce the group as anti-Islamic from the start. In the mind of most Nigerians, their silence implies tacit approval of BH atrocities, harsh as this may seem. Bombs and bullets know neither tribe nor religion of their victims,we all bleed and grieve the same. When Muslims realise that Christians have never been the enemy,Maybe we can then face our common foe with vigour. |
Things fall apart eventually! The cheek of this administration to even claim bragging rights on performance. GEJ has 'performed' so well, he's currently being considered for impeachment ![]() I knew Okupe wouldn't take this lying down, shameless propagandist. |
This is a step in the right direction, but they also have to reward rank and file. No commander succeeds without the sacrifice of his men. The media will do well to circulate this, as they have been prompt to circulate the court martial of deserters. |
Chukwugekwu:I'm convinced now that PDP is distributing clueless- ness to all its supporters by default. Let me try ONE more time with you - An example. Abubakar Shekau is a terrorist. He's threatening Nigeria's sovereignty and existence. He kills Nigerians daily. He's NOT a political office holder therefore the FG and security agencies should ALLOW him, since he's just a common 'militant'. Is this what you mean? Your response will determine who the fool truly is... ![]() The govt set this dangerous precedence by allowing common criminals have free reign in society. |
DobleO7:Good, was Asari arrested or charged with treason? Why then should Amaechi be charged with treason? Just invite Amaechi for a 'chat' too, preferably over tea.. You GEJ apologists don't know when to quit, do you? |
Abraham2013:Is it that people who support PDP/GEJ automatically lose the ability to reason overnight? Asari is a criminal so he gets to threaten the country and goes Scot free, but Amaechi is a governor so he should be prosecuted? Something is dreadfully wrong with you and your ilk. |
standupguy:Intelligent bleep, so the standards are different for public office holders and recognized criminals? And by your logic Asari has no case to answer? Think before you post, not the other way round ![]() |
If I recall, a certain Asari Dokubo, an ex-militant, threatened Nigeria with war if GEJ doesn't win elections come 2015. I also recall NOBODY called for his arrest or ascribed his threats as treason till date. Doyin Okupe and his master apparently suffer from Selective Amnesia ![]() |
Your observation is spot on. It's sad that we clothe everything with tribal or religious sentiments, all the time to our detriment. Notice how people shamelessly come out to support 'their own' even when the accused is guilty. The cry is always 'witch hunt' or that the accused isn't the first to commit such a crime. It's shocking, even in churches and mosques, we are reluctant to call a spade a spade. Sadly, our leaders are a direct reflection of the masses, hence our inability to call them out. The remedy we've worked out is to patiently await our turn, then steal as much possible as quickly as possible ![]() |
Vessi:Even if they return the weapons, I'll still call GEJ clueless ![]() More importantly, NO ONE gave the vigilantes any weapons! Get your facts straight please. You need to see the bolt action rifles, bows and arrows they're using to chase BH. No hunter becomes proficient in handling automatic weapons overnight, try reason sometimes. BH use Nigerian army issued weapons and armour, who's fooling who? Who pulled an entire brigade out of Mubi without a fight? Was it Atiku also? |
Vessi:First off, he doesn't own the vigilantes, at least be truthful in your assertions and ask questions where in doubt. They weren't armed with any special weapons either, they just know the terrain better and are fighting for their land, families and future. If it was such an easy stunt, how come the president didn't order the army to flush out BH and he takes the credit? At this stage in Adamawa, we hardly care who does the fighting, as long as they're able to halt BH. Nigerian army is the largest donor to BH arms cache, this is common knowledge. Where else in the military world does a warrior give up his weapon, shed his garb and don civilian attire before the enemy approaches? If you have proof that Atiku, Buhari or even TB Joshua is behind BH, please step out. But in the meantime, the president and his CDS come across as clowns commanding fools. |
Op, you posted a story you obviously haven't read or understood... A grim-faced Pena Nieto said the findings had "shocked and offended" Mexico and pledged to round up everyone involvedThat's their president speaking, assuming responsibility. This week, Mexican police captured the former mayor of Iguala and his wife, who the government suspects of being the probable masterminds of the abductionsThat's the arrest of a mayor alleged to have ties with a drug cartel responsible for the disappearance. GEJ once publicly announced that he has BH in his cabinet- Have they been arrested or made known? The case has dented Pena Nieto's popularity74 deaths have thrown Mexico's presidents' popularity out the window and jeopardized his government's achievements. How many girls are missing from Chibok again? How many students were blown to bits before GEJ's declaration? How many Nigerians die daily at the hands of BH? How many are presently displaced from their homes? Your post clearly shows what a capable president should do or has done. Compare it to your Jona's daily empty promise to bring perpetrators to book for the last 5 years ![]() Sycophants, Learn. |
That wreckage is not a military helicopter, definitely not the type in yola anyway. |
The Nigerian army is not committed to winning this war against insurgency at all ![]() We have long suspected complicity on the part of the military high command, and its now so glaring that anyone who ignores it, does so at personal peril. Hunters and civilians launched an offensive that effectively dislodged BH and they fled to the neighbouring town of Gombi. Our army, as usual, had beat a hasty retreat back to Yola, leaving the terrorists to escape to safety. Can we keep fooling ourselves indefinitely? You need to see what weapons hunters used to overpower BH. It's becoming clear that citizens have to resort to self help in this fight, the army is a fifth column as far as we can see ![]() |
Litmus:Made plenty of sense till you decided to add this irrational bit on Cameroon and Chad. Special forces to remove who biko? Let's stop looking for whom to blame when we're setting our house on fire with our own hands. Cameroonian gendarmes are the ones ferrying our refugees back to Yola since Mubi fell, not our useless ambassador who hasn't deemed it fit to setup a proper displaced persons camp till date. We kid ourselves when we blame other countries for our leaders ineptitude, insensitivity and glaring indifference. |
Collynzo9:Is the COAS himself a wartime General? How many times has he been at the frontline in his career? People join the army for a myriad of reasons but this is hardly the avenue for you to carry out your hate campaign. Allow us grieve here. |
Collynzo9:What are you insinuating here? Must your reasoning be clouded by tribal inanity? This is not right at all, how long can we live like this? He gave his life in the course of duty and the least we can do is appreciate him for the sacrifice. Your retort is totally inappropriate ![]() |
NgeneUkwenu:Cracking me up terribly. ![]() |
dlox147:Are you seriously going to count multiple vehicles registered by the same person as separate? If I own 2 cars, am I automatically 2 Nigerians? I'd laugh if you guys think we're all dense. |
Nice stuff, will definitely add this to my library. My pal and I still can't get over the pidgin English in MW3, survival mode- 'I go troway de bomb', 'Dem shoot am' ![]() |
I wasn't diagnosed with asthma till I was 28, then it dawned on me that I'd been alive purely by God's mercy. I remembered the nights I awoke breathless and my mum used all her mummy powers to get me breathing- hot towels, warm beverages, Chinese balm etc....The attacks were rare but severe, probably why I never got looked at by a doctor as a child. I played basketball thru out high school, played in university and played a lot after uni whilst awaiting nysc, hence my shock at the discovery. Had to get a ventolin inhaler in 2012 though after another rare emergency, my first in more than 30yrs, but I rarely need it. |
I let her have the remote control when she gets home ![]() If #Telemundo was a man, a jealous husband would've gunned him down by now ![]() |
