And are people not being kidnapped/abducted and raped in the US as well? >>https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kidnapping_in_the_United_States >> https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/famous-abduction-cases/ >> http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/11/29/texas-man-gets-1000-years-in-prison-in-sex-abuse-young-girls.html |
Glory be to God for the fast recovery. But we didn't need govt officials to go welcome him at the airport. He's not a crown prince. The govt spokesmen have been saying people should stop disturbing them for update about him "because he's a private citizen"; so how come he's welcomed by Ministers? I don't think this will even happen in the UK or KSA that practise monarchy. |

I'll have ignored you, but you'll easily conclude you got me locked down. Do I sound like someone who's supporting any of the two? AirFireEarthH20:Wish I'd never answered your question. Have a good day. |
AirFireEarthH20:Anyway I don't know if Lagos state has a similar law, but if they have, I hope they amend it too. But we know Saraki compelled his state legislature to pass the law in order to continue to have a sense of belonging and relevance in Kwara. And we know Fashola is not a godfather like Saraki is. This is just the beginning for Saraki. His charm are beginning to fade off the people of Kwara. |
It seems Kwara is beginning to wean itself off from the stranglehold of the Saraki dynasty. This law seem to be targeted at her, it's clear to the blind. No more double salary for Saraki. Lalasticlala, your attention is needed. |
The Kwara State House of Assembly, yesterday, passed into law a bill to suspend payment of pension to former governors and deputy governors during any period they hold political or public office. The passage of the bill was sequel to a report earlier presented by the Chairman, House Committee on Establishment and Public Service, Emmanuel Folorunsho Abodunrin. https://thepress.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/images-72-2.jpeg The Deputy Speaker, Elder Matthew Okedare, who presided over yesterday’s sitting, praised members for ensuring prompt passage of the bill which was sponsored by the Member representing Omupo Constituency, Mashood Bakare, and directed the Clerk of the House, Alhaji Ahmed Katsina Mohammed, to prepare a clean copy for the governor’s assent. Under the amended law, former governors and deputy governors will cease to enjoy pension whenever they hold a political or public office. However, the law will not be applicable where the person does not receive any remuneration on account of holding such office. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/kwara-assembly-suspends-pension-for-working-ex-govs-deputies.html# |

Some gullible people will not read the story but will rather turn the news upside down to fit the preconceived narrative in their hateful mind. They'll soon tell us Trump is dealing with Nigeria "so that Nigeria can “release” Biafra" .It was simply a private citizen that was labeled, not the government. QED. |
Those who made jest of the other episode where some members were captured fleeing from masquerades, will avoid this thread. Any news story that seems to cast aspersions on a pastor/church gives them joy while they'll vehemently try to refute positive ones. |
All the blame squarely lie on our ineffectual Judiciary that if I have the chance I'll disband into 100 pieces! Are the following people whose trials have been stalled for nearly 3 years also APC members: >>Yourself >>Olisa Metuh >>Former Jigawa gov, Lamido >>Danjuma Goje >>Ihedi Ohakim >>Farouk Lawan ? |
So sad. Israeli PM has been indicted for corruption. He stole no single dollar, but because he secretly entered into a deal with a newspaper publisher to give favourable coverage about his government. In the next few weeks, he'll most likely resign and still be dragged to court to face trial! Yeah, Israël is a country where the law works. They've jailed at least two past prime ministers and counting. And the wife has also been indicted for spending "mere" $20,000 and there's no escape route for her as well because Israeli judiciary is not Nigerian in any way. But here's a Nigerian former first Lady laying claim to millions of dollars shamelessly and she isn't even fearing the possibility of going to jail because she knows she'll likely bribe her way through. seguno2:Did I tell you I'm in support of Abacha's thievery? This is shifting of goalpost. Keep on making escuses for corruption, then turn back and blame the govt for not recording success against it. |
Very good. All the so-called Grazing Reserves should be in the north, excluding Kogi, kwara and Benue states. ![]() |
OK |
dlondonbadboy:Coming from a "bad boy", I'll take this with a pinch of salt. |
Wow! A conviction has been wrought! I've always known that there's nothing wrong with preaching about how children of God can be prosperous, but it becomes wrong when our pastors begin to overflog it as if it were the gatepass to heaven. Lalasticlala, come and see abeg. |
Lies. |
Are you sure this guy is more than 15 years? Because this is childishness at its peak. But can we even trust bloggers? No sreenshot post to backup the picture. ![]() |
MhizAJ:Ann, you are beginning to sound "spoilt" small small. |
What sort of politics do we want to be practising in Nigeria? So, because Tinubu supported Buhari (was he the only one and are we running a banana Republic?), Buhari should give him an office in Asorock? If Buhari had given him more concession in terms of bringing in more of Tinubu's appointees, we'd have still complained that Tinubu has pocketed him! |
Ordinarily, the North should be having the highest concentration of prisoners but the police force there is ineffectual. Their "area boys"can chase policemen off, even if policemen were with rifles and the "area boys" have no arms. That's why it's almost impossible to see a southerner or Christian serving as police commissioner over there. Hahaha....he will be just a sissy. Kai...let me not say too much ![]() |
Nowenuse: HiddenShadow:So it was only Benue that made Buhari to win the election? Have herdsmen not been killing people for more than 30 years? Have herdsmen not killed people in the south south, east and west? Waiting for your answer. You people have been turning logic on its head blaming Benue State for voting Buhari, just because Buhari won there. What sort of reasoning is that? |
Nowenuse:Are you saying the Fulani herdsmen are killing hapless Benue people because your people voted for Buhari? This logic doesn't make any sense, pls. Herdsmen and Buhari are both Fulani, so what is now your point? Criticise and stop bringing the issue of vote into it because there's no relationship between the two. |
Hope those hungry men who call themselves bokoharam haven't abducted them again in order to use them as another bargaining chip to rake in new millions of dollars and release of their imprisoned bloodthirsty members. |
Tales of unfinished revolution. Sad. ![]() |
drshrewd:Are you confused? How can Rivers that has been a hotbed for killings have 10 for security? And how did you arrive at 8 for health? Abeg go sleep jeje. It seems you're indirectly campaigning for him. |
Who else has noticed that Tonye doesn't have an eye for good belts? ![]() |
To see that it's an educated (or a so-called barrister) that made that statement sends shudder down my spine. Why are some people so full of hate? Hausa as a language is one of the most beautifully-sounding languages you can ever hear. What is "rubbish" about the language? |
Not bad. "They equally told me that I should first seek for their consent before taking their images for any report."I agree with them on this. You can't just be taking people's pictures anyhow just because you're a journalist. You should have introduced yourself to them - you never did. What if you are bokoharam spy trying to map out an area for target? |
Partly true. I too have reasoned along this same line several times. Higher denominations contribute to the lowering of the purchasing power of the naira. Imagine if Sanusi had succeeded with that N5000 notes! That'd have been a disaster. Ben Bruce advised similar thing back in 2015. How I wish we could give it a go. |
Incredible. Otematum, Hopefullandlord, and the other spiritual power deniers, what sayest thou ? Would you guys say it was staged or a clip from a movie? ![]() |
