A barber was allegedly assaulted by soldiers after cutting the wrong hairstyle for a man's daughter yesterday in Asaba, Delta state. According to an online report, trouble started after the barber couldn't perfect the hairstyle the man wanted for his daughter - thereby prompting the man not to pay as he took his daughter to another saloon.

It was reported that this morning, the man stormed the barber's shop with soldiers and assaulted him.

Human rights advocate,Prince Gwamnishu Harrison shared the sad story online. Below is what he wrote;

BARBER ASSAULTED IN ASABA BY SOLDIERS FOR CUTTING WRONG HAIR STYLE.

Received a call from a barber to please rescue his boy from further maltreatment by soldiers (fully dressed in Army Uniform).

We couldn't get to the scene due to wrong address given by the caller. (Apologies).

WHAT HAPPENED

The man who led the soldiers took her daughter to the saloon yesterday to cut her hair and told the barber the hair style he want for his daughter.

Unfortunately, the barber couldn't perfect the hair style and the man refused to pay, took his daughter to another barber shop.

At about 9:46am, this morning he stormed the barber shop with soldiers and assaulted the barber.

We asked the neighbors around and they gave same statement.

A case of Assault has been reported on his behalf by BBI at the Police station and also Army Mini barrack Asaba. #MoreUpdate

Lying is a bad habit that’s easy to get into and hard to get out of. If you’ve caught your man lying red-handed on more than one occasion, you’ll need to consider the very real possibility that he isn’t worth marrying.

He Doesn’t Put You First

If a man doesn’t put you first, you have to ask yourself the question – when will he put me first? The answer is probably never. Guys who don’t prioritise their women are instead in the habit of prioritising their buddies, their work or their hobbies. Love comes last, and if it’s always been this way in your relationship, there is a good chance that it won’t change.

He’s Possessive

It’s okay for someone to be a tad possessive at first. It’s even kinda cute. But you two have been together a while and he’s still being extra clingy, it’s a habit he’s probably not going to break. In fact, it probably means he’s a control freak. And that kind of man isn’t worth walking down the altar with.

He Likes To Win Arguments

If he gets a smug sense of satisfaction whenever he wins an argument between you guys and literally hates the fact that even once he could be wrong, it’s a bad habit that you should take as a red flag. No one in a relationship should go into an argument wanting to win. Instead, the goal should be a resolution that suits both parties. If your partner always has to be right? He isn’t worth your time.

He Won’t Take Responsibility

When we refuse to acknowledge our mistakes and take for responsibility for something that was OUR fault, we’re behaving like children. Worse still, we’re passing the blame onto someone else. Even worse, we’re not giving ourselves the chance to learn from our mistakes. If this sounds a lot like your man, he isn’t marriage material at this point.

He Has An Unhealthy Lifestyle

If he drinks and smokes too much while you’re trying to lead a healthier life, it’s a strong sign that you guys aren’t meant to be. Sure, he could cut down on his drinking and quit smoking. But if he’s tried in the past to no avail, it might be best if you avoid this kind of guy.

A woman identified as Vivian is filled with thanks to God for delivering her and other passengers from the hands of a ritual killer inside the bus while traveling to Kaduna state. The woman who is a member of The Lord's Chosen Int'l, said that the ritualist became powerless after sighting the church's apron as it was filled with fire.

She and her co-passengers were traveling, on getting to Kaduna, the vehicle had fault. It was repaired but later developed another fault. They were all afraid and decided to stop over after they had the premonition that something bad would happen. They started praying in the bus and powers took over everywhere.

They decided to search everybody in the bus, lo and behold, they saw some human heads with other incriminating objects inside a bag of the man sitting behind her. When he was accosted, he said he planned killing all of them on the way. This happened immediately our sister declared herself a Chosen three good times. Other things sighted in his bags were dead head of human being, dogs, cow, cat, hen and other animals, etc.

Everyone in the bus became surprise and started shouting Jesus. They asked the man who owned the bag, what his missions was, and he replied that his mission was to kill all the people at the bridge in Lokoja but the girl sitting at his front was wearing an apron (Chosen Apron). When he looked at the apron, it was fire to him.

As they came out, the man asked her (Sis Vivian) to step forward. Other passengers were asking her, if she had anything to do with the man and she said no. She made known who she is to them, that she's a Chosen and why the man was asking her to come out, he said the apron she wore is filled with fire.

On hearing that, people began to shout, bullet proof! bullet proof!! bullet proof!!! Her co-passengers asked her the location of the Lord's Chosen Church she attends and she directed them. A woman in the bus said she don't talk evil about our G.O, that she knows our G.O is a true man of God.

This is how God delivered them and granted them journey mercies. The man (the ritualist) was handed over to the police. She's returning all glories unto our only good God who did this to her.

A single mother, Ezechi Nwanneka, has been arrested by the police in Enugu for allegedly selling her baby boy for N300,000.

The boy, who has not been recovered, was reportedly resold for N350,000 by one Okechukwu Nyia, who bought the baby from Nwanneka, the mother.

Nwanneka, a native of Akama Oghe village, in the Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, was said to have been impregnated by an unidentified person.

Following the development, the lady left her family house for an unknown destination, and in November 2017, she announced that she has been delivered of a baby boy.
However, the said baby boy was not shown to her family members, who became suspicious when she reappeared without the child.


Nwanneka’s parents informed the police and investigation revealed that the baby had been sold to Nyia for N300,000.

Spokesman, Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the development, said investigation further revealed that the buyer, Nyia, later resold the baby to a yet to be identified person.

“The suspects (Nwanneka and Nyia) are helping police operatives in their investigation concerning a yet to be identified suspect whom Okechukwu Nyia allegedly sold the baby boy to at the rate of N350,000,” Amaraizu added.

The police spokesman vowed that the Command was determined to apprehend the yet to be identified buyer and recover the missing boy.

In another development, a mother of three, Uwakwe Nkechi, has reportedly attempted suicide in Enugu by taking rat poison.

Nkechi, who resides at Umuezeoha Ojotta, Awkunanaw, in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State, was said to have attempted to take her life due to some unspecified ‘differences’ between her and her husband.

Amaraizu explained that the incident, which occurred on April 24, had been brought to the attention of the police.

He further revealed that Nkechi was rushed to a hospital in the Uwani area of Enugu, where doctors saved her life.
Amaraizu added that the Enugu State Police Command was investigating the incident.

Obanliku Local Government Area is situated in Northern Cross River State, approximately eight hours drive from Calabar the State Capital to access.

According to the journalist, the traditional practice is presently ongoing in a remote part of Cross River State South South Nigeria where, young girls are being sold out for a kind of marriage known as, "The Money Marriage" and the victim, Money Woman.

The practice which is as old as tradition itself is carried out without the consent of the girl who in most cases, is sold out to clear debts owed by a family relation even before her birth.

At each of the communities visited, victims of the Money Marriage through the help of the missionary were quick to share with Channels Television their experiences as Money Women or Money wives.

The Money Woman practice according to tribes in becheve is a status thing and a show of pride as there is virtually no family in Becheve that is not without a Money Woman.

The victims are most times used to settle debts owed by her relatives and when her husband dies, his next-of-kin marries her and if the girl-wife dies without giving birth to children, her parents are obligated to bring a replacement in accordance with customary demands.

In cases where a money woman gets pregnant by another man, the husband hold claims of the children and if the woman eventually gives birth to a baby girl, she is in turn sold out to a willing buyer without her consent.

‘Money Wives’ are not allowed the right to education and in every sale, the girl’s opinion is not sought. She is the bread winner.

Victims of this marriage are sold for as low as Ten Thousand Naira, few goats and pigs, tubers of yam, depending on the man's bargain power.

The buyer determines what he does with the money woman even if he uses her for ritual purposes.

Once a girl is sold out for Money Marriage, she is considered dead by her own immediate family and warned never to return back irrespective of how she is being treated by her husband or his relatives.

A woman who went on a stealing spree - got more than she expected after she was allegedly caught in the act. It was gathered that the woman stole eight chickens at a market in Benin city, Edo state before she was reportedly apprehended.

The angry mob decided to humiliate her in public as they stripped her unclad and paraded her round the market to serve as a deterrent to others.

The embattled Senator Dino Melaye was on Thursday morning brought into the Lokoja Senior Magistrates’ court 2 on a stretcher.


He was brought in a Toyota Hiace police ambulance with the registration number NPF2214D.

Journalists who had laid siege to the courtroom were asked to step out for security screening.
