@Op, According to you, any media outfit that accurately reports the gains of BH, is probably in cahoots with the terrorists e.g BBC, CNN, Channels even NL..interesting line of reasoning there.

Are the reports of mutiny by the Nigerian army also false? How about the casualty figure of our troops and officers, fake as well? Has the military command ever disputed casualty figures released by the press?
Are you anywhere near northeastern Nigeria? Have you ever heard of madagali, maiha, michika or garkida- towns that BH attack with ease and retreat at their own pace and will? Is the loss of Gwoza and Damboa also media hype? Lastly, have you ever seen the corpses of our fallen soldiers being brought to the morgue at FMC in pickup trucks?

The report is abit misleading. When you employ contract staff to replace exiting full-time employees, you've DECREASED staff salary overhead. You didn't literally slash their salaries, just opted for a cheaper alternative to reach your goals. Technically you've, reduced salaries.

Do not be reactive but proactive. When I heard it the first thing I did was to do some researches on the medicinal capability of salt. Why don,t you do so and free yourself of ignorance

If you did your research thoroughly, you'd also know that salt is a weak disinfectant, therefore, it shouldn't be considered as a first line of defence against germs or viruses as better alternatives obviously abound.
Can you measure the amount of salt per litre of water to ensure its efficacy and/ or safety? You guys can soak in salt all you want, just stop bandying it about as the solution to Ebola. For me, dettol will do just fine.

So someone woke my wife this morning urging her to bathe us all in salt water, and also rub salt ALL over ourselves to stave off the Ebola virus. Needless to say we have been arguing over this as she has already polished our son with table salt since the warning came from her mum

Don't learn the big words. They'll come later. Read, read, read! You can start with the African Writers Series, Chinua Achebe, Cyprian Ekwensi etc. Simple grammar, classy diction, interesting reading too!

You can't go wrong starting with Chinua or Cyprian, and the big words will definitely come later. Read aloud to practice pronunciation especially when you come across New words.

Nigeria's militant Islamists are in control of the key town of Damboa in north-eastern Nigeria, a local vigilante leader has told the BBC.

The vigilante force defending the town fled on Sunday, and Islamist group Boko Haram's black flag is now flying over Damboa, he said.

At least 40 people were killed when Boko Haram first raided Damboa on Friday, the vigilante leader added.

The group has been fighting since 2009 to create an Islamic state in Nigeria.

In April, it sparked international outrage by abducting more than 200 girls from their boarding school in Chibok, in Borno state, like Damboa.

The BBC's Chris Ewokor in the capital, Abuja, says when Boko Haram seized towns and villages in the past, it was driven out by the military.

However, government forces have failed to launch an offensive to recapture Damboa, he says.

Meanwhile, a military helicopter flying in the area crashed after developing a technical fault, the defence ministry says.

During the fighting in Damboa, some electric installations were damaged and this has left the regional capital, Maiduguri, without electricity for three weeks, a local resident has told the BBC.

Damboa is about 85km (53 miles) from Maiduguri, the headquarters of Boko Haram before it was driven out by government forces last year.

Mogidi: Boko haram, the APC's armed wing has been doing this for years, anyway I just hope the APC hierarchy has not approved this one. It won't be out of place for the local APC members to resort to bank robbery to fund Osun election.

This is true, but you also have to consider that 99% of Nyako's infractions were committed while still in the PDP.

Now you're losing it mate. Respect is earned and it's mutual. Being in the military doesn't place you above the law but in Nigeria, you guys bring disrepute to the uniform. Instead of upholding the law, you guys break it DAILY and insist on using brute force to get your way. Gone were the days when your battle fatigues brought glances of admiration and respect. Now soldiers presence makes people wary and suspicious because the uniform is mostly worn by punks and thugs.

That said, it's always sad when the young die, especially to die for a country such as Nigeria. I can't imagine the anguish of his family at this time, May God comfort them.

Take a little tour of the biography of people whom you attest to their contribution in the leadership world and you will understand what I mean. Intelligence is an academic assessment, it has little or nothing in real life.

How can intelligence ever be an academic assessment? Academic qualifications can probably pass for assessment, never your intelligence.

For the purpose of telemarketing or call operatives, a basic requirement is for the candidate NOT to be heavily accented, keyword being heavily. This has nothing to do with self esteem, as you hastily summarised. I personally won't appreciate anyone telling me "Thank you for choosing Hairtel", especially if said person failed to resolve my issues.

There are two main reasons I see daily-
1. Customers at the teller points are reluctant to collect lower bills, for whatever reasons I cannot fathom. If you give a customer even 500 naira bills worth 50k, which is just a packet, they ask if you have something 'higher' because they don't want to get mugged. Others say they can't carry lots of cash so they'd rather have 1000 naira bills. Occasionally, you have no choice but to pay out only lower denominations and drama ensues. The polite customers receive the cash and deposit it right back to their accounts. The brash/loud customers tell you they cannot accept this type of money because they're not 'market- women'. Meanwhile it's a criminal offence to reject legal tender.

2. CBN just doesn't print enough lower denominations; I doubt it has anything to do with the plan to revert to paper money. After all, 200 and 100 bills are paper, but you'd be hard pressed to find decent ones in circulation and new notes are a rarity!

And the melodrama that is GEJ's administration gets more twisted than a tourniquet. PDP is between the devil and the deep blue- Kick out Tukur and GEJ or hang on to both and SINK(Definitely) come 2015.
